You are being a manager and that's what managers do.. They keep the best by their side.. Make sure he is ok in terms of workload and all that. pay him right and deligate more challenging role to him so that he can advance career wise.. but keep him by your side. this got nothing to do with heart feelings.. you can't let your best and trusted employee go.. but a lot of people will not understand you. only the mature minded would..

@ Bold......It is not everyone that is fortunate enough to have mother and Father in Nigeria... If it was so, then there won't be orphanages in the country.... have you ever thought of those kids that grow up in the orphanage home, what becomes of them when they grow up and gets married? who drinks their wine or took their dowry because as far as I know, not all of them get adopted.

Also, It is not everyone that is fortunate enough to get married the proper way? some started as living in boy friend and Girl friend before kids started coming.. and they automatically became couple.. Or has things changed so much in the country that everyone now gets married and pay dowry? I stand to be corrected though.

Let us look at Nigerian population, how many numbers were single ladies in Nigeria? So Out of those single ladies population, u saw her, chose her, had a relationship with her, and decided to marry her.. I will suggest that you let the sleeping dog lie.. Don't use your hands to invite third parties into your marriage. It will make the marriage over crowded. U have already started listening to friends telling u that your wife may or may not has slept in her mother's house.. U are simply inviting trouble for yourself and your relationship if u keep up with telling however that cares to listen what was transpiring at your home... U know your Wife better than anyone that was trying to sow a seed of discord between you two. Be careful. I think I'm done. Have a wonderful day.

If this was what really happened, then you married a first class brat sorry to say it aloud.I don't know the word to use because it's annoying .. She should be very happy that she met and married a level headed guy who has the decency to apologise to her even when you were not wrong.. I don't know why I have the feeling that you were always quick to apologise that's why she was always waiting for it.

Just being curious, was that an Oxford or Cambridge exams that she went to write?

She must be really really beautiful for u to take this nonsense.. I don't know if u truly know the meaning of locking someone out deliberately. It means whatever happened to u, I don't care. U deserve what comes to u.. just so you know. U can take all the crap but don't take when someone wants to in danger your life in the name of love.

I will suggest that you sit her down and let her know that the sun those not rise and set because she said so.. In a cool but steady voice let her know that you will never tolerate that kinda behaviour especially the one of locking u outside.. After saying that storm inside the bedroom, take your car keys and drive to the ocean, river or stream. Water has a way of calming people down.. Don't go to the bar..

If she doesn't apologise when u get back, Ignore her to register your displeasure... If she serves u food eat it, after eating wash the plate yourself without a word...For the first time, this situation warrant 1 day of silent treatment.. let her initiate the talking this time around.. Don't jump into talking to her yet and observe what her reactions would be. If she apologises, take it immediately. If she doesn't ignore her and observe her some more.
This is how to Educate a brat who thinks the world revolves around her.

Also try and make another copy of the house keys.

Pls I need sane advice from the wise people of this forum. Have been having disturbing thoughts In my heart about celibacy theory that has been preached since generations, I am one of those guys who say abstinence until marriage but am having doubts.

I would feel honestly cheated if I abstain from the pleasures of sex all my life only to get married to a woman isn't a virgin herself, a woman who has never thought of abstinence, a woman who will have lots of other people to compare me with.

People say that we should let God direct who we are to marry, but have forgotten God does accordingly to what support his own plans alone and am no sure he carries man's own desire in it. I feel God can give a virgin a non-virgin and say that is the Best for him, and I always felt these sorts of things are cheating.

We are in a lawless generation, and sex is cheap to get as water, I honestly don't know if I should continue with my abstinence philosophy or flow with the times cause I know how scarce it is to get a virgin partner. Almost every girl has slept with their boyfriends in the name of love, and In the end don't get married to them, for an example the case of the babcock girl who recorded a sex video with her psycho path boyfriend having doggy and swallowing his sperm, she already broke up with him and am sure she was hoping to find a God fearing man( idiots) with no experience who will think he found a good wife and treat her like a queen after another psycho path made her his bitch.

I am honestly having doubts in my heart and I don't even know if this is where to post this. Please i need sane advice only.thanks

I might be wrong though but I don't know why I think that you don't sound like a virgin to me.. What is so special about marrying a virgin? Some people can be virgins but after getting married they decide to throw caution to the wind and became promiscuous. that's what few people tagged as carryover...

I believe these are the reasons people do abstinence they wait until they feel ready for a sexual relationship; wait to find the right partner; enjoy their partner’s company without having to deal with a sexual relationship; focus on school, their job, or hobbies; follow their personal, moral, or religious beliefs and values and follow their doctor’s advice during or after a sickness, infection, or medical procedure.

So if anyone does not feel like doing all these, no need to judge them.

