TonyeBarcanista:Told yea folks corruption can never end. Now the winner has to 'compensate' the also rans for their own outlays in order to 'unify' the party ahead of November and then he has to do the small business of recouping his own 'investment'..... all in post dated.....sorry post swearing in cheques. |
See the first guy from the right on the front row seat. He be like.... oh boy school fees for my ducklings loading..... |
matamaros:Abeg sit disn and stop this your idolatry. Today is Monday. Now, now you don forget Sunday message. |
I'm in support of any democratic process that produces a true leader when there are no considerations for affirmative action. It is a good one. The APC is maturing. |
jpphilips:That is exactly what I am saying. Years of free oil has spoilt us. If oil runs out comlpetely, what are we going to do. We are not just prepared for development. The fact that we produce oil, does it mean we should not pay the right price for it. The US produces oil, why is gasoline not sold for 10 cents a litre there. They pay international prices though they produce. I often say, the day a yam farmer develops an inordinate taste for yams and he is not willing to pay the market price for yams or the fulani herdsman who loves suya and sells his cows to himself at half the price are both bankruptcies in the making. Next time you meet a Japanese, ask him how much he buys a Toyota or Honda vehicle?. This is the mentality we need to have. The Niger - Delta crises is the wake up call, the school teacher of Nigeria, strict, but in years to come will be praised for making us develop. So let them bomb happily. I'm 100% in support. I don't regard it as suffering but a learning curve to nationhood. As a person I don't fear leaving home for the first time to seek my own livelihood. Most Nigerians are petrified simply because they have absolutely nothing to offer. |
Nothing wrong in right pricing. If it is not sustainable then so be it. Scacity and uncertainty is far worse. We should not do anything inimical to investment in that sector meaning that we should prove as a nation to be ready to pay for things. Years of free or next to nothin fuel has spoilt us. Petroleum products are very expensive in nature and that is why it is a global phenomenon and from the devastation of the Niger - Delta we can see the price being paid to get it. Fuel is precious. Unfortunately we have been living a lie for decades no thanks to the owners of Nigeria and their military and civilian collaborators. Now we have to reset our mentality to the present realities. |
Christians don't die. They just move from one place to the other. So they are not mourned but rather missed. From the way he talks about her she sounds like one heaven sent, real quality woman. |
Kanyekels:Correct. So let them wallow in their sufferings till their brains reset. By the time this is all over, no one will tell Nigerians how to do the right thing. |
SpeedOfLight: Hahahahaha.... I like that. Indeed suffering is the tonic for the soul. It is the heat that seperates impurities from the ore and lets tthe gleaming metal shine tnrough. |
no1madman:Good first step. If there is no improvement over time then you can complain. But these are the things we've longed for and must be celebrated. Our roads must be free of long distance heavy duty trucking as soon as possible. |
I think it is a good thing for democracy as a whole and will further consolidate the strengths of the party. And I hope more good candidates will be throwing their hats into various contests within the party knowing they stand a chance and knowing they are not fighting with a hand tied behind their backs in favour of a certain anointed candidate. It is good that the rules of the game are changing and is not rigged in favour of one person or the other. It was predicted. Empires always crumble from within. |
Days?... with all that rough handling, even it is frozen at dusk by now it will be not fit for human consumption. The seller is not very bright. |
Auto except you wanna grow calves the size of tree trunks especially when driving german. When in Lagos I just take taxis. Just can't do it. |
JustHere2Observ:So it is not man or woman, it is evil, pure and simple. Refer to that only and quit stereo. |
Wingback:It is a good start. They produce 4,000 vehicles per annum like this and the vehicles are on the roads. They may not meet American standards but so is our economy. |
ladyF:Lady F. It is still Nigeria. When we say buy Nigeria, it is context of jobs and value chain which this government badly needs. If I buy a Toyota from Japan, no productive jobs are created here and no taxes by indutry to the States and the Federal Government accrues. By when you buy Innoson the government gets all the duty for the CKD's and it gets all the benefits of local production. I don't know of any industry in Nigeria and perhaps the world at large that operates at 100% local content absolutely. The first first duty of government in this case is to preserve jobs and then capital. They can help Innoson reduce its forex footprint by encouraging allied industries in its line of need. |
