Romance › Re: Silly Things We Have Done For Love! Confession Time by proo212(m): 3:14pm On Jun 25, 2008
Let me think.

Flew to Phily from Germany for the weekend just to see her
Flew to Naija just to see her when I thought we had a slight chance of getting back together. We had been apart for a year. (We got back together sha)
Learned to swim ( I hated water, she liked to swim just to see a smile on her face)

All for the same person though.

But i'll do it again if I can be less jaded grin

As usual with women,

A man cheats     = Man's fault
A woman cheats = Man's fault

They would never accept responsibility for their actions. Always the victim, always someone elses fault  grin

Autos › Re: Looking For A Good Way To Buy Cars From Europe by proo212(m): 1:33pm On Jun 20, 2008
Well I live in Germany and the exchange rates don't help. But it is cheaper to ship from Europe. There also some dealers who source their cars from the US and you have to go to the ports to have a good look.

The only real deals would probably be private sellers who need the money quickly. You just have to be there at the right time.
Car Talk › Re: How Important Is Car Mileage To You? by proo212(m): 1:28pm On Jun 20, 2008
Well my CLK is running at 114000km at the moment and I bought it at 39000km almost new 5 years ago. Always serviced at Mercedes garage. Only sundry parts like brakes and tyres do i repair at approved garages. I could also do the service at approved garages but I just want the Mercedes stamp on my log book.

Covered 75000km in 5 years but in the last couple of years of working from home, I probably cover about 6000km a year or less driving into town on a night out. Most times the car stays in the garage (high fuel prices don't help as well)

I drive to London minimum of once a year, at least i get to put some mileage on it at that time. (2000-3000kms depending on my runnings in the UK)

I think if I'm buying a diesel, I wouldn't so much worry about mileage per se.

@FotoDaddy,

These taxis have seat coverings to protect the original material or leather but still a sagging seat is a sagging seat.  grin

Romance › Re: Are Men More Likely To Put Up With Nonsense From Pretty Girls? by proo212(m): 8:22pm On Jun 18, 2008
I concur with debosky.

Girls, you have to understand one thing. Just like some women are intimidated by extremely handsome men, some men are intimidated by extremely pretty girls.

Some men never see these women as human beings and continue to put them on a pedestal and some men will not take their crap.

I fall into the second category. I admit, when I was younger I put women on a pedestal (nice guy) but I learned slowly and surely.

You can say the men are fronting, fair enough. We're all hiding behind keyboards here.

But for every pretty woman out there, there is a man who is tired of her crap.

Romance › Re: The Practice Of 'Hit And Run' by proo212(m): 3:04pm On Jun 18, 2008
Good observation and it usually happens late in life. You want to feel good about yourself saying these players get what they deserve.

Whatever time it happens, the players move on and accept it. They probably think it's Karma. They don't whine and play victim and bash women like some of you guys do.
Romance › Re: The Practice Of 'Hit And Run' by proo212(m): 10:24am On Jun 18, 2008
Sadly that is the way it is sometimes.
Autos › Re: Thinking Of Getting A Bike? Some Info For You: (WARNING: VIVID IMAGES) by proo212(m): 9:42am On Jun 18, 2008
I will suggest that if one wants to get a bike or learn to ride, do it when you are older. I learnt to ride 5 years ago and it's a great feeling on the open road. Yes there is no protection if you are hit by metal. (Metal and bones do not mix), you will always come out worse off.

If you learnt biking as an older person, you are 1 million times more careful. You cannot tell how other road users are going to behave. Thank God, so far so good, never had an accident. I only dropped it when i was parking it.

You are more aware of your mortality as an older rider.
Romance › Re: The Practice Of 'Hit And Run' by proo212(m): 9:23am On Jun 18, 2008
Redhotchic,

For a true player, it's a number game. A proper player will never spend more than what is necessary on a woman. They usually have more than one woman on the go at the same time and at some point one or two will be servicing him. If you're getting what you want from other people, you don't act desperate and women can see this. It's easier to get women when you have a woman already. Just like a job. You ooze confidence. If you have a great personality as well, bingo. You will not be seeking out these women, they will be seeking you out.

Because these guys are so smooth, it's second nature to them. Some of these women know they are being played but they talk about it feeling so right they thought they could change him. He will only change when he meets someone he falls for. In some cases, this person turns out to be a female version of him and he's wondering what hit him.

Romance › Re: Why Do Guys Prefer To Stay Long Before Marriage Nowadays? by proo212(m): 2:33am On Jun 18, 2008
You obviously did not get my sentence that highlighted in bold. You seem to think it's because men want variety that is why they are not getting married. That is not true, that is why i put an angry face on it.

Get another TV. The ones that spite you will get tired. Watch desperate housewives with her and make her watch footie with you. Finish!
Commitment is very very hard. Even in normal relationships - it makes you want to give up the guy/girl half the time.
If men were not so sexually-aggressive, women would not be able to use sexual blackmail.
If the men stopped having sex with women for days - wait and see what will happen. She'll never sexually blackmail you again.
Men just need to 'man up' and rise to the occasion when the right woman comes along.
I laugh at this statement. Of course, women know men love sex so they use this as a bargaining tool or as punishment. Some women have low sex drives and if you don't touch them they are quite happy for that to happen (no win situation for the men). If a women is not having sex with her husband, somebody else is waiting for the opportunity. Fact

With such an attitude towards men, i am not surprised you're very edgy. Looks to me no man can do right in your eyes. The man will have to pass so many tests to actually deserve an opportunity to be with you. By the time you decide he's a decent man, he switched off and ready to move on to someone else. A lot men realise that there are a lot of single women out there and we will take our time (not necessarily sampling them) to see who is good for us and vice versa
Romance › Re: Why Do Guys Prefer To Stay Long Before Marriage Nowadays? by proo212(m): 2:05am On Jun 18, 2008
No, men are waiting to marry not because they want to explore all the variety. Men are waiting longer because more people are aware that one can be extremely unhappy when you end up with the wrong partner.

Our fathers went and did their thing totally neglecting our mothers. In our generation, we are a lot more sensitive to our surroundings. How many people grew up in polygamous homes are practising the same thing? Nobody is perfect but you want to make sure that at least you end up with someone you like and love.

What is the rate of divorce. In the West (1 in 2) very costly especially for the man. In Nigeria, it is way less but I can bet you tons of couples are existing because it will bring shame on the family. Very costly for the women.

Some have not married because of finances. All different reasons but as usual, it is because men want sexual variety  angry
