okechukwu101:That is how Amad makes you play. They slow the game down so much your tactics invariably stalls and you feel like you're playing against 15 men. That is purely tactical oppression at play. |
Well the good side about this is that the new coach will not have the distraction of the Champions league next season so he can focus on building the team with the less number of top level competitions. How I wish Arsenal were out of europe entirely next season. Who knows, if Wenger had gone on to win this cup, maybe the miserly board will have 'unretired' him for yet another gamble next season. Abeg it is curtains for Wenger. His time in soccer as a whole has come to an end. Like Sven Eriksson, Guus Hiddink and co, his tactics and methods are outdated. He should have gone five years ago. |
The match is so dull. Suits Amad. They can play for two years like this. Arsenal had better throw all caution away and attack with all ten men. No use trying to avoid goal, Amad is not a free scoring team. |

Any hope of getting a result is now truly gone. Kocielny once again proving not to be a big game player. Something always seems to go wrong with him on the biggest stages. |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Even if there are, how do you command those software without a mouse/pad. And the computing power of those tablets that can barely multitask will be shreaded by the processing demands of scientific packages. My demand is simple. I need bigger screens and more power. No tablet can offer that fundamentally. To me the principle of a tablet remains around the user not the creator of things. I think the ideal hybrid will be Microsoft's Surface Pro which appears to take little from both world's. It isn't just a laptop witha sim slot and LTE but looks and feels like a big note with a keyboard. Why I haven't moved on one is that I don't trust Microsoft as a hardware vendor and I await long term users before living my life in that platform. |
Myself2:Exactly. When you see the preloaded packages on mobile devices these days you realize most are not built for work but socialising and play. |
mustmust:Not for the same data crunching capabilities and just how much does a 15 inch tablet cost. They are not just the same. You need both if you are nit the siddon look and gossip type of person. If you earn a decent living from productive work, thd laptop has no substitute yet. |
Shalomc: I know folks will comment on this but as a visitor you have to be at your ceremonial best and this applies to all walks of life. |
Fantastic. So, in your next lifetime you will steer clear of graft. I hope it will be a lifetime ban and should be extended to all members of your family. |
They are not bothered about Nigeria or her preaident. It is America and her president they are worried about. As far as they are concerned, Nigeria this way is okay. |
ollah2:Abeg shut it. Is he the one dividing the country. Is he the one polarising the security services. Are his church members taking up arms and slaughtering people. Simply because the status quo favours you should not erode your humanity as to the carnage happening and you should be equally angry and critical of authorities if you are not sympathetic to the perperiators of these inhuman acts. |
This is getting serious. First the Catholic communion asking him to step down immediately, now this... Honeatly this country is in a real mess. Never been this bad. The army, my army, the last bastion of nationhood is being corrupted and desecrated. What I don't know is whether theae frontal attacks on the person of Mr. Veepee will strengthen or undermine the position of the number one Christian politician in the country. Whether it is counter productive to the Christian populace of Nigeria as a whole. But whatever the case I will always say this. If an ethno-religious group from the Christian south went about killing and pilfering for socio-economic reasons and ended in desecrating a mosque and killing its worshippers, I don't think anyone will doubt the backlash expected. It appears the message of 'turn the other cheek' is being tested severely. |
The first question I will always ask in all these types of situations is, where are your parents and what the hell are they doing for you you to be found in this situation. Because I can read between the lines and see lot of 'life's inconsistencies'. |
hush15:Doubt it. Kogi state remains a very backward state governned by the forces of ethnicity and Dino's arsenal is pretty small. Look at the figures of registered voters in those local government areas of his constituency. |
tayebest:Find out the facts behind their suffering and it all comes back to the Federal and State Executives. Dino's only crime could be that he is not putting enough pressure on them or mis representing them, but all evidence is that he has been putting pressure on the Yahaya Bello government to pay dues and invest. What else can he do. And this criticism of his state government is the origin of this recall. So what you are saying is that if Bello had succeeded in recalling Dino and probably installing a stooge, the people will be better represented and dividends come to them. Then I will ask you is it only folks of Dino's senatorial zone that are suffering in Kogi? Instead of the governor to prove Dino wrong by good governance he is busy further pauperizing the people by wasting scarce government money and the time of the electorate on a personal, futile vendetta. There is a famous greek saying that, before you go out on revenge, first dig two graves. Guess what. |
