Suks: so u agree with his views.......Well, Mr Abati knows that the fate of Nigerians are held by men and not institutions. Men that come and go rather than institutions that endure. Men that forgive and forget over time rather than retain facts for ever. Mr Abati knows that in a few short years all his vices will have disappeared from the annals of history and he together with other actors will join the audience to cheer or jeer the new cast. As they say. Nothing do you Mr. Abati. Nothing you do today that FFK has not. Tomorrow we will gladly join you in the audience. |
Feed me more: Chelsea will be unstoppable if they can add the attacking duo of Ramadel Falcao and The other Uruguay guy that plays for Napoli. I forgot his name.Edison Cavani. As usual spluttering Spurs runs out of gas in the home stretch handing Arsene Wenger yet another lifeline. |
Corruption is hard-wired into the average Nigerian psyche. Only politics gets publicity. |
hrmkz: PSG vs BarcaYes. Juve and Barca will munch them with coffee and cream. |
siddiq202: Malaga v Borussia DortmundNewcastle can never beat Benfica. In this world and the next. |
ckkris: If you continue up to five years you will definitely notice changes and improvements in many areas of life.Hmm. Good, clean, mineralised water is becoming expensive and is definitely not abundant anymore. |
Vavoom: This I heard is one of the reasons they are on strike. They are protesting victimisation of staff, unimproved staff welfare and being made to continually sacrifice while their ogas smile to the bank with fat packages claiming tat the company is in debt.Well in that case Aero isn't going. It is gone. What you have disclosed is classic asset stripping. Cashing in on a dying horse. Pity those who are not near chairs when the music stops. Airline business is no business. |
So you can now see why the IGP is spending 2 billion on police games. I'm sure the emphasis will be on high jump, 110-high hurdles, pole vault, long jump and in case the chase continues, the marathon. |
buskeske: @op abeg this dog place you are talking about,Man. You're done. If you chow on bush meat in Calabar you are either eating man's best friend or man's closest relation. The latter is a state crime and you can do time for it. In Canaan stick to suya if you must. |
Understand its healthy, low fat meat but guys, I just can't bring myself to touch that thing. Even if my heart receives it my mind will command my innards to expel it. But I can't fault those who indulge. It just another animal. |
The dining room/table became obsolete since I was a kid. Then my parents redesigned the room for family living while the sitting remained for guests only. Tried to restore dining in my house but it just doesn't work and am thinking of tossing the table out for something useful. I guess modern culture has permitted us other things - reading, gaming, t.v., swimming, etc while eating. All the youthful etiq. of not talking, square shoulders, staring ahead is gone for good. |
Which one come be African Peoples Congress. This country sef. |
Abagworo: I noticed a kind of shuffle in the owners of different companies. I also noticed Mike Adenuga, Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia, Tony Ezenna, ABC Orjiakor and Arthur Eze. Henceforth, I will disregard their wealth because anybody could be a billionaire with OPL gift. And surprisingly I did not see Dangote. My brother, surprised you accorded so much respect previously. Be cautious about all Nigerians because in life big money rides on the back of either a big idea or a big opportunity. One creates the other stagnates. Its easy to see why the wealth gap wides daily and the trickle down effect is absent. |
Let's not be hypocritical here. The intensity of discourse on this forum is so bad that e-beheadings are common. Go back the previous pages and give each person a knife. Will everyone be left standing. |
I think Arsenal should just ride out their loss and return to the Emirates. The list of quarter finalists is frightening. Who dem wan remove. Even the weakest, Gala has their age old nemesis - double d. |
What. Is this a joke or something. What da. Who watches SABC. He's gone from an international to a regional platform. That's a waste. Sure will miss him. If Kalusha is behind all this then he's lost all respect. |
IYA NGBALI: as if the Nigeria police are law abiding, are you in this country at all? |
IYA NGBALI: as if the Nigeria police are law abiding, are you in this country at all?Abi oh. When the school bully twists your nose and pulls you earns you report to your senior brother not your lepacious twin. Wetin you want make police do, storm barracks or as we say 'swing' into action. P.S. Just asking. Between the army and police who has more small arms. Not ammo. I can be certain the army has huge stockpiles but the damn rifles themselves. Nothing to do with the topic pls. |
favinvest: Big fat lie I passed d bridge on my way from VI at abt 4.30pm today. I saw nothingEh nau. Moto fall inside water, wetin you wan see. Or na because dem call am carton or pure water, you tink say e go float. |
Probably a bad car driven by a bad driver on a bad bridge and plunged into a bad lagoon filled with bad stuff dropped into it by bad lagosians who want to make Lagos look bad especially to bad people who think fashola is a bad governor.
