Romance / Birthday Gift For My Fiance by prittigrrr(f): 1:25pm On Jun 15, 2009
My fiance's birthday will be here in just under 2 weeks. I need some ideas for gifts. I am going to try to make him an African meal other than the pepper soup he taught me, but I would also like to get him a special, yet reasonably priced, gift. He will be 52 and is extremely picky about clothes and his lovely shoes (I've never seen a man with nicer kicks), so for the first time I am at a loss for what to give him. Suggestions please!
Fashion / Re: Whats' The Difference Between Bleaching And Skin Toning? by prittigrrr(f): 1:52am On Jun 15, 2009
Someone already touched on this but I think this shd be explained a little better. A toner is a lotion or gel applied after a facial cleanser to remove excess dirt, oils, etc and to close the pores. A toning lotion or cream is a mild bleaching cream designed to even out minor skin discoloration like a scar, dark spot, or freckle. A toning cream is mild and not designed to change the whole skin tone, but rather to clear minor spots. A bleach is a seriously invasive product to fully lighten your skin color like Michael Jackson.

I am so sorry for the poor abused boys. Many people feel it is ok if it is a boy that is abused but it is not. I know a grown man who said a lady used to do it to him when he was a small boy. He feels it did not affect him, but the guy is obsessed with women and sex. I would say it definitely affected him! Parents, please, please watch your kids and trust NO ONE!

Romance / Re: Your Other Half's Name by prittigrrr(f): 2:56pm On Jun 11, 2009
@ Luxoire - there is nothing feminine about my guy's butt. The roundness I'm talking about is like Teye Diggs' butt in the shower scene in "How Stella Got Her Groove Back." That butt was sexy and absolutely luscious!
Romance / Re: Your Other Half's Name by prittigrrr(f): 1:55pm On Jun 11, 2009
I call him honey and baby. He calls me honey, darling, sweetheart. I used to call him daddy and he called me mommy. I didnt like mommy 4 me; he didnt like daddy 4 him. One day I called and said "hi, skinny daddy!" (He is skinny.) He told me "hi, fluffy mommy!" (I am fat) That ended all the mommy and daddy stuff.(I know I'm fat but don't want that from him) Now, as to the man's butt. I love a nice one but the ladies b4 me left one critical component: roundness! I luv seeing my man's round firm tight butt! He is 10 years older than me, but has a body like a 21 year old. I LOVE IT! Now, regarding the lady with Mr. Clinical: I knew a woman who dated a man who choreographed every part of the sex. She said he would "pose" and "position" her body and if she could not maintain the "pose" he would lose interest. (wtf! Since when does a man care abt how a meal is put on a plate?) Hope your Mr. Clinical is not this bad,

Family / Re: Adjusting To Life As A Widower by prittigrrr(f): 12:34pm On Jun 11, 2009
My fiance is a widower. I am divorced. I told him on our 1st date that I loved married life but had a bad marrige. He told me he knew nothing of a bad marriage and had only known happiness and love. I respected him from that second on. He told me problems he had with the grief of his child. I told him to please be careful and choose a loving woman who could be sensitive and attentive to the needs of the child and to him. He had been alone for 5 years and had not dated much. He had told his family that he would never marry again. Very shortly thereafter he proposed marriage to me. We are planning our wedding and life together now. We've been dating for 9 months and are still meeting each others friends and families. Life is sweet and I am looking forward to mothering his daughter and loving him.

Romance / Re: I Would Want To Marry Her But She Is Too Ugly. by prittigrrr(f): 3:57am On Jun 11, 2009
@op - You don't really want to admit it but you don't love her. It maakes you feel better to say u don't want ugly kids, but that is not it. All parents love their kids and no parent's child is ugly in the parent's eyes. You don't love this lady but got involved out of pity. Let her go and find one who will love her. She is not too ugly to marry. Also, if are sleeping with her, please stop and please cease all communications after the break up.
Family / Re: Child Support In America-your Opinions Please by prittigrrr(f): 1:24am On Jun 11, 2009
U did not get the child by yourself and you should not bear the sole support of the child. Get the support order and forget about him. The support is for your daughter's upkeep and you need to protect her inteerests. How much contact do u have to have with him. Let him have visitation. It is his right. He can exercise it if he wants and if he doesn't want to see her, that is his loss.

Family / Re: Man Enough by prittigrrr(f): 11:32am On Jun 10, 2009
As others have already said, "man enough" speaks to many things and differs for each individual. For me it encompases: bravery, courage, leadership, integrity, responsibility, honor, temperance, sobriety, vision, ambition, and wisdom. It is a very, very tall order, but if a man seeks to cultivate these traits within himself, he will do well and will have the respect and love of his wife and family.
Family / Re: Who Should Have Custody? by prittigrrr(f): 6:34pm On Jun 09, 2009
Again, this is no longer at the lower court level there in Brazil. I dont think he contested the divorce, but rather the adoption. This has become an international affair with Hillary Clinton speaking with the Brazilian authorities. He has been doing first things first. He has tried over and over to enforce his rights in Brazil. He has traveled there to try to get custody. He won at the lower court. After the step father appealed and won, he went down and appealed again. He was denied visitation over and over. He is following procedures, but the other side has not. There is nothing he can do but keep plowing away. To his surprise and pleasure, the child never forgot him and knew him immediately. As i stated above, the child's first words to him were why didn't you come see me. No doubt wrong took place here. Are you supposed to roll over because you were wronged? You just have to keep fighting even as they change the rules on you.

