That's the CHANGE we all want... grin grin grin

Even with the so called corruption, have you asked yourself how we were able to buy petrol at #64-97 naira under PDP, while barrel is being sold at $80-100 USD?

Because under the administration of no corruption, any increase in crude oil barrel price automatically leads to increase in pump price, even though they are still paying subsidy. grin cheesy cheesy

The sad part is we keep acting like this isn't affecting all of us. Most people income are not increasing and inflation is on the rise.

This administration is one lucky administration as they keep on getting away with the pain they are instilling on Nigerians.
Lucky of you admit that the bottom feeders, the peons are too traumatized to offer any resistance while the so called, non existent middle class is too ashamed to admit their intellectual shortcomings in installing this government of hot air, smoke and mirrors.

He should've been put to sleep first so he doesn't burst a high pressure artery.

These guys looks like hunters going for game in a large forest (igbo nla) . For goodness's sake this is the peak of hunting season and the old oyo national park is a very good for hunting . Theres so much misinformation these days that it takes wisdom not to fall for misinformation. If after investigation they were found to be innocent hunters going to hunt and are released the narrative will be that they are favoured.....thats how they always tag everyone in a trailer following his goods down south as almajiri .one thing for sure truth will always prevail.
Hunting at a time of the greatest security challenge the nation has faved since the civil war. Bearing arms to a region and location under siege. Whoever dreamt that idea must be Einstein indeed.

The churches should go set up new schools and parents who are uncomfortable should withdraw their wards. That is what Christ would do. That is what the biblical Isaac did.

But once again I say. This is what you get when the church is under resourced and lacks the acumen to hold its own in society. So for those who criticise 'tithes and offerings' as means and ways to empower the church and promote its programs, here you are.

babythug:
Divorce is an unfortunate situation to be in. Nonetheless it’s not the end of the world . Both himself and his former wife are to blame . He should brace up and try the following:

1. Dust himself and be ready to start over .
2. Face his career or job
3. Determine to be at peace with his ex no matter the level of provocation or otherwise
4. Be the best father he can be to his children given the circumstances. Pay whatever bills as deemed necessary and pay extra where possible
5. He should document any payment made
6. He must not bring the kids into the divorce by relaying what their mum has done or not done to them
7.
We are talking about the man's interests here so what is this epistle about protecting the woman. The kids should know what is happening so they have an independent view.

It will be naive of the man to think the woman is not busy filling their heads with crap such that when they are 'older' as many allude here, thy will seek him. A partner who will not want the truth to emerge will do everything to destroy the other.

There are several ways to make contact under the table He should go to their school and meet with his kids friends and set up cyber linkages.

Must every divorce be projected as the man's fault. It is fair and humane for him to see his kids even if he is a serial killer.

It is absolutely ridiculous for the unit involved to be investigating itself.

I am not a government propagandist...I am more of a 'Nigeria has to diversify away from oil' propagandist.
I understand and apologize for using such wording but this issue is serious and has been recurring over the years leading to the whole scale destruction of the standard of living of the typical Nigerian. No one expects the government to helicopter excess cash onto Nigerians, I do not expect or desire subsidies (I am a strong anti subsidy advocate, not just on energy but on the naira and other sources of waste) but I expect clear accountability and advocacy by the citizens on what or how excess income is deployed and the welfare of the citizens should be a top priority.
Business › Re: Oil Price Hits $71.28 On OPEC's Decision by Reference(m): 8:35am On Mar 08, 2021
Godarz:
No excuses for failure...but the fact is, when oil prices started falling down during GEJ's regime, Nigeria had to start taking loans to keep our nehad above water.

When the fall continued during Bubu's time, the loan taking continued.

Now that oil has gone up....the loans must be paid first.

As put by this article...Managing the dutch disease in Nigeria from 2004...

Thus, there is a critique of why GEJ and Buhari are both bad....they DID not diversify us from oil. Buhari in partiuclar had a lot of cheap tools he could have used eg removing suibsides, and ending insecurity, and widening the tax base....which so far he hasn't used. Instead...it has been go back to agric...like it is the 1960's when the UK was our guaranteed market.
Can you furnish us peons what a typical loan was that we ALL have to pay for now that will make us not SEE any benefit of oil price rises.
My daddy lost his job and we were eating once a day and am off school. Now he has gained another job (perhaps not as good as the first) and he tells me that I will still be off school and still manage breakfast only. Telling me he has debts to pay. He should explain what he took the loans for.
Business › Re: Oil Price Hits $71.28 On OPEC's Decision by Reference(m): 8:32am On Mar 08, 2021
Godarz:
Won't benefit us

1.We still have to pay off the debts incurred when oil prices were lower than $50 and below....

2.Also, the oil price isn't up to our break even price...the price at which we can earn enough to maintain a balanced budget. For Nigeria it is $133 dollars.

3.That's why your government has to diversify, and also save money by ending payment of subsides and such
Excuses have started from government apologists to pound our minds into expecting nothing while they 'steal the silver'. Same ol, same ol propaganda. We all suffer and sacrifice but when benefits come they tell us another thing. Did we jointly agree to these loans, no. Have these bogus loans directly benefited us, no.

Why complain about what he gives. Did he promise anything better before you all lined up to vote him in....

This is the dividend of sentimental electioneering. While citizens of other nations extract solid, tangible, published and verifiable commitments before empowering their political representatives, here they just whip up sectional or ethno-religious confetti and the peons will be dancing to the polls.

Abeg, shut it, sit tight and learn the hard way by suffering as an African.

Pep still has questions to answer at the very highest levels. His technical portfolio is without question the very best on the planet but his matchday tactical prowess remains uncertain.

Soccer remains a game of good skill, great techniques but the Italians will always tell you, also of clever tactical mastery. It is what ultimately wins trophies.

If City has a day like this in the Champions league run then the big eared trophy will continue to elude Pep and credit for his two successes will continue to lie with Messi and Co.

Ole has simply outfoxed Pep today.

Politics › Re: Supreme Court Settles Rivers APC Crisis, Rules In Favour Of Amechi's Camp by Reference(m): 6:22am On Mar 06, 2021
Though I do not like the tone of 'Amaechi Camp', thus ascribing the ownership of a political grouping to an individual thus setting the tone for 'godfatherism', it is important to Rivers state and its people that democracy thrives there and the APC plays its role as a viable opposition party and a government in waiting.

The hitherto constant bickering between various factions has not served the state ultimately and has given the ruling PDP a free ride and less than desirable dividends to the people.

Though this ruling will not end the squabbles and could even lead to defections, it is important that the judiciary has taken a stand to break the deadlock thus enabling one side to take root. Hopefully this will make the game of democracy more interesting and competitive in the near future.

My attraction to the post was an opportunity to see first hand what a cache of captured so called 'sophisticated weapons' our security agents frequently complain about. Alas, an assortment of GPMG, AK's and anRPG is what they complain about.

If these represent the general threats then I think today's security agents are miles behind what their predecessors faced. I think better recruitment, training and indoctrination is necessary to have an effective fighing and deterrent force.
