PoliticsRe: President Buhari And His Enemies by Rawani: 6:08am On Jun 07, 2015
At the end of the day, this is all just Anele's opinion of President Buhari, he stated earlier that he never wanted GMB to win so any attempts at rationalizing his claims are efforts expected from the defeated opposition. If he chooses to amplify PMB's weaknesses and others prefer to celebrate his strengths is that not the rational expectation of a venting opponent? For the author to preclude Buhari supporters from possessing the quality of being critical within eulogy speaks volumes of his limited scope of critical analysis of the issue he elected to vent about.
PoliticsRe: Confusion In Aso Rock As Buhari Fails To Move In by Rawani: 2:01am On Jun 06, 2015
The President might have access to privileged information about the villa which require certain measures to be taken before he moves in. With the way Doyin Okupe was adamant, and swore that Buhari couldn't be President and was perpetually unelectable, the entire villa must be sterilized before it is occupied. The President should however quicken his movement into the villa to address the inconveniences faced by the members of staff.

It's not about the size of the boat, but the motion in the ocean.

FLYFIRE:
You are talking as if you were too small to know what happened under obasanjo's years as president & petroleum minister. And by the way, its only your type who does not discern that the lock down was just a sabotage to further paint GEJ bad & then release it when apc comes on board to make them look performing. Positive development indeed.
Obasanjo was a corrupt and greedy administrator; Buhari is a honest & experienced Former Petroleum Minister, Former Petroleum Trust Fund Chairman, and former Head of State.

Go figure.
PoliticsRe: FG, Fuel Marketers Agree To End Fuel Scarcity Next Week. by Rawani: 7:14pm On Jun 05, 2015
Great news. With PMB heading the petroleum ministry, more of these positive developments are sure to come.

It amazes me that despite what these Hausa folks own, they rarely make noise....but if na one guy wey just open a spare part shop in abeokuta, he would make us believe he owns abeokuta....too much noise
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Still Retains OPEC Presidency – NNPC by Rawani: 9:01pm On Jun 04, 2015
So by implication that means President Buhari doubles as President of OPEC, if he keeps the petroleum portfolio.

There's actually a sociological explanantion to this difference in behaviour across cultures, we are on two extremes of the power distance dimension. You will find that the Chinese who are closer to us on the dimension, also have these manifestations of inequality.

Lol you TANoids need to enrol for extra moral classes, no wonder watches are your new craze. He gave that statistic to buttress his point that they were doing excellently well in education. The government has no business running schools! That statistic reflects a healthy educational sector with many private participants which breeds competition and keeps raising the bar. Fashola and Kwankwaso are the most deserving of that award QED.

By the way, your answer is Excellent.
PoliticsRe: Fashola And Kwankwaso Honoured By Babcock University (Photos) by Rawani:
Without sounding dramatic, this is the first deservedly given honorary award that I have seen in my entire life.
Kudos Fashola/Kwankwaso. The Eko Atlantic Project, Beautification Projects, BRT, Lekki Bridge, Olusegun Obasanjo Bridge, North-West University, Ado Bayero Mall, Scholarship Schemes etc. are impressive teasers of their accomplishments in their respective states.

PoliticsRe: President Buhari To Probe Amnesty International Report On Torture by Rawani: 1:07pm On Jun 04, 2015
atlwireles:
Any attempt to investigate the army for killing boko haram fighters and supporters will result in a full scale demoralisation of the army. I hope 2013, will not repeat itself. You need your army more than ever before. Nobody will risk their lives, just to end up in a court martial.
You mean the same soldiers that were firing at their senior commanders out of frustration last year? It doesn't get much more demoralizing than that. Methinks it will instill the much-needed discipline instead.

Several questions need to be answered by the service chiefs. Even in dealing with blood sucking terrorists, the rules of engagement must be observed, this is a new dispensation and Nigerians must learn to be objective and eschew sentiments in dealing with right and wrong.

Kudos to my dear President for his prompt response to this issue amidst competing priorities.
PoliticsRe: Tompolo Denies Receiving N1.5bn Monthly by Rawani:
Good. Now let Ramalan defend his claim so we can get the juicy details. Hopefully the truth about Tompolo's warships purchased under questionable circumstances will slip out in their back and forth.

P.S- Going by the report, Tompolo is not claiming that Global West does not receive N1.5 billion monthly, but that he is not a member of the board of directors of the company (his only defence) That claim, and any cover-up's including his front-men in the company must now be investigated.

torkaka:
He added that he is not on the board of Global West. “Ramalan’s contraption of any sum being paid to me is therefore rubbish, malicious, unsubstantiated and display of ignorance.

oga dnt mind people that dont pay their bills. I live at clifford road, aba south local gov area and there is good power supply. Pls that documentary is an old one maybe, when we where still under phcn. Since eedc came to stay things have changed. Recently every two to three house have a mini transformer and the project area covered is 90%. So pls that documentary is a farce!
You want me to believe your claims based on assumptions and 'maybe's, and ignore a Channels news investigation aired last night? And you want me to believe people that complain of running generators all day cannot afford their bills? It wasn't a 'false' documentary, it was a news piece.

