Not a fan of his Ministry but I can't see the point in having tax free hidden accounts in some far away land when the clergy and churches are not taxed by most States and even if there is a doubt, they are not in Nigeria so he may as well repatriate all his funds to Nigeria and stash same in any bank without fear. Can't see the point so I doubt the authenticity. |
They are going at it with hammer and tongues. |
I'm really disappointed with this government and really saddened by the way things are turning out. On the political front it is clear the APC has no influence whatsoever on its members and cannot exert any measure of influence whatsoever on the course of events. On the governance side of things I just wonder for the life of me and say yet again. How can a single rail line and a few drugs and other sundries be allowed to literaly ground the entire country and its economy. Is there not something called supplementry. Are there not other agencies such as the NDDC and Niger-Delta Mimistries that can start these projects. I have always been a stickler for principles and in this case a fan of seperation of powers and competition amongst arms of government but this is way too bad. This government is not showing its care for its people and readily places its own interests above those it is charged to serve. At the end of the day who will be judged for failures. Let us think. |
MadCow1:Better. Now I expect the State Command to do the needful without delay. There are far too many unemployed folks out there who will do a far better job at it instead of this.....creature. Just wasted the nation's resources on your training. Scum. ![]() |
What is wrong with you people. Why is his face hidden. Why isn't he exposed so that he can be sacked before dusk. If not next thing is that he is given a gun and you know how it will all end. What sort of useless reportage is this. |
If you like no join queue. |
Hahahahaha....the father has been watching too much Dstv, 'beyond scared straight' to be precise not knowing all the components are not exactly the same particularly the police who turned the (rehab) program to 'your boy's got talent'..... |
Very good development but please donot lower your guard, insurgent action are never far from the surface. |
Well if this is the case I think think this is just making a mountain out of a mole hill. The way I understand it this is just a power struggle between the executive and legislators on how to deliver. I don't think it is the function of the Legislature to direct projects. Once they have agreed a framework and set targets they should allow the executive to administer however I fully understand that as representative of the people closer to the grass roots (where the real Nigerian resides) than the executive can ever be and they more than any know what things will benefit their peoples. Secondly if any person feels the Legislature is a rubber stamp then they have it coming. If they can not only give the executive a rough ride in budget and a rougher time in implementation the same Nigerians who are critical will thank them for it. The running of the country is not a executive preserve only. There is nothing here. Buhari and his team should go and develop negotiating skills. This is a democracy. No one gets all he wishes for. For a good reason. |
Nicur:Oh dear, the Executive are back on the ground. What a fight .....nothing we no go see for dis gabmet. |
PUSH1:Oga. Nobody will invest to compete with government. Heck, there is not even an intent thoughtless of a policy framework and the fact that your President doubles as the oil minister clearly indicates government has no intention of letting go. Dangote is taking a major, major gamble that could ruin him if care is not taken. |
Good that you are beginning to climb down your high horse. Nigerians are so, so slow. So unwilling to learn. They waste time, cost themselves trillions and still do the needful at the end. See Bokoharam, fuel subsidy, niger-delta militancy and now foreign currency. Stubborn goats. Hmmm....at least coma is better than death. |
Though I find it very hard to believe that the south PDP have the numbers to vote down or stop any motions, bills or the budget their continued silence on this important matter is indicting and indicative of the fact that they play politics with the welfare of the penple they represent which will backfire badly. The APC has the high moral ground here am afraid. |
Hmmm...na waoh. Nigeria is becoming hot for politicians, anyway that is bit progress. |
sirhot:The first and most important thing a man should look for in a woman as companion and soul mate is a good heart. That is a woman attuned to the things of God and sincere towards (all) her fellow men. The second priority to look out for is a woman with a good head, a sound, intelligent mind filled with wisdom equiped to handle the web and intricacies of life in a balanced and positive manner. The third (and in my opinion a distant one) is a fit and tidy body. I will even say fit first because the body is merely a vehicle for actualising the first two so fitness is important so is tidyness to health and well being. So where does form lie. To me it counts for nothing. Very, very little. Tall, short, fat, thin, ugly, beautiful donot get much traction in life, are bound to change and are easily adaptible. So poster get your priorities right. Marraige is a life decision. Set 'life bearing' criteria for your choice. Of course depend on God and you will have peace and joy. |
kaziblake:The paradox called Nigeria. Supposedly brilliant people making and keeping wrong leadership choices time and again. How can? |
rusher14:And you want me to answer this? |
