Putin is a man with no sound economic foresight! While Putin is busy showing off his war arsenals like the North Korean dictator does; average Russians are living on the fringes of poverty and oligarchs run the country; China ( her close neighbour) has succeeded in building herself into both an economic and military behemoth. Although for now, both Russia and China are allies united against what they perceive as common enemies, when the chips are down, China will not go to war with Russia because China's first rule of thumb is non interference in other country's political, geopolitical affairs. Remember the 1969 Sino-Soviet border war? The Chinese haven't forgotten. And neither have they forgotten how parts of Dalian, and also how Russia, through subtle chicanery wanted to claim Harbin for herself in the past. If Russia dares go to with America, her military would be weakened. Who can tell the Chinese wouldn't seize the opportunity to reclaim the land she lost to Russia in the past? Russia should be more weary of China than the United States.
Russia would never become an economic powerhouse. I think they've settled into the regional power class. The large arsenal of nuclear weapons is bragging rights but they need to get better at AI and robotics where they may be lagging behind.

Nigeria did a similar thing in the Niger Delta. We need to wait and see how it works.

I agree. I forgot there were live weapons training already done. That's good news. So they are ready to be pressed in service. Thanks

Mounted, not necessarily integrated. Integration is a software thing. It is laptop based work on the computers inside the aircraft and then the mounting.

I am just wondering whether the final integrations won't be done in Nigeria or not

It would seem Nigerian Army apparently already settled on a good choice - H125M (AS350) Ecureuil chopper. This was two/three years ago

They have acquired 2 nos of this chopper according to the ex Army Chief Buratai then.

HAL contract is only for training more basic pilots for NA.

I expect the NA will increase the nos of their helicopter holdings with this new supplementary budget.

PoliticsRe: 2023: Youths Begin Search For Buhari’s Successor by RiceProducers: 12:41pm On Jul 13, 2021
Most Nigerian youths are brainless and lacking in depth. Even the term " youth " to them means only "westernized" and "social media active". There is a lack of articulationary capacity to broaden the scope of the message to cover young adults not living in Lagos, Phc, Ibadan, Abuja and a few other large cities. Some even narrow the application of the term to graduates of higher institutions.

You cannot do anything worthwhile with parochial attitudes and small ideas.
You will always fail.
Think, expand your scope and articulate a vision that all Nigerians below 45 from all walks of life buy into.

90% correct as to their approach to life.
I however don't think Amaechi is smarter than Buhari. Buhari's smartness has some depths to it that comes only with age and many years of operating in public life.
Buhari has measured the full extent of the Nigerian collective mind and he is contemptuous of it.

Hmmmmm it's no longer surprising that this present adminstration have completely lost it. It's plain and very unexplainable stupidity on the part of these thieving leaders to budget a whopping 4billion plus just to track call and other stuffs they intend that the NIA should monitored. My question therefore is "is this what this country needs at this time? My answer is capital NO. 4.88billion will go a very long ways to upgrade one or two teaching hospitals in Nigeria if well managed but what do we have? A government who is hell-bent on making itself a "monitoring spirits" to it's citizens.
Just a question, are you a terrorist?. If you are not, then what is your problem?
They are acquiring suites of technologies to give holistic pictures of the crime and terrorism space. What is wrong with that?
Don't you know people who know people whose relatives have been kidnapped?

These acquisitions will at least give national security apparatus the capabilities to respond faster. It does not stop agitations and social activism. Just do everything in the open and don't take money and sponsorship from foreign agents. If you get donations locally, declare them.

WhatsApp has end to end encryption. What that means is that the first time you send someone a WhatsApp message, both devices share encryption keys. This is what will be used in encrypting the messages and the only device that can decrypt it must have the encryption key for that purpose.

Anyone who has the means to decrypt end to end encrypted messages might well be the richest man in the world overnight.

There is a reason most developed countries control the export of cryptographic technology.

DPI could try to figure out the kind of data being transmitted in the packet but to tell what was transmitted is currently impossible especially when encryption is involved even given the latest improvements in computation.

So anyone who sold FG the idea, that they can intercept and read WhatsApp message is a crook.
Nobody sold the idea to the FG. There are Isreali companies reaping billions selling these Techs to governments.
It is not a scam. It works.

A very good development.

This is done to ensure that criminals are tracked and captured to face the law, nothing is wrong with it.

But the challenge is that a clever person can avoid this by simply using voip app, gps emulator and as well as obfuscating IMEI information on the hardware and sending the law enforcers to wrong course.

No system is perfectly secure.
These equipment will crack those too.

Bro it is crystal clear, beyond rhetoric and hate-mongering against the North, that it is only SW leaders who have a clear understanding of what needs to be done politically and legislatively to make Nigeria more successful.

