He has a lot of work to do first on her, before the marriage. Word damages, word can rebuild, albeit with time.

Dude needs physical,spiritual, thereputic healing for his wife.

I recommend he reports he gets both himself and his wife a counselor and then a spiritual aauthirity she won't take offense if he tables the matter to, to help the healing process. If she finds cause to regain her spark in the marriage, then She'll come out of the shock and better. Otherwise the woman in question is to shocked by the event to want to find pleasure and joy again in the relationship. And God help him she isn't planning something beneath the niceities. Dude got himself served big time.

Dude has to start all over. The previous marriage ended with those words.

He was the one that said not so nice things to hurt the wife.. And he was now the one feeling really hurt and remorseful... Listen, I've had firsthand experiences. I've said horrible things to my gf and she's said unbelievable things to me as well... All in moments of anger. My mum has said things she should never say to me before, she was very angry. But beyond all of these, I know these people love me because they've proved that.. And I love them as well. One moment of unwholesomness is not enough to wreck a relationship, not to talk of a marriage.
So her husband got angry and said bad things to her, what is the best thing for her to do? Sulk over it all year?

There are differences between a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship and a marriage..

A girlfriend can always leave u without bathing an eyelid..without a sideways glance.. but with marriage, it's a different kettle of fish.. before leaving there are things to put under consideration.

What I'm trying to say is that a girlfriend might leave immediately she heard that she was a second best.. a gamble.. "not what I wanted kinda girl but what can I do"..

But an already married wife can't... Because a lot of things are considered..She will be left destroyed emotionally.. it will be on her mind for the rest of her life.. but a girlfriend will leave to go and find who will put her first..I believe u are buying what i'm trying to sell to u.

Even u my friend, how will you feel after getting married ur wife tells u he was in love with David.. That he was tall, handsome, loving and have a straight teeth.. that He was her first choice and she loved him..only that David was not ready for marriage .. That assuming he was, u wouldn't have seen her underwear.. Are u gonna sit and tell me that it won't affect u in any way?

When u guys are typing to be macho, try your best to put others under consideration.. What the OP said was BAD. There wasno excuse about that.

It was the landlord's fault that this whole drama is happening in the first place..U can't just build a house for commercial purposes and deliberately ignore the necessary things needed by the tenants..

Ask the landlord or whoever is the middleman between u and the landlord to provide a line for the premises.. He/she was the reason why this was happening..

Bro this is from me to you.. There are people in this world that got acid mouths. Oh!! When they open it a little, it can divide the red sea.. and u are one of them unfortunately

Killing someone does not necessarily mean using gun or knife.. U have destroyed her self confidence man.. Try and keep your tongue in check in future man..

As for the present situation, maybe you have done enough begging and pleading. Time for action.. U have done your courtship and u know what she likes.. start with that.. she might act like she doesn't want it but keep on doing it still..also give her a little time and space to breathe and think ... She will come around.

In my opinion, taking this case to a third party will further humiliate her the more because that person will like to know what you were fighting about and what you said that made her so upset .. and u can't trust the person not to say it to another person... That will give them a weapon on what to hold against her should there be any misunderstanding between herself and whoever it was that you told..

On a lighter note bro I will suggest that you buy chewing stick in future and keep at home.. if she does or says something that upsets U, and u can't leave the house at that point, and u know that if u opened your mouth, it will shut the whole thing down, just pick up one of the chewing stick and start chewing.. That will keep you mouth in check grin

Haha.. The wife is insensitive. .. It was just a harmless gesture from the mother... He is just an only child.. she was trying to adjust to the fact that the home is empty.. Assuming she had other children and was doing that, trust me I would have ignored this thread..

I hope this will not be the case but I foresee an entitled couple that will take an advantage of the woman when the kids starts rolling out..

They will dump their kids @ her house and go on their various business.. She will be happy to look after them.. but the day she didn't, the daughter inlaw will feel she has altered her well planned business and there will be coldwar.. That's how some insensitive people act.. and the daughter inlaw already got the 'insensitive virus'

Many parents that got an only child will be conversant with this.. Some will be tempted to do this, Others will be calling on phone nonstop just to hear their voice... because the house looks deserted.. too many echoes around the house etc.. She's just being a mother.. She will adjust with time .. It is not easy for any parent that got an only daughter.. especially on her wedding day.. sons are a little bearable when they got married and were out of the house..

