You are heavily indebted and still giving money to "contractors'.... to do basic stuff for you is like a man who has lost his job and still employs drivers, cooks and cleaners round the house....

They think with a Gulf Arab mentality and expect to become a China. What a contradiction.

Strong words... deep truths...but once again like most other things Nigeria, it is a people's problem and not just that of leadership. Nigeria is the way it is because of Nigerians.

The north is the way it is because of the thought pattern and process of the average citizen of the north. While we can question leadership, we must realise that they receive support somewhere if not their ideas won't last.

I pity people that thinks Britain means well for Nigeria
Britain has always looked upon Nigeria as a competitor and somewhat of an uneasy ally. Together with India, Nigeria was its most important cash cow and to the empire a highly regrettable loss at independence. It percolates through all walks of life.

Don't mind them. Just the movement of decomposition gases within the body cavity that present in the heaving of the chest and whistling sounds through the orfices. The man in long dead. Education and enlightenment is worth more than silver and gold.

Politics › Re: PSC To Policemen: Return To Duty Posts Or Face Dismissal by Reference(m):
This is the true state of most of our hallowed institutions...on the brink and imploding. The police is symptomatic of a failed system itself in dire need of emergency restructuring.

Look Mr. PSC. The truth if you want to hear it is simple.

The police are not capable of doing their jobs in any other way than that which led to this crises in the first place.

The actions that led to the crises were born out of a 'culture' that first has to be changed before any single policeman can feel safe operating in public.

It is thus a pity that those of you in authority have done nothing to change that culture and effect the much needed reforms in that organisation which are much more deep seated than posting circulars, making pronouncements and shuffling the deck of blue and black cards.

Send them to the streets and be sure that within a matter of days the same problems will arise and the same retribution will be metted out. No sane policeman will be a part of this potentially vicious cycle of violence and retribution.

The police are children of the government and goverment should realise that the police is ill-equiped in multi-varied ways to handle its duties in the Nigeria of today to any acceptable standards of decency and fidelty and they should not be coerced into duties they know they are not capable of performing.

Resturcture Nigeria NOW !

I support Arsenal..
Am not an Arteta Fan..
Like I said, only someone be clouded by animosity cannot see the improvements Arsenal has undergone over the past 11 months..
A team that is always one comical back pass away from conceding clownish goals..
A team that is always one goal away from disaster..
A team that is always one LOSS away from season implosion? shocked
A team that has shipped 40+ goals per season for the past few seasons?
Has turned into the current best defense in the EPL and looks consistently SOLID in the back and according to you it's nothing?
Check Arsenal's record against the Top Six in the last three seasons including the number of goals conceded, before Arteta and check his record against the same teams and come back and talk..
Criticism is part of being a Football Fan but don't let your animosity towards the man stop you from acknowledging the progress Arsenal has undergone in the past 11 months.
You are absolutely right. He has done a great job in a very, very short period of time (not a full season yet).

If there are still some shortcomings it is certainly not from the gaffer's closet. The indices are all positive basicaly.... and this comes from a harsh critic that says it as it is. Arsenal is not the same team it was even as long as six or seven years ago.

-Exactly.

-If he is indeed still breathing, he may well be in natural coma.

-Comas can last from a day to several weeks. In some but very rare cases, a coma may last as long as several years, after which the patient gradually wakes but may immediately progress into a vegetative state, or die soon after.
Oga, how long can a human last without ingesting, digesting and excreting?.
Please be informed. Those in comas still need nourishment, ventilation and help with excretion.
Rephrase and apologise to those who liked your comment. It is too inaccurate and ignorant.

This corpse is NOT in any natural state of which a person in a coma is.

Historical 'big six' you mean. In reality both teams no longer have a credible case for being top 6.

When you are told to stay out of politics and civilian administration, you refuse.

This is the result.

The miliitary, particularly the army is today being dragged through the mud by divisive, sectional, corrupt and unpatriotic politicians to suppress democracy and the people they are meant to serve.

So unfortunate.

You hawked stuff as qualifications to elected office is amongst the set of inspirational stories more relevant to secured, developed societies where institutions are already established and functioning optimally to check any hicups by those who are fortunate to find themselves at the wheel. It does not work in Africa and amongst the black race.

Nigeria can I'll afford anything but the brightest and the best, the committed and the competent, to head her establishments, her territories and the vast, diverse and dysfunctional population we have.

The issues are so serious that we don't only need the educated in power but those educated for the specific task of leadership, those schooled from their birth to becoming nationalists, patriots and buiklders of people, with every other competence added unto them.

We have experienced poor quality leadership for too long. I am afraid such rags to riches sentimental stories are not what we need right now.

Government is paying for your education. They have the right to dictate how you respond. Pay your way and dress your way. Government has no business in business. College education is a business investment that most Nigerians refuse to accept. Is dressing a business proposition?...

A sad situation.
Everybody is running
The only people that will be left in nigeria by 2023 will be fanatics of mediocrity and half baked graduates that can't pass IELT or meet up with others immigration requirements. Those ones are doomed to a brutal life.
The future I see for this country is drenched in blood.
I see people resorting to cannibalism to survive.
Oh yes.A policeman was eaten during this past protest.
The elastic limit of long suffering and smiling Nigerians will be reached but the people will be too dumb to turn on their real enemies(the politicians)they will rather resort to their better to do neighnours...and loot/steal/kill them.
Of course the police(or what's left of it) cannot and will not do anything about the carnage so it will explode nationwide. We all saw this happen. The leaders will enter their private jets and flee to their overseas refuge as the country burns.
Nigeria will then be declared a humanitarian crises state, the only difference now being that we are 200million people.
There will be no import of foods since all trade has been shut down
As we run out of food, little pockets of wars will break out across the country.
America and other developed country can only do so much, which is little. They have their own issues...
Ghana and neighbouring countries will shut down their borders.I hear they have already done this.
You see, every other country knows what is brewing in nigeria
It's a ticking time bomb.
So instead of worrying about language and whatnot, carry yourself out of this country NOW.
You can also say that those not prepared to contribute to develop this state had better leave fast. Too much deadweight being carried around. Leave us to deal with the rest.

Covid this, police that, none of my business. Didn't affect me one bit. This year has been a record breaking year for us. Worked my ass out from January till date. Just insulate yourself from politics and goverment and you will be fine in Nigeria.

As goverment fails and institutions stutter there is real opportunity investing in alternate means of social cohesion and organisation that brings real value.

Invest in what goverment is failing at and you will be fine and profoundly successful.

Politics › Re: Govt To Connect Chad To National Power Grid by Reference(m): 7:29pm On Oct 29, 2020
In sane countries the government cannot unilaterally take such actions without the approval of its citizens via the legislature because this has far reaching, multi-faceted consequences for years, decades and perhaps generations to come. Such a decision cannot be left effectively to one man, perhaps acting impulsively.

We have seen the effects of indiscriminate signing of thought less contracts and agreements with foreign companies, institutions and nations. We as a people should be part of this and should debate it properly to prise out the facts and fine prints and expose any shady dealing so that if it goes sour in the future we can say we were part of the decision and so will collectively bear the consequences.

That is how qualitative nations run.

I simply cannot imagine this kind of thing happening even in the most corruptly bent banana republic in the world.
Listen good to this.

If you claim to be working in NNPC Refineries you are simply collecting blood money. You are a partaker in the wholesale mortgaging of this country and I can only feel sorry for your future when the country exacts its revenge on those who have raped and pillaged it. You better resign immediately and apologise to the country.
