Archangel15:And why is there no one on the bench?...because Arsenal supported by Wenger stubbornly refuses to invest properly in talent year after year. Wasting money on a bogus squad of inferior quality. How many in that his squad has won any continental or international trophy of any kind, yet he wants to compete with clubs sporting first rate internationals and battle hardened veterans of countless trophies. He thinks he can hack a European trophy out of the blues. |
If Simeone comes over to Arsenal, will he be coming to a bigger club or smaller club. |
Hmmmm.... another low..... At this rate Nigerian Presidents by 2030 will be commissioning toothbrushes and zebra crossings. |
Some great ideas start with crazy incidents. |
san316:They don't have to. Once the process is set in motion it damages his legacy. It is like a query set in a personnel file. I think Mr. President had better look into insecurity problem. It was one of his campaign promises ànd ine of the recurrent claims of achievement with the Boko Haram lull. Right now the situation is far worse than he met it. |
famosty:No. Nigeria depends on the NNPC. One company. A whole country depends on one corporation. |
Pesuzok:They said there was nothing like subsidy so find another. |
KGMNairaland:Show us your anti herdsmen defences first. I heard agriculture in Nigeria these days is more dangerous that working in a nuclear power station and investing has been reduced to betting on Arsenal football club. |
agongajoseph:How do you know that. It should be closed down and inspected. But of course in Nigeria who cares. |
ishua:Honest truth. All leaders face challenges. The proof of quality is success despite them and the greater the depths of despair the greater the testimony when they are overcome. Excuses are a proof that leadership is wrong. Dead wrong. |
obonujoker:I disagree. Bayern in my opinion is the second best champions league team ever. They have won the cup more times than Barca and have been closer to the cup in recent years than Milan. They have been in all semi finals practically the last decade if I'm not mistaken. So to place them in the same nest as Cektuc and Porto is a tad unfair. The Bundesliga is number 3 on my list of top competitive euro leagues in my opinion. |
Real Madrid. The greatest football team of all time. |
sweetkev: No matter how angry I am, when I see this picture eh.... |
braimeddy:Mr VP said we should pray. He left Lagos after the Deeper Life event. He should have flown straight there to Benue commiserate but politics will not allow that. So as he asks us to pray so we will....but for him to see the light and act as one who God has entrusted with the political defence of his people. Mr. VP, in this regard nd responsibility you are failing . Remember you claim to be running a government of integrity. |
kingkakaone:Different governments, different political parties, different leaders. What is the common denominator..... the people. So the declinewe fave is directly proportional to the decline in the values of the people. You simply cannot experience better than what or who you are. The Bible says it. "As a man thinketh in hus heart so he is"....or so he will experience. |
mechanics:It is not his business to tell us to pray. Prayer put him there TO ACT. David, King of Israel didn't ask the people to sit down and pray for him. David had a personal relationship with God and knew why God put him there. Leaders of old inquired on behalf of the people they led. They didn't hide behind them. He should go to war and when he begins to get weary the people will see and uphold him. Which battles are clearly being fought by Mr. Veep on behalf of Christianity or Christians with the terrible myriad of problems we have. He only spoke out about the killing of the priests because he was going to the Deeper Life event and had to say something if not you wil not hear anything from him. And how do you know a Christian is engaged in battle whether spiritual or physical... you begin to observe resistance and like the saints in governments of old, clashes with authority, be it Moses in Egypt or Daniel in Babylon. When things are going awry and you are silent or ambivalent, you are certainly not in charge and cannot claim a mighty God is running the show. |
Ademidd:Well said, how? Is it not the spiritual warfare that got him there afterall. Now that he is there He wants God to fo the job of Vice President of Nigeria as well. I don't know how these people understand scriptures. You ask God for wisdom to uphold your learning, then sit for an examination and begin to pray again for God to answer the questions. In short you were created to do nothing but pray. Was this what Moses did in Egypt to rescue Israel. Oh Veep where is thy faith on display to do exploits that will put the enemies of your people to flight. Like the Daniels of old in Babylon who with utmost respect dared the king. Like the David's of old who after inquiring if God went into battle. Real flesh and blood battle. Christians these days of failed faith now hide behind 2 Corinthians 10:4 as if the Hall of Faith was closed by Jesus Christ and only old testament saints will be honoured there. He forgers there are just as many Christians in Nigeria as other religions so what is the fear, not that God even depends on number to save and deliver. I have said it countless times if there was a Christian militia running around Nigeria beheading folks particulatly if other religions, abducting, raping and maiming their children and openly burningtheir places of worship and executing their imams, will theur leaders ask for prayers alone. Will Nigeria not be on fire? Abeg Mr V.P. either be a Christian politician or a political christian. You cannot be both. |
