Fake news is becoming more powerful and frequent by the day. The way it's going, it appears everyone would at some point become a victim of it either directly or indirectly.

So if you rejoice when it doesn't affect you, get ready to cry because your own is already loading and coming to you soon.

God bless.
But you must admit that the fake will prosper where the original is attractive but expensive, desirable but out of reach.

So the solution is simple. Make truth your watchword always. Make access to real information easy.

When governments, the society and the people are not open, donot interact lavishly, hate to engage one another, but build walls along social lines, ethnic lines, religious lines and classes....

....when they refuse to engage one another to discuss their fears and aspirations as a peoples in finding solutions and alttain common values, then suspicion will always be rife and fake news wil thrive.

Man, we are living in a social swamp in Nigeria. Restructuring is the only way out. Nigeria is delaminating before our very eyes. Truth is becoming too expensive.

That is why we football fans (not club fanatics) just love the Prem, a true soap opera. The ups and down, twists and rollercoaster turns leaves your head spinning and simply cannot be matched in any league in the world and I venture in all world sports.

Every week there is something to win and lots to lose, something for pundits and punters to laugh and cry about...you just wish the NPFL could become like this one day...in a certain millennia to come.

Just imagine Klopp's Liverpool breaking every envious record just 6 months ago now making us scan historical records way back to the Great Depression...in every sense of the word.

But Nigerians say this man is their senate president. This is strange.
They put him there. Can they now see why it is desperately necessary to have a power balance in government between the Executive and Legislature so that when the Executive gets it wrong they can be held to account.

How does an athlete perform with two left legs or two right legs. Clearly the Executive has not handled this internal security crises properly but since the Legislature wears the same side of shoe, the nation stumbles from one crises to the other.

I sincerely hope Nigerians will never ever allow this unfortunate scenario play out again. There is a reason most nations have ditched the monarchial system for democracy. This is it.

Monarchies may be great, powerful and all conquering but when they fail they take the entire empire down with them. Nigeria is too big a nation to be tied to the sensibilities of just one man. And we should all resist the pressure to be comformed to the image and likenss of one section of the country.

The USA has a core Anglo-Saxon population. A group that stole the land from the indigenous population. This group wrote the constitution, owns most of the wealth and shaped the new stolen life based on the values and customs of the Anglo Saxons majority.

If you look at America critically, you will see that it's diversity is a recent phenomenon.
That is not absolutely true. America was founded by discrimination in Europe, fought for independence from Britain just like Nigeria and most African States and grew by waxing diversity first from all over Europe then from the rest of the world.

America is more diverse than Nigeria. If a Hausa man cannot see eye to eye with a fellow black igbo man, how do you expect an Irish American will have got along with an Italian American in 1920.

Nigerians today are enraged by the influx of foreigners across our borders with their sordid practices and thirst for violence. But that is exactly what happened in places like Newyork and other great cities when nations throughout the world casted out their dregs, their trashy citizens and they all found their way to the States..

Read the history very well. America was once worse than the Nigeria of today as regarding serious ethno-religious schisms even amongst the early so called 'whites.'

Too big for primary school students
With the security situation remaining as fluid as it is this might have to be the model for now. Bigger, well built and better defended educational infrastructure.

There should be no greater investment in the north east, nothing more important right now than the factors that have led to the greatest insecurity challenge of our time, the breakdown of the education system and the viciois cycle of poverty and depravity it has engendered.

Education forments hope, it breaks down barriers and places religion in proper perspective. It tools the individual towards solutions to all and every challenge and makes him/her a generator of virtue.

This is the best response to the extremist war that has threatened the state for years now.

I must commend the state government for investing so massively in educational infrastructure and I hope it will spur those who are willing to sacrifice all to ensure the kids up there get a better future. Good one.

Oga. Politicians the world over are salary earners not investment bankers. If you cannot reform your mind to the fact these people are servants not emperors, their assignments are not conqueted territories and the state resources are not war booty then there is slight hope to end the misery in the land.

If you continue to expect politicians to steal, believe me they will and this coubtry will gradually slip into a dysfunctional wilderness where everyone will be at risk of random violence as has started.