Thats my amiable President. To think that he was painted as a stoic, stern-faced, mean-spirited dictator all in a bid to tarnish his character, especially by the children of regret and lamentation on this forum is a testament to the saying that nothing under the sun is hidden forever.
PoliticsRe: Why Do South East Have Regular Power Supply Than Other Zones? by Rawani: 10:57pm On Jun 03, 2015
Quite ironic. As I was opening this thread, Channels started a report about the lack of power in Aba on its community report segment of the news, and featured several artisans complaining bitterly about the effects on their business, it's on right now. Check the time in my screenshot. I'll try to upload the video.

omenka:
Now, when you try to juxtapose that with what obtains in the "opposition" we have on the forum today, you would see why some of these monikers that were very much active in the recent past have chosen to severely cut back on their activity on the forum. How does one respond to threads such as:

Is Buhari a Sunni or Shia Muslim?

Buhari is from the same Muslim sect as ISIS.

Buhari and vice visit two different muslim countries at the same time puting Nigeria in limbo.

Aisha Buhari's wrist watch cost 10million.

Buhari's cows are malnurished, is that how he intends to make Nigeria become?

Buhari not properly received by David Cameron in London.

Why is Buhari constantly running to the UK? Is he going to stash away stolen funds?

Why hasn't Buhari visited victims of Maiduguri Blast and Anambra tanker explosion?

Buhari's I am for everybody and for nobody statement was plagiarised.

Buhari's daughter chases out customers from a shopping mall so she could shop alone.
To put it lightly, the quality of this opposition is simply depressing, I guess that's what happens when naijapals members discover NL.

That is a mature talk from a SS man. Unlike the North and SW that their own have been kill them. Some of us don't believe that Buhari has the brain to do the work. But he can disappoint us by doing well. He needs to learn from GEJ who was a pan Nigerian always.
Did you see the statement he made just a few months ago about the same President Buhari? His anti-north statements? The man's lacks integrity.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Is Capable Of Leading Nigeria - Edwin Clark by Rawani: 5:57pm On Jun 03, 2015
omenka:
I hope those that keep fanning the embers of hatred, intolerance and war are reading this. Nigeria is bigger than them.
They are too consumed by hatred and bigotry to be objective enough to see that these 'leaders' are just selfish hacks that preach hatred and division for the sole aim of enriching themselves. Imagine how Clark is shamelessly sucking his vomit with relish, yet some people fail to realize that bad leadership and not marginalization is the primary cause of the poor state of the regions preaching division.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Is Capable Of Leading Nigeria - Edwin Clark by Rawani:
This is interesting. I hope all the children of pain, anger and frustration will heed this call to support President Buhari instead of wasting productive time scanning the President's wife's body in the name of opposition. Meanwhile, someone is desperately looking for relevance in Buhari's government.

This is the same Edwin Clark, the ‘great leader’ and elder of the Ijaw nation and the political and spiritual father of former President Jonathan just 4 months ago in Akwa-Ibom State;

“It’s clear that apart from clinging to sectional, ethnic and religious sentiments, the APC presidential candidate has no idea of running a democratic state. Mohammadu Buhari is a personality drenched in controversy because of his sordid dark past; Nigeria is ahead of his puerile and barren ideology, which remains stagnant. The APC political marriage is about accomplishing selfish, personal desire rather than the wellbeing of Nigerians,”

http://www.naij.com/375502-edwin-clark-says-buhari-cant-rule-a-democratic-state.html

laidian:
Clark said, “I have congratulated President Buhari and today, he
is our President. He’s not the President of a section of the
country.
This is rich coming from Clark of all people.

For Rawani and others who were praising, adoring and idolising Tambuwal for "dealing with a driver" as a sign of leadership, let me share with you excerpt of John Boehner's legislative Bills. He is the current Speaker of the US House of Reps.

Meanwhile Tambuwal receives many times more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for doing absolutely NOTHING compared to Speaker Boehner!

Does anyone wonder why we BLACK people continue to be slaves and scumbags of the earth to our EQUALLY endowed fellow homo sapiens with pale skin huh

When shall we stop being mentally LAZY?
When?
You have lost the plot, you are not making sense any longer. Let us imagine for analogy's sake that he did not sponsor a single bill, are you then suggesting that his act of personally correcting and admonishing a citizen of the state he leads is not good leadership? Don't answer.

What is the PRIMARY function of Lawmaker Tambuwal?
How did he perform in his core function?
Again, how many bills did he sponsor into law as a representaTHIEF?

Can you answer or you have NOTHING on that? grin grin
He was a leader of the house. Tambuwal captures the successes of the 7th National Assembly poignantly in his recent presentation: “For the first Legislative Year of the 7th National Assembly alone a total of 440 Bills have been introduced (171 Senate and 269 House of Representatives). Of these 114 Bills have passed through the Second Reading (26 Senate and 88 House of Representatives) while 41 Bills have been passed (21 Senate and 20 House of Representatives). “On the area of oversight which is the second function of the Legislature, routine performance evaluation of the other arms of government by the Committees of the Legislature has assisted in guiding projects and programmes execution. ” You need to understand the roles and structure of the National Assembly.