Family / Re: Who Should Have Custody? by prittigrrr(f): 5:58pm On Jun 09, 2009
Fhemmmy:

All u have said is nice and great, however, from the time the mother took the boy out of USA, and got married to another in Mexico, and the man in Mexico adopted the boy, the boy legally belongs to the father.
I do understand what you mean by the man never knew anything about it, however, there are few things that you need to know, when a divorce in absentia is been done, the man/woman will have to place an advert in the paper informing the man of his/her to divorce the partner, or send a letter to the partner, letting the other person to be aware of the intent to divorce, and in most cases, people always knowingly sending to wrong address, or place an advert where they are so sure the other person wont see it.
So now the woman is dead and no one to fight the divorce proceedings, so tell me who is to be blamed, the step father or the father?
Here is my take, if the man was close enuf to the kid, the father would be aware that the child was gonna be moved to Mexico.
If the father was good enuf, someone that knew about the case would have informed him and he would ave carried out some legal stuff on the case.
So for now, the step father has the legal right over the child and there is little or nothing that the biological father could do, till the child is old enuf to take the step father to court.
Mind you, i am not in support of the step father, but it is just the law.
BTW Mexico/USA treaty when it comes to family law is not that brightly spelled, there is a gray area and that is what the step father is preying upon.

You are right about legality of adoption of the proper steps are taken.  Yes, divorces occur in absentia all the time.  However, you must follow the proper procedures.  If you had knowledge of the whereabouts of the husband  or could reasonably ascertain the whereabouts of the husband, then you must attain personal service.  Iff it can be proven later that you did not do all u could to serve the father/husband with proper notice, the guy can have the divorce and adoption overeturned.  This was the basis of the lower court finding in his favor.  Family law is not gry at all.  In most states and at the international level there exists the Uniform Parental Kidnapping Laws.  This is what the wife  violated and because the stepfather and the step father's father being lawyers and very, very well connected in Brazil, they have been able to circumvent the laws of Brazil, the USA, and international law.

MRbrownJAY:

i was reading the story on the fathers website ( http://www.bringseanhome.org )and was a really sad event with a child in the middle.
the father has gone through a lot and has vow never to stop fighting until he gets his son back. his ex died during child birth, does anyone knows if the last kid survived?

The second child did survive.  The biological father stated that he felt the step father should now understand how he feels since he now has a chold of his own.

Ted Haggard I only know from TV. This lady I have known from the time she was born. I know one other person. I am not saying it is easy, but, I believe anything is possible with Christ. I also believe the Word of God would not have condemned it as wrong if deliverance could not be had from it.
Family / Re: Who Should Have Custody? by prittigrrr(f): 7:38pm On Jun 08, 2009
If the step dad legally adopted the child that is fine, but in this case, any adoption would have been ILLEGAL because the biological father had no notice. Also, the international treaties btw US and Brazil favored the biological father. The lower court, following interntional law, awarded the child to the biological father. How can they change rules in midstream? There is a saying in the law that "he who seeketh equity must have clean hands." In this case, the step dad has unclean hands. This bars the door to him.
Family / Re: Who Should Have Custody? by prittigrrr(f): 3:38pm On Jun 08, 2009
I have followed this case too. The biological dad fought for this child from the 1st day he left. The mother married a man who was a lawyer. The law on international custody btw the US and Brazil shows clearly that the biological dad should have the son. However, the step dad is well connected and hs maintained custody wrongfully. The biological dad was allowed to see the kid for the 1st time recently. The 1st thing out of the boy's mouth was 'why didn't u come see me?' The father had been to Brazil many times and denied access to the child. The child should go with the biological father. The stepdad can visit.
Family / Re: Lesbian Wife by prittigrrr(f): 2:34pm On Jun 08, 2009
@ OP- I know a lady very well. She is very beautiful and she married her college sweetheart. They have 2 teenage sons. She became friendly with a woman and was very defensive about their friendship. She said her husband did not want her to have friends (which in reality was partly true). She left her husband and moved across the country with her best friend. She stayed gone for 3-4 years. This is a lady who loved God and had lived a Christian life for years. This best friend controlled every aspect of her life. She never told me it was a lesbian relationship. She cut all ties with her family except her children. She would call and email them. I only learned of her lesbianism thru her webpage online where she stated 'gay' for sexuality. Her husband divorced her. Her father went to try to find her and bring her home and found she had repented and returned to God. She and the husband tried to reconcile. It didnt wrk. She is remarried and left that life. This is rare but can happen if one is sincere

This is a slight departure. I am an American woman and I want to know if you are a man with a wife, is it ok to court or date other women as long as you ultimately marry her? Or, is it rather that your courtship is really adultery that is seen to be validated once there is a marriage?
Romance / Re: If An Ex Came To You For Advice On Love/relationship, Would You Give? by prittigrrr(f): 3:18pm On Jun 07, 2009
I think it would be seen as unethical to give advice to a former lover here in the states so I would refer him t another advisor. There is a presumption of impropriety when u have been in a romantic relationship with someone and then are in a fiduciary relationship of trust and confidence. I would not risk my profession. However, if I were just a lay person, no problem.
Family / Re: What Would You Do If You Found Out Your Marriage May Not Be Legal? by prittigrrr(f): 1:01pm On Jun 07, 2009
@ Elisabet: You should be able to have your marriage annulled in your state if u can prove he was legally married at the time he married you. Now as to the business dealings, that will be extremely difficult t prove your sacrifices were not gifts, however you might have an action for fraud depending on the facts of your case. See lawyer in ur state.

IMHO there is no homosexuality "gene". It is a condition defined by an extremely addictive behavior. I have known ppl who were delivered from it but they are few because of the addictiveness of it and because the stigma keeps them in shame and the shame keeps them in the behavior.
