Well Ujujoan, for those of us that live in the west, we have to do everything ourselves. The guidelines might work for those in Africa or people who are fulltime housewives but here it has a higher percentage of not working.

We have been conditioned to think otherwise. Good or bad, I don't know but I cannot sit back and watch my partner do all the chores and I put my feet up.
Family › Re: The Good Wife Guide by proo212(m): 4:36pm On Aug 09, 2008
I don't know about being one of a kind but this is reality. Most of my friends are like this (and they all Nigerians married to Nigerians).

It's really not a big deal. But then maybe we are one of a kind,
Family › Re: The Good Wife Guide by proo212(m): 4:29pm On Aug 09, 2008
Me I don't need all of these things I beg. This obviously applied when the wife used to stay at home and look after the home and kids and the men went to work.

Hey Sistawoman, we know it is a gag gift and that's Ok

This is 2008 I beg and we are both working. So far the wife and I get on great, she has nothing to be afraid of. We can cook together, I drop the kids in the morning in school and she picks them up. Who notices if the house is spotless? So for it's not messy and we can spring clean over the weekend perhaps even naked  grin

We can do the cooking for the week on Saturday morning/afternoon

Maybe we should have a Maury Povich in Nigeria so we can also use the catch word "you are not the father" undecided
Travel › Re: What Is The Gas Prices In Your City? by proo212(m): 11:21am On Aug 09, 2008
€1.38 a litre here.

I laugh when you guys in the US complain about "Gas" prices. I would to pay 3.71 a gallon. But then it's relative. Gas has always been cheap in the US.
Romance › Re: Do We Need A TV Show To Discourage Men Who Cheat? by proo212(m): 6:14pm On Aug 08, 2008
Actually let's have the show in Nigeria and we'll be surprised at the percentage of men and women that cheat,

Like your fellow sisters don't cheat as well "rolls eyes"

If I wasn't talking from experience you would have thought I was making it up, puhlease!

I think that the above is a great summary for a short relationship, that wasn't expected to last but has. If anybody approaches a serious relationship, looking for 'da now thing' it probably isn't going to work. That's what happened to me.

You see, in a long relationship, the man has probably gotten used to you being a part of his life, that he keeps going on with it, and if he finds noone else at the time that he could see himself with, then you temporarily are the best he thinks he can get - 'til she turns up. Familiarity for some ties them to the relationship, instead of love. Another thing to consider is whether the relationship is only just routine, you're both so used to it that there's no fun in it. I personally think, that thinking about how long a couple have been going out, isn't helpful, because at times more emphasis is placed on the number of years rather than how strong/genuine the love you have between each other. Guys are more patient than we give them credit for, I think their minds work faster than we think, though men often say women are too quick as in 'we're thinking about marriage, 2 months into the relationship' but the thing is men are a lot more faster, they went through the wedding phase, when they were professing their everlasting love for you. But are now in the divorce stage, when the spark has gone, and because we're only still in the 'everything's going great phase' we fail to notice this. The more serious relationships a guy has, I think increases the time he can endure in relationships and increases his patience, that's if the girl ticks his boxes for a potential wife.
Topup, this is one of the best posts I have read from you (given what you're going through). Both sexes stay because the other person is familiar. Both sexes also leave when they feel they have had enough. This is not a guy thing, like some of our sisters will have us believe. (he's got what he wants or given the best years of her life) It depends on who can exist endure the most. Some people are content to cheat, whilst some will leave. Some will exist and be happy with it because they are getting laid regularly and no one else will look at them twice. What I would fault is why did he stay that long??

What works for one couple will not work for the other couples. Some will say the grass is definitely not greener. It's not black or white

Romance › Re: Snoop Babe? by proo212(m): 10:08am On Aug 08, 2008
Miss Deepzonehotfunmi aka OsunAmazon,

Love has nothing to do being insecure. The "love" obsession you claim to have for the person will push him away if he feels he is always getting checked on.

I better not catch the woman. You're not protecting no interest, you're just being a pain in the ass.

Women's intuition. I keep hearing this. if this is so true, why do they keep choosing the wrong partners? If they are highly intuitive, they should choose right the first time around and not have to snoop.

Romance › Re: Snoop Babe? by proo212(m): 10:28pm On Aug 07, 2008
This is a red flag right there. I catch her snooping, she's gone, except of course she's the wife then we have to have serious discussion. That is major insecurity issues here and I have no desire to always reassure an insecure person.

I don't snoop through her stuff, why should she snoop through mine?

Romance › Re: The New Specification. by proo212(m): 5:17pm On Aug 05, 2008
This is on the premise that the one with just one partner (low mileage) will be a perfect match, I roll my eyes (no emoticon to express that on here).

So when you meet a virgin you're not compatible with, you will stay with her because no one has been there before. And you wonder why people are unfaithful after they get married.

This is not to say that some men or women who are happy can and will not be unfaithful

But if you are together only because she is pure and you have nothing in common, you will be another statistic!
Romance › Re: Is He Cheating? Please People Help Me O Abeg: by proo212(m): 1:30am On Aug 01, 2008
Maybe the guy knows he'll get an ear full when he tells her the "truth" so he'd rather save himself the aggro and disappear. Only he knows why he's doing that.

But then maybe he's playing away. Like others said, just make sure you have your evidence before jumping to conclusions
Romance › Re: Emotional Cheating? by proo212(m): 1:40am On Jul 31, 2008
I would rather she was physical and it was a one of thing than being emotional. You have body beside you but emotions and her being is with someone else. In that case you have nothing,

Because she will have sex with you (if she gets round to it) and you will know she is doing you a favour by being there physically. Alternatively she shuts it off. I know what I prefer!
Romance › Re: As A Lady Can You Walk Up To A Guy And Ask Him Out ? by proo212(m): 11:48pm On Jul 29, 2008

Not intentionally but watever. im just saying that it is hard as a lady to up to some rather guy and spit game on him like yal do to women.
Perhaps you can feel what the menfolk have been going through since time began. It doesn't help that some ladies see this as an avenue to insult the men that had the guts to approach them. Obviously these are the men they don't like.

If no man approached, imagine what would be  huh

For a select few, this is fun, (the chase, no big deal) but for the average joeschmo, this is a lot of work. Let the average joeschmo tell you how many times he's been rejected by females and you'll be very surprised. But he has to keep on because if he deosn't he will never get a girlfriend if someone like yourself will never see the need to go for what she likes. (No offence intended by the last statement.)

Romance › Re: Made Up Or Natural? by proo212(m): 5:10pm On Jul 28, 2008
@poster, people have a preference for what they like. Some ladies turn out good all made up and some look excellent all natural. While some ladies might not know what looks good on them, i bet you some man will be going all gaga for them.

Everyone has one and it's called preference.