There is not enough information to warrant a comment at this point. What I do know is that there is something called a supplementary budget. A single rail line and hospital drugs cannot and should not be the reason why the entire economy is endangered by this lack of inertia. Anyway it is getting late in the year to commence meaningful civil engineering projects due to the inclement weather approaching. I just cannot see the wisdom in all this. If on the other hand the the PDP is that strong to want to thwart, delay, discredit and damage the reputation of the government through an APC majority in the House then its too bad. That is not the way to play politics. It is very dangerous. |
Somewhere, some how fraud got mixed up in our genetic make up. |
mkoabiola:No more one year, eh. You people were saying we should judge after 1 year last year, now is 4 years bah. Some people are even saying after 16 years because PDP ruled that long. I hope by September you will be saying judge him after 56 years because Nigeria has been spoiling since oyinbo handed over or after 102 years (amalgamation tins), chai, abeg I can't wait that long. |
Kazrem:I just wonder. The window for most heavy engineering projects in the south is closing. In the next five or six weeks the tropical weather arrives and there goes your project. I have this feeling that the sense in all these moves is simple: the funds to execute is really not there so to cap the budget deficit, delay the workings. It was also an effective tool of corruption in times past as unutilised funds were never returned to treasury at the close of the year. |
amaechi1:This shows who controls what. That it is the majority northern APC legislators that must have pushed through that alteration. |
aresa:Are both houses not controlled by the APC. If the PDP has enough power to sabotage government through the legislators then someone is in big trouble. |
erinalex:I've noticed something about the defenders of this club...., sorry administration. At the beginning it was 'wait and see what will happen in 2 months', then it was 'by December', then 'by 2019', 'then sometime in January the general talk was 'after 6 years like Jonathan', now in April we are making comparisons WITH 16 YEARS OF PDP'. Ha. Oga. You cannot be comparing phone, car, house, cloth, music, computer of 1999 to 2015 in terms of performance. Elections mean a reset of ideologies, values, expectations and thus performance. In 1999 we just wanted out of military rule, in 2015 it is the economy. And you don't expect people to give you 16 years to fix that. At the rate you APC folks are pushing back expectations, by the end of the year you will be saying 'afterall Nigeria has been independent since 1960 while blaming Lord Lugard. Better stop this and generate ideas or the APC won't see more than 4 years thoughtless of 16. |
Seeeeeeee:Hmmm....trying to play God. You are only taking the adventure out of life and will end an emotional wreck with no relationships and little progress because there is no human on earth without foibles. |
sonature1:And what will happen is that in order to fund their activities your alphabet choices will lure the same PDP and APC elements which will cross carpet carrying their political ebola along. So I think it is better to manage your old wife than gamble with a new one. |
wristbangle:People make parties and parties make democracy so its not about changing the form of government or changing political acronyms but changing the people. That is why politics should be institutionalised not personalised for it to endure. As you will rather buy a car or a phone manufactured by a company rather than an individual so you should insist to vote a party rather than a candidate or because of a god father. Jonathan bad, Jonathan bad, Jonathan is gone and the party moves forward. Tinubu good, Tinubu good. Tinubu will retire from politics one day, should that be the end of the APC. People who talk like that are emotional and look outside marraige at the slhghtest displeasure whereas a successful life is defining ones desires, getting the raw materials and sticking to the task until the desires are achieved. True of marraige, true of politics. |
OlujobaSamuel:I hope the things you mentioned will fade into oblivion in times to come. And elections will be about the people and their well being. In this I sincerely hope the APC performs and the PDP reorganises and rebouds to evolve a virile two party political contest at all levels. People who wish for the demise of one or the other are myopic and shortsighted, ignorant of the workings of multi-party democracy. |
If true and trending then it is a serious heads up for this administration and vindicates Tinubu's wake up call to the Ministers that the cement is still not dry in0he foundations of power |
Omooba77:Since January. They are by far the most consistent team out there and it is consistency that wins marathons like soccer leagues. |
And with the final whistle goes all title hopes in what could turn out to be Arsenal's best opportunity for premiership silverware in a decade. Not that it ended today but with the close of the transfer window in January when the club once again failed to attract top talent to help it navigate the stressful waters of three competitions, injuries took their toll, players tired and with no capable replacements the club's momentum coming into the end of the year fell away. Sorry Gunners fans..... GET RID OF WENGER. NO OTHER WAY. |
Buy players he will never buy players even to save his pathetic life. With a surplus and transfer kitty of a 100 million pounds he went down to Egypt and brought back nothing but bondage. The story of my life says Arsene Wenger - serial torturer trained by Sadaam and mentored by Stalin. |