I.e a nation that will be more fair , more productive and with more opportunities for every individual, State and region to make progress commensurate with their talent, natural endowment and political will.
It is childish and un_astute to think that Nigeria has the financial means or social stability to effect the commendable recommendations from SW governors.
It is the best so far BUT there is no money.

I have said it many times that Nigeria probably needs N100Tr over 10 years to effect administrative restructuring alone. N5Tr every year to manage security challenges of the implementation of overzealous mob-actions from people interpreting the new structure in their own way and seeking revenge or positional advantages.

Restructuring or breakup is a pipe dream. File it somewhere until the economy improves or a better generation than today's youth grows into maturity.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Alters Nigeria Profoundly: Obasanjo by RiceProducers: 4:51pm On Jul 11, 2021
Buhari has changed Nigeria irreversibly. He has brought depth to economic growth via his investments in infrastructure. He has made social investment a key plank of economic policy and poverty will slowly reduce. Nigeria has now completely diversified from oil and gas (albeit with some pains). National strategic industries like steel, Refineries and fertilizer are set to experience rebirth.

Yes if you are a lazy young person living in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Owerri and Port Harcourt, your perception of the world around you has been colored by 16 years of PDP decadence and money for nothing.
You are not important and you will feel the pain of no more rice smuggling, textile importation from Dubai and easy unexecuted contracts from government ministries....oh I hear bunkering is still booming so ND youths who are lazy can at least go there.
Generally your future is bleak if you cannot morph with the times

When Buhari leaves, there will be tangible things he will leave and it would be a BIG shame to a lot of past administrations

Two completely different issue here and you are trying very erroneously to merge the two.

Not sure why, but l will indulge you today.

The Megalomaniac Nnamdi does not have overwhelming support, he makes a lot of noise with a few misguided and ill informed and on many cases poorly educated supporters.

I have not seen anybody from the Igbo elite giving him support, l have not seen any elected official from state to Federal level give him support. Nnamdi cannot win a Senate seat In a free and fair election.

By talking about him so much your giving assumed credibility to a person who has none.

Book haram are still alive and kicking and have been for the past 10 years. All the election promises PMB made he had fulfilled next to nothing.

The Nigerian nation is in its worst state of insecurity since it's inception. Our security infrastructure has FAILED COMPLETELY.

There is absolutely nothing to celebrate we are facing an existent crisis across the nation.
The security infrastructure is failing in predictable and explicable ways.
The oil market crashed, recession came and COVID19 dislocated everything in a region where AIQM, ISWAP, Boko Haram and herder farmer tensions are active.

What has worsened things is this spate of unemployed youth up North copycatting what happened during the Niger Delta crisis which made millionaires and billionaires of militants and criminals alike.

The failure of response institutions is due to the failure of local government system and security architecture presence at rural and semi urban areas.

What is causing great anger and very hard response by the FG is that secessionist groups think the state is weak. That Nigeria has been weakened by the Boko Haram, banditry and EndSARS and so government will beg and negotiate Nigerian sovereignty.

Very big mistake. May you not learn the hard way and waste your young lives for nothing.

Go and have a chat with Kanu where ever he is now. He has broken more than Nigerian laws and he will pay very dear.

This is how things play out;

DSS will release the 12 people. They already have all they need from them.

There will be formal charges filed against Igboho and an 'invitation' to DSS or Police HQ based on information found in his people's call logs, interrogation of his people et.c

Igboho 'may' try to escape or ignore the invitation.

Igboho becomes 'wanted'.

If other enemies of Nigeria morph into something like them, they would be meeting same fate. I say it again NK feels lucky that Nigeria was magnanimous and that Buhari is not the Saudi King OR Putin. Kanu won't be consuming oxygen now otherwise. Ask him, he knows he should be dead.
For every young fool daring this country, just read its history.

It would interest many to know that ipob, following the directive of the blessed Nnamdi Kanu, has appointed Simon Ekpa as the leader of Radio Biafra.

Simon Ekpa comes to the fold with a good wealth of military knowledge, as he served in the Finland Army.

I, personally, I'm happy that a military person would be responsible for giving directives to the Esn commanders on ground. So, whether the blessed Nnamdi Kanu is dead or alive, that shithole called Nigeria, will be destroyed.

The fulani terrorists headed by the terrorist in chief, Muhammadu Buhari, actually thinks he and his band of terrorists can muscle everyone into submission. Like I said, we are planning something big.
Wait for it.
If you commit acts of terrorism, Nigeria will hunt you down like a rabid dog and prosecute you to the highest limits within the law.
Ask your idol NK. His greatest relief now was that he was not killed during the 8hours to 8 days that he was in custody before being shipped to Nigeria.
You dare Nigeria?. This country has buried its worst enemies. For IPOB, Boko Haram and bandits, maybe death is too merciful