Okay, calm, down ladies....we've seen the kids play. An appetiser for the big boys at war tomorrow. |
I said that structure was the biggest problem in Nigeria. Folks disagreed and followed the anti-corruption bandwagon. See Nigeria now. We are now so deep in a fix that you can better imagine the kind of violence that will be unleashed if this government loses the next election. I have no regrets whatsoever. I resisted and spoke out to the bitter end. I played my part. Now we just have to hunker down and endure thus calamity for another five years. Leave the tiger in peace. Nigeria. The only country in the world that consumes its citizens. Real hell on earth. |
Hasn't he read the stats about maternal mortality. |
WhenI said the structure of this country was the biggest problem we had, they said it was corruption. It is corruption that is churning out this carnage daily. Whatever Nigerians don't demnd fir they will not get, simple. |
PPCDigitals:May not be what you think. The career span of a coach far exceeds that of a player but the job span is far shorter. So its more like spreading value over time but managing risk (of costly compensations) when the short-termish decision arises to fire. The likes of Pep and Zizou have reallymade soccer pay. Both made mega bucks as players and almost immediately are making mega bucks as young managers. You can imagine if a CR7 or a Lionel Messi begins to earn these wages soon after their on pitch careers end and go on as long as the likes of Sir Alex or Arsene. |
Lovely. The church of God is marching on. |
oyetpel:That luck you call it is indeed grace and is open to everyone. Is there any adult in this world who has not heard sbout Jesus. How many folks out there have Mikel in the family to inspire them to dream. Many, many folks have no one, some families are all disadvantaged, some families are outright abusive and negative yet someone manages to break free and thrive. Abeg, it is of the mind. Success is not luck. Now, I am not saying everyone should be successful but as long as a man lives, he has a chance. The tables can turn and Mikel can make bad choices and end up broke. This means the man can still do it and rise. He should get started. He has wasted enough time. |
If Mikel was a Minister in government or Senator in the House of Assembly they will fully expect him to steal because the official salary package will certainly not be able to go round 'family' members. |
Princeofnigeria:I understand but I just don't like the tone of tje dude and that psyche makes him a suspect. How can he imply that Mikel is in China today 'by luck'. Which indirectly means he cannot fend for his father because he is unlucky. Look man, I have a philosophy in life. Never will I desire what I cannot have. What if Mikel drops dead today. Is his destiny dead as well. We Africans love sentiments that is why ee don't develop. Our so called 'family centric traditions' is why we are too cruel to society in general. If Mikel did not deploy his skills, work hard and trade it for the success of his various clubs and the pleasure of many, will he be where he is today. Is there any man without a skill. But the moment an African man sees his neighbour move forward instead of competing or complimenting he sits, looks, critiques and finally complains. Nigerians hace a problem with everyone successful from Dangote to Davido yo David Oyedepo yet it is the same folks that moan that they don't do enogh for their 'people'. Trust me, the formula is the same. it is the sick father. Settle that matter and it becomes the house rent, then school fees, the Christmas cow. The day you get fed up, you become a devil. I just discharged one last week. One year and hundreds of thousands of naira. Everyday something. I have nothing against Mikel helping out but it should come with a strong caveat placing a life changing demand on the person such that he either shapes up or ships out, period. Toni Nadal, Rafa's uncle made a lifetime sacrifice teaching and touring with the lad until he retired last year. Today Toni is richer that Rafa's own blood father. That is a real and proper life. |
Princeofnigeria:Give them 10 million on what basis. They should apply to the foundation. The only privilege they have is to support Mr. Mikel and work for him to earn a living without an interview. The mentality in the text is telling. Yes God blesses but even that is not by luck. Paul said, 'I worked harder than all the other apostles' all of which were physically with Jesus. So acknowledging luck or in Christianity (grace) does not foreclose what a man has to do for himself. If he had written a proposal at the time of thefoundation lauch as to how to make it a success, he won't be having this complaint today. People must learn to add value to others as a means of gaining value. If you earn thousands today and want millions tomorrow, add value to millionaires or the million naira ideas they inspire. Even God Almighty runs from folks who only come around when they are needy. |
seunmsg:Typical response. Instead of washing your dirty linen, you go and stand beside a mad man to seek justification. Typical. |
Tukor32:What is the meaning of friends/contacts. This is a debasing mindset. You set up yourself as a salesman and perpetual follower. Why not go for excellence and be a leader, a person whom others will look up to and follow. This is a defeatist mentality. Your child will end up in bad company. |
dumo1:Then something is wrong somewhere. |
Madam should rather spend quality time on personal improvement. The resources of the mind are eternal. That of the body not so. |
Wasted life. |