Now, the next battle lines.....in the spirit of vindictiveness those local government areas will hear from him for the rest of his tenure. |
dvee2:Is INEC not a Federal Institution anymore. Is it a United Nations body. Or do you know the meaning of 'Federal'. |
If your purpose is commerce, the Hilux offers the best package. It is the most practical pickup out there. |
emperormossad:Honestly, that is too bad for Nigeria and symptomatic of the fact that we have not built on 2015. I think we have to revisit the clause that gives the sitting President the powers to nominate the INEC chair. In view of the nature of our polity, it just doesn't make sense. |
The million dollar question now is: will even INEC come out of this with its image intact. Because the casual eye wil now view them as mere tools in the hands of the ruling party officinados. Hind sight is always twenty twenty and I'm sure if this thing goes south they will wish they had cut and run after the court injunction. This is a big shame to all those involved. And a stupid risk by INEC ahead of the far more important 2019 polls. |
Wow, this looks bad for his opponents. It appears they have inadvertently turned him into a cult hero. That is why I keep on saying this: Do things lawfùlly and decently and all other things will be added onto you but this government simply cannot wait for that. Just consider the Nnamdi Kanu case. He was due back in court in a few weeks, you angrily sent the army and the situation is worse. Boko Haram leader was in custody and he was killed there. They are making the same mistakes with the Shiite leader. Perhaps Dino will have been in the polling docks today if not for the unfortunate telly pictures of his public humiliation. You just wonder who advices these guys. Sounds like emotional yes men instead of critical thinkers. |
The Federal Government who is not listening and responding to you is the same Federal Government you went to endorse for another term.... abeg dis pepo, make una reave me alone, mbok. |
BafanaBafana:Land is not scarce in the east. |
Lalas247:A family is the bedrock of a perfect life but it us only the beginning . There are far more importance heights she has blocked with this glass ceiling. Pity. |
AdamuAudu:He doesn't so he does not expect the Senate President to. This is the mess we face. |
forgiveness:Exactly. In the world of diplomacy leadership must raise poultry to feed the foxes if it wants to rid the country side of such savages. Even terrorists know this so they abduct, not for raw show of power but so they can have a currency of exchange. In a three way power equation there is no way you can win with all your pawns intact. You must make sacrifices to win. This win at no cost approach by the three arms has resulted in significant losses for them all. It is mere foolishness for each arm to try and destroy or debilitate the other arm. Granted stability is guaranteed in diametric tension but it all should be done under the canopy of the rule of law. In this we have not matured. All these 'my way or total destruction' is symptomatic of political toddling which is getting us nowhere. |
Nobody obeys laws in Nigeria so nothing will happen. The Executive does not obey laws, the Legislators donot, even the Judiciary does not obey laws. Just a lawless country. They will simply use him as a bargaining chip saying for example, if you want us to remive Dino, then Magu, x, y ,z.... simple. The power of democracy lies with all arms. In a proper setting none can outmuscle the other. Each arm can only take moral high grounds. Unfortunately the executive has none. It doesn't obey the house nor the courts so it cannot leverage on both in the office of the true power owners, the electorate. |
To even think this sort of thing is happening in what should be an educational establishment involving folks who should have an iota of intelligence is really sad. Shows most are only after the certificates and not the values they represent. As for the lady in question she lacks the fundamental knowledge of life and enterprise. One cardinal rule of both is. Success is a journey, not a destination. Most feel it is a ladder, the top of which is a plateau of peace, solace, pride and the sense of conquest...then they fall off because they quit moving to take the view. The moment she began to dominate she should have realised the next battle lines and began making preparations and taking steps to "change gear', 'move to the next level', using the same principles described that have brought her success but with enhanced inputs. She should have begun investing in the next level of similar business where her competitors are 'bigger', not smaller than her so that she will be given the elbow room to grow and be established unnoticed. The summary is that what she experiences is common in every field of enterprise. I've heard stories in every business field from lowly barbers' and ladies salons to our mighty GSM networks. Competition sometimes brings out the beasts in man. I've experienced it personally growing in business for years. Never remain static. The moment the engine of your business reaches maximum revolutions, to prevent the disintegration of the system, change gears. There is a finite amount of value you can milk from every opportunity, market, clientele, location, etc. |