discusant:You have a long night ahead. You don enta. |
JustHere2Observ:Hmm....as if married women don't cheat. Is this how they should be treated. You condemn the man and excuse the woman first abi. |
Gaddafithe2nd:The allegation remains on the table. You dozed off, she did not....lazy boy. |
Kizyte:No be only dollar dey round trip. Even kweshun. You dey ask why e marry anoda wife. You no dey see picture. The tin wey you dey ask de man don see tay tay. |
You are under treatment for CANCER and you fly 6,000 miles to attend a swearing in for what.... What will it profit a man.... Pure worldliness. Haba. The husband that is weeping should have offered solid advice and put the health of his wife first. |
What I find objectionable is the assertion that conservatism is synonymous with the Islamic religion alone and so this is an attack on the secular public or the Christian sect by radical islam. So does this mean Christians are say all, do all..... wear all folks. I beg to differ and have serious reservations about trashy dressing as well and can throw folks out of my premises if dressed for damage. It has nothing to do with religion but one's personal view, tastes and tolerances. |
Good start at least. |
Smooyis:Then it should get an excellent stadium which it surprisingly doesn't have. |
modath:It is not everyone you respond to. Not everyone is reachable, teachable and will be saved. There are some given to perpetual failure. I don't respond to every comment. |
mokybb:Hmmm...by the way what is 'economic indiscipline' and how do you wage war. Abeg don't tell me EFCC. I know where you are going but let me try to give you a better solution. Nigeria gives little incentive to do what is right and plenty of incentives to do what is wrong. And it is in our factory settings. It is written in our programming code. Consider. |
Okay. Read everything. Just one more good observation in the sea of uninformed tirade. That of the renumeration system but he no solution because the obvious answer is restructuring which is not a popular subject north of the Niger. It is the only solution to 'general governance problems'. I have said restructuring will mean the Legislature is paid by and from the constituencies, paid by those they represent. If on the other hand 30million is what the 'shareholders' of any 'parastatal' is comfortable with, fine. |
Flash comment. Totally support the view of the Prof. Government should stop giving money in advance to contractors and should stop using vendors entirely. If it wants an Innoson van or bus it should contact Innoson not XYZ Supply and logistics Limited. Secondly, contractors should source for funding for their projects and this should be a prequalification criteria. Nigerian companies raising funds from Nigerian financial institutions and multinationals raising funds offshore only (to create a level playing field.... back to the text. |
Beremx:He has an airline? How did he manage that. What business does this man do that has enabled such an investment. |
; CIGARETTE: If you stay in Kano for a while and know the Chinese well, you will be their close friend. You are the only thing they share in common. |
Goke7:Free yourself from the captivity of 'company'. What is a company. Is it not a collection of people with vision, drive and competencies. Seperate them and you will find out there are several Nigerians with expertise in rail construction. Get them to moon light or sabatical for the 'Kano Metroline Project'. Lease equipment on favourable terms and source all but the absolutely impossible materials from local manufacturers. There are a number of foundries in Nigeria that will look at that 1.8 billion dollar cake and absolutely drool at it. They will retool away from rebar to make rail lines in a heart beat. Has the government made this inquiry yet. Let's be honest. We are not serious in this country. With all the rail projects completed, underway and proposed through the length and breadth of Nigeria, government has not realized they can insist that these Chinese folks build steel factories and foundries in Nigeria? Or give them Ajaokuta free of charge. |
Goke7:The rule of development is that whatever you cannot make for yourself in times of hardship you shouldn't have. We have said it many times that we should diversify to develop. Why then the same old import driven dependency. Rail infrastructure is critical but there are other infrastructure we can build for ourselves in the now that can equally boost and diversify our economy. If agric is our primary way out then I suggest we throw our all into it for now. Get it going and then move on. An urban rail line reduces costs, it does not produce jack. |

The colonial masters only did to ease administration, no ingenuity was involved..
