What my pastor says is that, if there is a division as to if something is correct or wrong, it is better to take caution, assuming if wearing trouser is indeed wrong for women, will they ask God to please send them back to the Earth to make amendments? So my pastor decided that ladies should not wear trousers in our church... I think this is reasonable. |

Romance › Will I Ever Understand The Women Folk (clarifications Needed) by professore(op): 4:20pm On Jan 03, 2019 |
I'm a serious minded university student and of age too,not cut out for games and not interested in womanizing because i can't stand it to look at you in the face and be deceiving you. Okay in short,i went to this girl around July last year from the beginning the conversation was cool,no attitudes from her while calling and texting. There was however a time i sent her a particular SMS displaying my interest not like asking her to be my girl directly though, but it was explicit enough to the extent that when we saw she started to ignore me. I reacted by keeping my distance immediately as I'm the direct type and don't like mind games or beating about the bush. Later she came to me acting friendly again which i flowed with her. Since then i even thought i won the game already because from my actions and nature of discussion i always reflected i wanted to be something more than a friend and i was hoping to formally ask her out soon and from her actions she was so agreeable even coming to me most times whenever i did not consider it important to go to her. However, it came to me as a surprise as she told me she got my intentions clear and she needed to tell me she's not single. To set the records straight she's not the type that demands money at all so i'm not feeling used. But then again what can now account for this degree of closeness even reading together sometimes and why did it take her from July to December to reveal her relationship status even though a woman will most likely know what you want from the very first day of going to them. Any mature idea from mature men and women is welcome, thank you.
N.B. I don't want this thread on the front page because that is not the reason for creating it. |

Car Talk › Re: Let's Talk About Brake Fluid! by professore(m): 12:29pm On Oct 03, 2018 |
AutoElectNG: Reason for thread:
Customer complaint, after repeated hard stops, brake pedal travel increases tremendously
Reason: too much moisture in the brake fluid causing it to turn into gas and making it compressible, gas is compressible, liquid far less so! As a result total loss of braking power, even replacing brake pads did not make a difference...full braking force returned as soon as the brake fluid cooled down
To avoid a situation like this, consult your manufacturer manual and replace brake fluid as per their specifications or using a commonsense schedule of every 20,000 miles or 2 years to be safe
If you are paranoid, you can replace it sooner, by sooner as soon as you notice the brake fluid has boiled, it also means that your brake fluid would have lost some of its effectiveness and also by extension, you have also lost braking power/ability.
Could this be the reason for some accidents on our roads?
The mechanic he consulted suggested that the brake fluid is ok and that the ABS is faulty and should be disconnected.
Could this also be one reason why brake components could fail and require their replacement?
Food for thought and remember, a driver is only good if he can stop the vehicle at any and all times and that job is done by brake components of which the brake fluid is a very necessary soft part which should never be taken for granted!
Engine oil does not necessarily go bad after 3,000 or 5,000 miles yet many change it, but many never consider changing brake fluid...is that not a rather worrying contradiction in service practices? This is nice. |

Especially because they work on the assumption that everyone is morally bankrupt and has zero sense of decency.
I have zero body count, so nobody should say "don't disclose body count' to me, as if I used to work as a prostitute. And most girls may not have that high a body count, so, why not disclose it? What is the point of being with someone if you cannot tell them everything? How can trust be established in the midst of secrets? I wish what you said is true but regardless of that,I respect your input, thanks for letting us know we still have the morally upright boys and girls- which is very true. |
