That was Phase one trail of Joint effort vaccine being developed by five countries Australia, Britain, Germany, India, Canada in Oxford Lab.
Serum Research Institute India was participating from India (This Indian company is the largest manufacturers of various vaccine and they hold the Patent for Prion PRNP Protein Cellular synthesis Technology ). They have passed two phases of test, One on Monkeys and one on Human (Few tests are pending.

They are so confident they want to go ahead for one batch of 200000 vaccines, If they get certification for vaccine in September after 3rd trail then they will provide that first batch to safeguard Front line Health workers in India withing one day, (Thus saving hundreds of lives, They are not looking for money, Thus a philanthropic ideology i would say).

Also there are five more Pharmaceutical companies (Cadila, Bharat Biotech) in India also going ahead with their own Phase 1 and 2 Trails , Out of these five 3 will get government Funding. They have assured Indian public of very high possibility of vaccine by max Jan 2021, while another November this year, we can just hope that they will be successful so once they roll that in India withing weeks it will be here too.

I studied Electronics and Communication Engineering in India back in 2004, After Completing Engineering, My university tried so hard (Too many NOCs)and i was lucky to go for apprentice in HAL, at that time they were manufacturing Sukhoi 30 MKIs, That was my best time.
In total i visited India 6 times and i stayed in India for total 8 years,

Here is my comment

Engineering, Medical Sciences, Management and IT, No better place then India, But remember they have 4 Level of Universities. Level A Forget about them There is so much Competition for A that its impossible, If your grades are excellent and if you are lucky you will get Level B, Level C you can get somehow via agents, i would not suggest to go for Level C-, but if you are being sponsored then you can get C- (Even this is better then what we can get in this continent).

There are 3 types of cities and 2 Types of Towns in India, If you are in any of Tier 1(Mega cities) or Tier 2 City you will not be discriminated as people there are open minded and lives along side with Thousands of Expects. And Lifestyle is superb, Phones, Computers, Clothing are so cheap and too many options. You will find hundreds of Africans daily in Subway Metro Trains.
In Tier 3 cities you may be stared at some places (Some people have not seen a Black Person so they will be curious). And some may even come to ask what happened to my hair , lol. But once you have conversation they are very friendly and helpful.

If you want to live outside University Hostel (I would not suggest for atleast first one semester), You should get a partner from any Country except Nigeria,Sudan and Mali. Your Broker/agent will refuse you to serve because Owner of Apartments states this term. (As under Anti Narco act authorities have right to sieges the Apartment for 12 months, so owners usually dont take chance) That is why Accommodation can be slightly expensive for some nationalities.

In total i would suggest, Grab the chance and go. Education system is superb, That same Indian Education system is Churning out CEOs of Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Pepsico, SUN , RedHat,Bose Electrical so dont miss any chance, dont listen to the keyboard warriors.
And God forbid If some medical emergency occurs just be relax you are at best place, Healthcare system, there is so affordable and Quality we can even dream that here, Just get a cheap insurance over there and you are secured for period. I am missing that Lifestyle.

I am telling you honestly that Image of Nigeria is so much tarnished by Scammers and Drug Dealers that you will just cry, Every another day you will find news about Nigerian scam, drugs and Nigerian Girl prostitution. Now the situation is this if even they catch someone from Senegal people see them as Nigerian. You luggage can be Extra checked by Anti Narcotics Agents at Arrival. You have to initiate conversation with Indian people (Remember even they dont speak same language among themselves, so even they are foreigner to each other). Once you settle and make friends , You will never want to return back.

And yes, one last thing, Dont assume you can work part times, cause they hire permanent and your university will also not allow that.

Human trial of vaccines are based on volunteering. At the last count, there have been up to 5 different vaccines on coro that have started human trial all over the world and guess what? the humans are not Africans. Nobody will ever force anyone to take a trial vaccine, people volunteer for it anywhere in the world. In fact, a US drug maker, some weeks ago got about 1500 volunteers for human trial under 24 hours of announcing a vaccine trial in the US.
The human trial for a vaccine in the UK was given to volunteers in the UK.

Vaccines are tested where the problem exists and that is why they are not coming to Africa to test coro vaccines because coro is everywhere. You cannot test vaccines where they problem does not exist otherwise how would you know it works?. If the problem was localized in Africa, the only place to test the vaccine would have been Africa. For example, as at the time ebola was happening in some countries in Africa, how would a vaccine developer test a vaccine in Europe where there is no ebola? If Africans start developing their own vaccines, there would not be any need for the white man to come test their vaccines in Africa because we will do the trials on ourselves with our own drugs.

When we migrated abroad, the school board checked the vaccine record for our children and told us to get our children to get 2 additional vaccines. These new vaccines they told us to get was not given to children in Nigeria because the disease they were meant to protect against does not exist in Nigeria. Do you think they came to Africa to test this particular vaccine?

As per this news, India is not producing any new vaccine rather they are producing the same Oxford university vaccine that just passed the first trial on monkeys as reported yesterday. Any successful vaccine from any country in the world will likely need India to scale up the production because India has the world's highest drug production capacity in the world.

Putting it in context, they way foreign companies design a product and send to China to produce is the way drug makers will develop a vaccine and send to India to produce because India has the largest capacity in that regards more than any other country in the world. This is not to say that India does not develop their own vaccines like China develop their own products too.

Normally. vaccine production will start when the last clinical trial is passed but this Indian manufacturers partnering with oxford university vaccine developer has taken a bet and risk to start mass producing it gradually now pending when the final clinical trial and result will be available and certified.

So what it means is that if by September, this vaccine has been proven to work after all the clinical trials, they would have had some millions of dosses already produced and available immediately to begin giving people in September rather than starting the production by that time. If it fails final clinical trial, it will become a loss. They have just put their money on the line to start producing before a trial is concluded and we hope the gamble will pay off, it would be an advantage to the world

FDI exist in every country but that doesn't mean the country should be made a colony..for instance the Chinese own your transport now(sgr) with the wicked debt hanging on your neck like a gold chain on a bulldog...same is seen to be happening to Mombasa port....when you invest they are strict protocol that you must follow which are directives given by the govt...you don't go about controlling or interfering with the govt policies because you threw in a few dollar... investment doesn't translate to control and interference..what you have the Chinese doing there is not investment but neocolonialism....the Indians,brits are at the top of the wealth ladder whilst the laggard black roll in theuds like the dregs that they are....
