Presidential Amnesty Program....hot PAP indeed.... perhaps with delicious prawn embedded moi-moi.. Not bad for a bright Saturday morning.. |
In a proper structure the Minister will have absolutely no power to do that. Restructure Nigeria now. Nigeria has nothing on me personally and I donot depend on the performance of goverment to live or prosper. Those that do and will not demand for a fundamental change in the way Nigeria exists and operates should prepare to suffer until they return to the earth. |
I partially agree. And if you are demanding for an end to SARS and not demanding to end the country Nigeria that created it and facilitates its misadventures then your head needs examination because they are both ridiculous thoughts, the products of a people that cannot organise themselves, a people that cannot solve problems and always run away from the challenges they cause for themselves. I am on the highway going south today and so far there is not a single policeman in sight. We all know the consequences for the masses.... what is my business. It is even good for me as there are hardly any gridlocks. |
Not news worthy. |
Awol1:Then cut out sentiment from your governance so you will develop and stop blaming those you go to of your own accord to beg for survival. There is no short cut. You either take the ignomy of a beggar or the pain of sacrifice. |
Tomorrow, when the scandal has died down they will tell you that you do not pay enough tax. |
A half decent opposition candidate will always perform better in a debate simply because the dynamics of democracy says so. Expectations are ever escalating and can never be fully met no matter how good the incumbent is. People simply get tired and seek greener pastures. The opposition only has to 'add on' ideas, philosophies, direction and impetus and he wins debates. The Reagan v Carter debate is perhaps the most famous of all time. The counter balance is that come the polls, the incumbent wields greater influence. Debates are however an important currency of exchange for mandates. The electorate should listen carefully, write notes and hold the leaders to account subsequently.... that is if they are not weakened by division, strife, ignorance and sentiment. |
miqos02:That misunderstanding in our circles is why Nigeria is the way it is. Everyone looking for all thing for nothing. Devilish philosophy. |
crossfm:Hope you are not referring to biblical 'grace' because there is nowhere in scripture where you get rewarded for doing nothing. That is not the nature of the labour leaning, fervent in business, service oriented God I know. |
The switch from liquid energy to gas will be a sharp, painful learning curve. The DPR is overwhelmed. Any jackass with a blow torch can fabricate installations and any slowpoke with a few quid can commission them without training and certification. Going forward there will be tears. |
A country that has not a single positive scientific invention or contribution to the world except spend billions and billions of dollars fixated with the United States mi!itary industrial complex for generations on end. Which kind of acursed country is that. |
One4me:South West/South East will not fly in present day Nigeria. It is even a more remote possibility than what I postulate. But just watch out what the structure of Nigeria will deliver come 2023. You will be so nauseated to the point of throwing up. That is why ultimately we say without the proper structural framework we cannot even begin to dream of a better country. |
With all the stories swirling around a potential Osibanjo presidency, indeed it can be a force for good in competitive multiparty politicking however, two very hard things must happen to make it potentially successful and beneficial to Nigeria. By our present geo-political structure he will require a vice from !the north who is an astute economist, and a highly competent one at that (obviously to chart a way out of this quasgmire). Two problems with this: There are very, very few naturally endowed economists of northern extraction, even fewer that have an iota of political popularity. As a matter oif fact I can only table one potential, the former Emir of Kano and ex-CBN guvnor. Unfortunately neither he nor Mr. Osibanjo are hardcore politicians so navigating the democratic terrain to achieving anything meaningful within term limits will be an ardous task for that tag team. Ideally you need a core politician as President to drive policy and a core technocrat as Vice to form them. The reason why we are economically sunk is because Mr. Osibanjo is bereft of how economies are pumped. So it is a massive catch 22 scenario as far as the APC's 2023 presidency run is concerned if Mr Veep is the candidate except some other scenario is considered. Anything short of an economist at the highest levels of office particularly a reformist and solid believer and advocate of ultra-tight fiscal policies will just be toying with Nigeria"s potential implosion. |
slivertongue:Then you are disobeying God. It is right to pray foir him if you live in Nigeria.... for your own sake. |
Bkayyy:Okay, I will be all eyes and cheering him on. |
Bkayyy:I meant in the national team. That was my subject matter. |
JidennaJason:Iwobi is no longer the player he used to be. |
1.8 million Euros (35,000 pw) after 9 years at the club. Haba Atletico. Dat one na modern day slavery for such a big club and a player you call 'important'. Your conscience should tell you he is a bird about to fly. |
dadavivo:That is her job and it is a legitimate occupation. The earlier we face the facts and act in order the better. |
What is he escaping from? Hope Kwara United did a background check on him. Fugitive things.. ?? |
flyingpig:And in 10 years Ebonyi can build a bigger and better mall or other social infrastructure. What is leased is a building, not an industry and certainly not an ideology. Nothing is over. The quest for investment has just begun. This is the what Nigerians fail to realise about the complaints surrounding the privatisation of power. Facilities and other infrastructure can be exclusive but not the industry as a whole. |
ehix89:He may be right. It is not necessarily about who can come into the team to help make it win trophies but who is a regular in the first eleven that is not 'title winning material' and they could be up to five, perhaps slightly more. Even you must accept that the squad is bloated with under achievers and still reeks of dead wood. |
BigBelleControl:Not sure about Partey IN THE PREMIERSHIP. What works in Spain does not necessarily work well in England but having said that I totally agree with the next statement. He has thrived under a tactical coach in Diego Simeone at Atletico which is a great sign that he can work well with Arteta who is also long on detail himself. Should be a good buy. |
ednut1:We talked and talked and talked. They said corruption was the problem and Mr. Buhari was the superman. We said structure and the lack of capacity could never bring Nigeria out of the steepcdive. They said no, shut up. Six years down thee line and this is all you can come up with....abeg make una go sit down. The horse of progress has long since bolted from Nigeria and has a six year headstart. How you are going to catch up will be the eighth wonder of the world. In a few years they will be looking for Nigeria"s two black boxes amidst the carnage. |
Pogba's stock has sunk to average levels. He needs something massive soon to attract a better club once United is through with him. |
Baawaa:What is the best way? |
See the problem. Refinery owners are already in 'association' aka cartel. Locked and stocked to exploit Nigerians from where goverment leaves off. The same thing afflicting the privatisation of the power sector is about to replay with energy. Lack of detailed performance criteria, lack of strong regulatory framework, lack of solid judicial oversight by goverment is tantamount to deriliction of duty. Just as they allow power companies do whatever they like, goverment is apparently already behind the curve of a more organised but insidious private sector. Once the citizens can get goverment off their backs they as a matter of urgency should turn their focus and ire on these so called 'associations' that in most cases are not forces for good when it comes to the creation of free market interplay. |
She is not helping matters. |
NkanAkpanika:So it is built not to be maintained or what....? It won't attract high level sporting events with an astro turf. Our national teams certainly will not be heading there. Hoteliers had better lead a protest to government. |
Smartini:It makes sense that when you have just one you maximise its potentials. Towns and cities with multiple facilities can afford dedicated arenas. If your first business is a bakery your first car should be a pickup or minivan not a coupe. That is common sense. |
Nice but why Astro Turf. Uyo has long rainy seasons, why can't they grow natural grass. All it takes is two full time staff for maintenance. You rent it out at a million naira per weekend and cover the cost of keeping the place in shape. |
perrezy:See the wahala...fight don start...over nothing... |