Hmm. And this literary piece is written by a bad, bad boy. |
For the umpteenth time I say, Nigeria does not and cannot have a viable airline industry. Whatever you see flying is not and cannot be legit business but the plaything of billionaire rogues and their government and foreign collaborators. Our economy cannot support viable aviation the way it currently runs. |
Lived in one of the best baracks in the country back then for a while. The now defunct 311 Field Artillery Regiment, Epe. Well laid out, neat modern buildings all ensuite, electricity and water to all flats and best of all a private beach where we chill out on weekends and eat plenty coconuts. What an experience. It didn't feel like a barrack at all, more like those adventure expeditions. Yes it was far. |
So many diversions today on Onitsha-Owerri. CCC's really pumping iron keeping that highway (arguably the best in Nigeria) in such pristine condition. Kudos to them. |
biafran soul: Abeg no vex; when last did you pass through the Niger bridge?I passed over it fifteen minutes ago enroute Owerri. Infact it is the short bridge at Okija that's under repairs causing a lane diversion. That bridge is not vibrating nothing. Perhaps you passed when an extremely heavy articulated truck was on the same span. Yes it will vibrate then because those steel girders are mounted on dampners. Yes the bridge is old, yes it is congested, yes Onitsha badly needs a new bridge but no, the bridge is not collapsing. |
Missonas: DISCIPLINE,HIERARCHY,NEATNESS and ORGANISATION used to be the xteristics of d military.nw jst lyk evrythg else in Nigeria, they'r falling out! #sadDon't be too quick to judge. Perhaps the soldier was on the phone to his mum in the village and she's telling him, 'my son be careful there are dangers everywhere, the roads are infested with bandits and wierdos' and then WMC drives up in full glory. The man goes urgh goddam, where's my gun, men am dead. |
Weird Mc huh. Maybe the commando thought he was being mugged and acted accordingly to save his kids. As they say how you dress is how you're addressed. |
wealthpos: But wait ooo...Don't you think that man might have been sacked just because of His all time rough beards?Yeah I think so. Too bad for him. |
Odunnu: Where in the post did you see the cause of accident to be bad road? Atleast read first before throwing stones. There are bad spots but not many. I think the profile of the road as it ducks and swerves contributes to this. More like an F1 track. P.S. The FRSC is really coming good. Their response to incidents has improved. The kinds of things you see these days just blows your mind. |
That road scares the heck out of me the few times I'm off to MKD. But I enjoy burning rubber. People have this wierd adrenalin rush. Dunno if its the traffic. |
Thou shall not go about n.a.k.e.d and so on. But was Jesus not stripped in front of the whole world. Why didn't the heavens fall as the laws of God were broken. If she feels oppressed the bible says look unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith who... But when you are a follower of man and church laws you have no faith, you misapply scriptures and do everything against what Christianity stands for. No one is stripping her naked and she is already vexed. Which religion is this. |
Eneze1: she knew what she was getting into before accepting her call up letter, it is clearly stated in the bible to obey constituted authorities, my mum is a staunch Deeperlife member (a coordinator) and she works with the para military, there was a time she had to go for a one year training and throughout they had to put on trousers there, she did put it on, even snap pictures with it, which doesn't make her less believer, the lady in question took the whole thing too far and if its true she was sent out at that time of the night its really uncalled for.Thanks. You understand what FAITH is and can delineate it from religion. |
I hate to see these sorts of blatant antagonism against institutions. If you want to fight, fight policies not rules. Once you've accepted the policy then obey the rules period. She knows what the NYSC is all about. A year of SACRIFICE and SERVICE to your country. If you can't do it simply stay away and forsake the benefits. She doesn't want to obey the rules so she wants those who are in charge of that camp to break them and perhaps lose their jobs abi. How is that fair. Finally there is absolutely nothing in scripture that supports that action. Jesus came to set us free from the law and its consequences. We are saved by grace through faith and not by obedience to man made or heavenly made laws. If you tell Jesus that you are mandated to wear trousers at camp, He will NEVER tell you to disobey statutory authorities. This is truth but many Christians think they can impress God by intransigence. You miss it girl. Big time. |