Oh! no.. This is so sad.. Such an experience you had.. I could imagine the self guilt you must have faced.. I know there are so many types of scam online but a suicide attempt isn't something I overlook.. If you see the way I was insaulted on nairaland the day I tried creating a thread to help someone who was threatening to go suicide ehn, you would have pity on me... You got it.. The guilt was written all over me and that NYSC certificate during that period. I was kinda inexperienced when it comes to things like that.. I still feel it a little guilty up till now.. Expecially when I read or watch on TV over someone that committed suicide. His
face will flash quickly and disappears..

That's the hidden guilt I will carry for the rest of my life. That is why I don't judge anyone. Even if it's a scam no body is stupid enough to be throwing hard earned cash around. Wait for the scammer to say that he/she wanted money before you judge.. or know what to say to him..I don't know when people became so unfeeling..

This guy might be really troubled.. and needed an urgent therapist but the kids up there has already used two legs to jump to conclusion.

Let me tell you about what happened to me towards the end of my NYSC days. I was posted to a secondary school in Bayelsa state ie about 11 years ago or so..

There was this kid in SS2 who doesn't talk to anyone. The first day I entered into that class, I was shocked to see him.. why? because he looked 97% like my best friend in high school. Every thing except that my friend was not unhappy and doesn't have a permanent frown on his face... just a copy of him when we were kids..

I picked up interest on him. He got no friend, he doesn't know his father, his mother selfishly married and abandoned him to his uncle. His uncle hated him because he was a burden to him. He beats him at will.. every slight provocation.. not normal beating sometimes with iron..

I wanted to talk to his uncle my fellow Corpmembers told me not to.
So I became his dad. I will cook and give him.I wI'll ask him to come during break because we were living in the school premises. . . Some of my colleagues usually joke and ask me why didn't I tell them I had a son in Bayelsa.. I didn't know the state of his depression until one day.

I was invigilating the silly WAEC of the school. He came to me that he wants to talk. I told him I was busy that he should go home that we will talk on Monday. That was on a Friday. He left I didn't see him again because on Saturday, he killed himself. I regretted invigilating that silly exams that day.. I would have listened to what he wanted to say to me. So Any time I hear of 'I want to die', my mind would flash back to that kid.6

My brother, depression is the word for it. Many people around the globe spent money on a therapist. Some rich people that u see, u would be asking, this person that got it all why is he/she depressed? Besides How many average Nigerians can afford one. You have seen how he was being judged already when he hasn't said anything.. when I was on Facebook long ago, I have seen

The reason why I was encouraging him was because I don't want to keep quiet when nature has given most of us persuasive skills. It's not only when we see women/men that persuasive skills comes to play. We can always tell him not to do it.. and it won't cost anything.

I have a feeling you were not. That is why I'm telling you now not to do anything silly like taking your life. No situation should be bigger than you. U are bigger than any challenge you might be facing.

I don't know why you were feeling depressed. I don't want to know about it because it could be private but I want you to know that someone has seen it, passed through it and came out of it with flying colours.

If it is unemployment situation do not loose hope. Just keep on applying, Though for now it might look like the hiring managers doesn't care enough to hire you. But one day, u will find someone who might like what you were offering. Just calm down and be patient..

I don't know where you are living around the world but I want to give you an assignment. Could you please take a trip to any government hospital today or early in the morning tomorrow please.

When you get there, just ask the nurses to tell or direct you where the accident ward of the hospital is. Volunteer and speak to some of the accident victims please.. or HIV ward.. Then u can decide to do anything that you want after my assignment. I would have referred you to palliative care unit. But most times they don't allow visitors. Just boldly letting u know that I love you buddy and I care.

Maybe u should look really really deep.. u could find something that is worth living for..

It could be a small smile from a little kid who couldn't tell u that you were his hero that u makes his day, It could be that old grandmother who has no one to say hello to her,but u were always greeting her. And she was always forward to seeing u every now and then. it could be family, it could be the fact that you were healthy and u are taking it for granted. Some people in the hospital would basically like to be like u.

If u go now, what about your family? for example your mum who nursed u to maturity.. Don't be selfish man.. Don't think that your departure won't affect any one...There's light at the end of the tunnel..

I am a believer that every man has a woman destined for him. So your selfishness is gonna make the lady wherever she is in ability to have her soul mate. How would you feel if u hear from the great beyond due to your selfishness that your soul mate is in a fight with another woman over a man when u would have been here to take care of things.

Imo, Enugu, Anambara, Abia, Ebonyi..

If u were residing in Imo and someone tells u that in ABC hospital in Ebonyi state, it's #60. Are u gonna go to that state without considering the cost of fuel/ transportation.
