And what makes them think it was the pudding that killed them. It could be the soup that was served with it.... or the water they drank... or the utensils. They had a meal and died after the fact. The autopsy will reveal the smoking gun. |
IamDietiesGod:It is not 'playing' politics. This is serious business. Serious deal making. It is the responsibility of a union to seek the best for it's members and if a certain government cannot deliver it can and should dialogue with any political party that will. That is how democracy works. This is not feudalism that the word of the king is law. Those in government are not kings and princes and the unions and workers slaves. Those in authority were put there, were voted in to perform. If they cannot deliver they open the door for others. It is the people who own the democracy not any political party or group of leaders. So discard any unwanted blackmail. The people are now waking up to the power of their franchises. Nigeria will be better for it. |
successmatters:This is the best you get out of hoping on people. To get precisely what you want from democracy the first thing to do is to elect leaders you can control... then direct them towards what you expect. But to elect people and hope they perform is not democracy. Hope is not a strategy. |
christm386:Like you have not heard about GP Harold Shipman who murdered over 250 before he was caught. Evil has no profile.... colour, race, religion or sex. |
Even 'oyibos' are 'singing in the rain'.... all because of the 'Devil's Doo-doo' aka crude oil. |
.... this is... just one kind. Just don't know what to say.... sad.... really sad. You will expect that the largest black nation in the world deserves better. When will we get leaders that do not have issues, I mean two, three, four quality candidates going head to head to produce excellent electoral choices. Why always Hobson's Choice... election after election. Is this what we are going to be doing for four.... eight years in our present, sorry state as a country ![]() |
Manuel69:To be a motorbike outrider in the CEO's convoy ![]() And what do you call slot?... a job or a vacancy just to occupy space...? |
Advancedman:And why should this be. What is wrong with you folks. What is happening in this country for heavens sake. These people consume almost the entire budget and 100 percent of revenue presently and it doesn't occur to anyone that the over-bloated civil service is running this country aground. |
gasparpisciotta:Little wonder the civil service doesn't work. Just an agency of settlement. In which serious nation outside Nigeria does this happen. Insure your personnel, pay hazard allowances, contribute towards the family of the deceased. And that is enough. The service should be filled with people competent to do their jobs and urgently required for specific, pressing assignments and tasks. This is just third world thinking. |
Tonyreal49:If a panic is triggered the best place to move is to the centre of the structure or facility, never the exits or gates as they are proportionally small even in the best designed public areas. The only exceptions to this is in the event of a fire or a terrorist attack. |
I won't put it past bad officiating. Injustice always comes with a hefty price tag. |
arantess:Abi oh. That is how Ethiopia Airlines rushed into acquiring the Boeing 737 Max with disastrous consequences. And the end of the story read that, their pilots could not interpret the reactions of the plane to the flying conditions encountered while their American counterparts coped well. Let others more endowed pace set with new tech, new equipment. And for a rookie country in aviation this internship should take a long, long time. |
....Guinea Pig Republic of Nigeria..... where lives indeed do matter. Instead of waiting for the rest of the world that is more experienced in aviation matters to give the green light. |
Fred166:In the next world you may consider elevating your choice of partner. Harsh but the fact. |
Said it that day. That is was a thoughtless comment with far reaching fallout. Set him back politically. |
And on another post someone is blaming as usual colonial rule for the black man's troubles. Did the PDP phone Clarence House for approval to give out a whooping 122 million as 'allowances' in an insolvent economy. Our problems are domiciled in us and are bound to continue and escalate while we play the ostrich. And you can imagine some 'sick' citizens defending this nonsense. |
Kollabo419:Eh, naso. Na only Africa Britain colonise. Is India not doing well, how about Singapore and even HongKong just let go as recently as 1997. The black man must always look sideways when responsibility is mentioned. Look at South Africa gradually returning to the 'black man default settings'. Haven't added a single megawatt since Mandela died and power failure is their new normal. |
robinso01:Not all of us. Some of us can't understand the rumpus when it is clear nothing has been learnt. Wise minds are bracing for impact and factoring the inevitable error into their future decisions. Better do sound risk assessment. |
Laggafin:Just want to talk. Can't you see the sagging jowls. Minting is difficult. |
Can the black man ever govern himself successfully. Can the black man evolve viable societies. Singapore got her independence in 1963. Much of Africa got theirs before that. The same Britain and France that colonised Africa colonised much of Asia. What is our problem here. |
And the corruption continues.... nothing has changed with the PDP. And if they win, nothing will change in Nigeria. |
omonla10:When government comes against you with the law, you go against them for pushing you to disobey the law. You don't take the law into your hands. Fight the government not the law. That is how sane societies work. But because of feudalism in these parts the citizens fear their leaders more than the law and yet they expect their leaders to fear the law and govern well. |
Jostoman:So if he is sentenced to jail what concerns him with livelihood. Will he not be housed and fed at taxpayers expense. Can he be driving his bus in jail. His bus is the object of a crime, a weapon of manslaughter and has to be denied him. If your house is used for kidnapping it will be seized, if your dog attacks someone it will be put down, if your car kills why shouldn't it be taken. And if you are caught in the act of manslaughter by driving against traffic then the government reserves the right to confiscate your vehicle and auction it to ensure you never use it for such crimes in the future, period. Cars don't kill, people do. That is why you must be separated from your car when you attempt to kill and the car sold off not destroyed. |
Here they come again. Band-aid on cancer. Nigerians truly deserve the leaders they get. A people cannot experience better than they are competent to understand. Nigeria is gripped by the kind of run away inflation citizens of other nations are seriously concerned about. Here the people don't care and the government is comfortable in that fact. They take your livelihoods and give you reliefs to seek your permission to continue after the fact. Such a sorry people. |
Hmmm.... doesn't look in good shape.... at all. Wish him the best. |
Mr. Peter Obi has a lot of work to do to succeed. He needs an experienced team of advisors to coach and shepherd him through this electoral expedition that can easily and quickly become a political minefield with very damning consequences if he says or does things that can be misconstrued or manipulated for propaganda. If he cannot do this quickly then I advise him to steer clear of any stone that has an ethno-religious indication. He is coming from a politically disadvantaged background where serious suspicions remain, sentiments that are hardy and cannot easily be washed away by the misgovernance presently witnessed in Nigeria or the attendant hardship brought upon the citizens of this country. We can see how this seemingly wise and innocuous position has been quickly spun and tossed into the mudpit of ethno-religious tensions. |
valentineuwakwe:Indeed. Serena, Federer..... CR7?? Did you see him against Spain..... shocking. |
ednut1:Are these the same.... did he do an ear job as well. |
ebenezer95:That is what they are saying. That a death without a health related cause at her age is death by 'old age'. |
oluwaseyi0:But her father was not to be king. He had to assume the throne when his brother abdicated to live his life as he pleased. In order to prevent a constitutional crises her father became king. So what they 'enjoy' today they had by default. And this is a lot better than times of antiquity when kingship was at the tip of the sword and the throne was only obtainable by war and conquest. |
SenecaTheYonger:Indeed as concerning the things we consider hard such as the basics of life. But remember as a child she witnessed the second world war. Something that most will never experience. |