Remember, they will get the visas before you.

Grow the league to enable clubs prosper, they won't. Nothing good ever seems to take root in Nigeria. The NPFL was once on Supersports (where the bulk of sports fans are today) but they couldn't maintain that exposure and publicity that wil have attracted investment rather what we see today are the Zambian and Ethiopian leagues prospering.

Why should a Nigerian Premiership club not be able to fly their team cross country, feed and house them in decent digs. It is shameful for a country of this size, resources and so called exposure and competency concerning the only sport it loves. Big shame.

Mr Tinubu, God has given them already but since man has a soul (making him independently minded) man is responsible for empowering them except you expect God and His Angels to vote.

So if man sees God given leaders and chooses evil, what can God do. I personally think God is through with the affairs of man as concerning man. His laws are there to express His views about how man can succeed and live in peace.

God is more concerned these days (since Christ died on the Cross) about saving man from sin and creating a viable future for him beyond the grave. So donot call God in vain.

The only thing I personally note from the cacophony is the fact about the lack of consultation in the formation of Amotekun that was supposed to be a regional law enforcement agency.

This I had repeatedly emphasized about back then but it appeared the government was hellbent in proceeding without a framework and the citizens were hellbent on being irresponsible by not demanding for their say and the extensive debates that will found the objectives of Amotekun and make sure it serves purpose effectively.

I did warn that if it was a government ALONE driven process it will be made in the 'image and likeness' of the government/governor of the day and the fears of the greater Nigeria towards State control of security or the decentralization of security services will be well founded.

Today, more than a year later all the loopholes are evident and an organisation barely off the ground is in need of dire reconstruction and back to the drawing board.

What is it about the black man that makes it ultra hard for him to organise himself into viable societies. What is it about the Nigerian that makes him unable to sit down around a table to negotiate positive possibilities....

With all the tremors in the west these past few weeks this will have been a significant opportunity to role model regional security and advertise it to the rest of Nigeria as a viable alternative to the ineffectual central control, but alas....

Making sense or not when you speak by his authority you send a public message, to his people for reason...

...but the other side is listening as well. And talk like this emboldens them and reduces their liability. Two things that should not be done.

Cold war doctrine emphasizes mutually assured destruction that has kept the world safe. The principle involves determining a zero sum outcome folks including the Oba has got to learn. That no one wins from a conflict. If you blink you are gone basically.

By admitting you have more to lose you inadvertently tip the balance of power in favour of your assailant and negotiations whenever they arise will be much harder to achieve.

Frankly this mental misconception about the balance of power in Nigeria is the principal reason WHY NIGERIA HAS NOT BEEN RESTRUCTURED. Folks just capitulating OPENLY without thinking strategically. Feels like a sellout. No northerner will ever think like this talkless of openly pronouncing it.

It wouldn't affect faith academy. Government pays teachers of affected schools in kwara state while churches own the structures.
I think solution is for missions to take full control of their schools.
They are defacto public schools if tax payers money goes into them so the public through the government has a say the way they are run.

We have had this debate a while ago. Missionary model schools are no longer economically viable as independent entities. The cost of running them and subsidising fees is a big burden on the promoters.

I think the church had better face the realities and the Christian public particularly those quick to castigate the Pentecostal educational model, that they either pay sufficiently to fund these schools without government subsidy or raise funding from the churches themselves to run them so they can impose their own values.

So it is either tithes, higher fees or shared values. There is nothing else. When you lose economic power you lose liberty as well. So when Covenant University for instance projects its hard values it does so because both promoters and patrons are prepared to pay for their independence.

With all that is going on in Nigeria today does anyone remotely expect this case to be prevented or solved. The security services have themselves admitted being overstretched.

Ordinarily this case should be handled at community/county level if the structure was right because this is obviously not a crime across brders. It happened locally, the perpetuators will be known locally and the resources to uncover their identities will be domicilled locally.

But like so many, many cases the perps will slip through because the structure of the criminal justice system in Nigeria is just wrong. The family and wellwishers had better petition the IG all the way in Abujanto send their supercop to dig out the case or they may not get justice.