It's unfortunate the son married a possessive brat who thinks the mother inlaw got an ulterior motives.. This sh!t is not even supposed to be a problem in a situation where the wife takes the mother inlaw as her own mother

This Spiritual Head and Tail thing sounds more like a headache.

That is why I like the parable of the talent in the scripture. In that little passage, it was written that the Lord gave each and every one of them what they are capable of.. He gave out 5 talent; 3 talent; and 1 talent.
Any analyst could ask but why didn't he give them the same talent to level the field of play? He gave them based on what they can do...

In my opinion ( since everyone is entitled to theirs) if u are a father, forget about this label thing and work with your partner.. If she's good in taking care of the kids, don't say oh! I am the spiritual head.. blah blah blah... Just channel your energy to another aspect that can benefit the family.. If u are finding it difficult financial wise, seek help from your wife.. let her work and provide / support u.. Don't die because they said u were the spiritual head, the provider and other bla bla bla..

There are men that are "all rounder".. they can be everywhere.. and they can do all things... from praying to taking care of the kids to being a handy man. It works for them and their families.. If u are not like that, don't force yourself into doing what you cannot do in the name of being a spiritual head.. Look for what works for you and your family.. If u can't handle a toolkit, look for handyman that can fix your taps, electrical faults etc and pay them.. By doing that u have reduced your chance of finding yourself in the hospital.. u have also provided for someone whose livelihood depends on that work.
The bottom line is having a peaceful family and creating an atmosphere where children respects their parents.. and not a sergeant major's home..

If every man is gonna follow through everything written up there, I don't think a man's livespan will be up to 40 if he should marry at 29.

What triggered this whole thing was it not the police that went to African foreign nationals businesses searching for fake goods? And when the foreign nationals prevented them, The illiterate ones feel like they now have to do the work of the police by harassing the foreigners. Was it not the reason why the Tanzanian national killed the Taxi driver

IF the police were truly interested in stopping illegal and fake products why didn't they stop it from entering into the their country?
In the whole world, there's a race known for producing and selling of fake products.. I guess U don't expect me to mention it.. why didn't they go to them? Why were they not able to conduct the same search at their shops? Are they not part of foreign nationals?

In terms of drug dealers, Yes there are drug dealers but what has that got to do with burning up to 100 cars that belongs to an innocent foreigner that even employed many south Africans.. most of those shops burnt down that belongs to foreign nationals got South African citizen who earns a living there.. This senseless act, is it gonna create more job or increase unemployment?

So in your own argument people that have the culture of community vigilante has the tendency of looting what was not there's in times of crisis? ... they do what the police cannot do by stealing from other people's sweat and livelihood right?

All they should have done is approach the foreigners who are doing legal businesses to teach them on how to progress business wise.. instead of bringing envy and Jealousy within themselves

If it will make your wife unhappy as a couple at home.. just be matured about it and let her buy for herself only (ie if u guys are using joint account.. ) but if u people are operating a separate account then tell her to buy it herself that you don't mind..... I don't think she would have insisted if it were to be your own family... I'm guessing that she wants to save face..

Any time u are coming back from work or wherever, just get her those little things like banana, peppermint, biscuits, chocolate sweet, egg roll etc.. it doesn't take much to impress kids.. as u are handing those over to her, make sure you are carrying her. Don't let your wife give her that on your behalf. If u are the type that doesn't keep soft drink at home, then start.. Say on a Saturday, bring out a bottle of Fanta.. Sit down and ask her to come. I bet u she will glue herself at your lap until that drinks finishes.. Dads' spoils their daughters.. your case will not be different.. within 2 months of this method, u will be the one that will be tired of holding her..

As she turned 6,7 or 8 yrs, u turn the bribe into negotiations.. go and do your home work or no chocolate sweet.. if u don't do this, I won't take u to the park or wherever her interest lies.. In fact u will be her number 1 well wisher.. super hero dad.. Though I wish that kids comes with manual.. so that one will know what to do..

Please drop that stupid notions about her not being your blood.. are u indirectly questioning your wife's fidelity... Some of the things I read here on NL makes me question people's level of maturity before marriage... especially when they are trying to fish when there's no pond...more like fishing on a swimming pool.
