Asari is a disgrace to the people he represents. |
OP, I score you zero. The only thing Techno has over a BlackBerry is the price. Cheap! A lot of Techno users suffer from self esteem issues. I can tell from continous baseless comparison with BlackBerry on nairaland that they have a strong passion for others to commend them for making a better choice in phones. Phone for Christ's sake! COMMON GUYS, it is just a phone, not an extention of your self esteem. Unless, if some of these techno fans do have some serious issues which I strongly recommend they go and see a shrink asap. Some of you need to grow up. BTW, your analysis is so biased it is laughable. |
Life is all about the moments that take our breath away. I LOVE THIS! |
Outsourcing in Nigeria is poorly implemented. Companies see it as an opportunity to get cheap labour at little or no risk. The write up is similar to what obtains in other industries. I have seen cases of " double- outsourcing ". A company outsourced, the outsourcing company still outsourced to another. Unfortunately, this the direction all businesses are going. Due to the terrible unemployment situation, Companies in Nigeria get away with all sort of terrible things. You will not be far from the truth if we find out that somebody, somewhere, takes close to 30% out of the money access bank pays for these staffs. Also, the people in HR sometimes take kick backs from this outsourcing firms, so they mgt may not have a true picture of things. Let us all speak up. I salute the courage of Teller. |
Why is it that outsourced staffs in Nigeria all have similar issues? In all the industries, be it, banking, telecommunications, oil and gas, manufacturing etc out sourced staffs are not treated fairly. I learnt outsourcing allows more jobs to be created and business to grow faster. But I don't like the idea of enslaving people and that is exactly the picture I get from this business strategy. Or, is it just a Nigerian thing? The idea of having people work for a company but an outsourcing firm is completely responsible for their risk creates a loop hole in staffs welfare. I will be glad if professionals in the house can explain this business strategy and why it has only lead to poor staff welfare in Nigeria. |
University education is wasted on all that are happy to be called members of this association The fact that you want to be associated with such a ridiculous thing makes you completely unemployable. In fact, you all deserve your certificates to be withdrawn. Please look closely around you, there is something to be done, or services to be improved upon. In most cases you need very little start up capital. Just a few days ago the governor of Lagos state said close to 3billion naira is spent on parties in just three LGA in the state? He gave examples of the amount of wine that was consumed monthly in Lagos alone. In most cases these wine were imported, has anyone thought about growing the seeds used and approaching NBL, Guniness or Coca-Cola for partnership? Osun state launched opon imo, have all the programmers and computer science and IT graduates thought of selling the same idea to their respective states? I know someone that repackaged the car wash business in one of the " O " states and started smiling to the bank. Everyday, when I go out, I see numerous things that can be done. I was once in Osogbo and had phone issues, practically everyone directed me to just one guy and when I got there, I had to stay on a que. He collected 1k and fixed my phone in less than 30mins. He made close to 10k while I was there. I left thinking some unemployed graduates are in Osun thinking there is no job when a guy is practically monopolizing smart phone repair in the same town in a small shop. My wife learnt how to do makeup and costumes in less than two months after leaving law school, now she charges 70k per job and she gets at least three jobs monthly. The jobs are there, but not in the office. What our society needs is people with skills that addresses issue or service delivery. Look, think, be ready to start small and to get your hands dirty. There are no more office jobs. You all need to wake up from this useless dream. |
Nigerian graduates are completely missing the point. The effort you all are putting into this can be channeled into starting a legit business. Imagine the talent pool that is readily available. University education has failed completely in Nigeria if all our graduates can think of is starting an association like this. |
passion007: Are we really this bruised and battered? There is no airport in Osogbo and the one being built at Ido Osun is till at excavation stage. |
Sagamite: EXACTLY!Case closed. You have intelligently let Deols understand what motivates these savages. |
ITbomb: Something as specific as a messenger from a particular platform should be gotten only from the owners . Why the rush?Well said |
ewizard1: My ToT...Are u using free data? BIS subscribers drop, data subscription on other platforms rises. |
We lost our first game to Angola. The Tigress may pick a ticket to the world cup but they won't win the championship |
playboy19: Thank you for pointing out these to us. We probably didn't know before now. However, he asked a very valid question which u didn't answer. In case u missed the question, I'll quote it below. You are asking a political jobber to be objective, it can never happen in this part of the world. He deliberately avoided that question. He will soon tag you a hater and APC thug or bokoharam. These government apologists on nairaland are as wicked as the leaders they defend. THEY ALL HAVE NO CONSCIENCE |
Your phone is not an extension of your self esteem. Make your choice and let others make theirs. It is absolutely immature people that will open a thread about a product they hate to rubbish it and people that may want to buy it. |
brosun: All the sentiments expressed so far really touch my heart, but one question that continues to bother me is: where were these now agitating family members when their brother was sentenced to two weeks imprisonment with an option of a N5,000 fine? Could they all not have come together to raise the fine? It's like the scenario of a mad man who is left wandering in the streets, howling monogues at the sky. The day he gets accidentally knocked down by a vehicle is the day you'd know he has an 'owner'! Believe me, their brother would have appreciated this solidarity more when he was alive than now when he is no more. Now they're busy spending transport fare and buying petrol to go to Benin Prisons. Those monies could have salvaged their brother from all this in the first place. We pay less interest in the affairs of others, especially when they're poor. No one wants to come near a poor man. A rich man is everybody's friend! Only poor men (and women) die like this. Sad. Sad. Sad... I still commend the family members though for raising their voices. This is Nigeria. Like most projects in it, I only hope this one too will not fail...God bless you. |
Thank God, I only eat flat transparent kpomo, the best. |
The operating environment in Nigeria is not a s friendly as we all assume it is. Most of these operators have not even rolled out 3G in all the major cities across Nigeria, so 4G LTE is still a couple of months away. Although, some have already done preliminary tests for 4G LTE on sample sites in Nigeria. The reason it is easy to roll out services in developed country is because there is a very good fibre network everywhere and that is the most reliable way of delivering high speed Internet. Slowly but surely we will get there |
Realdeals: When Nigeria hosted the U20 world cup in 1999, former FIFA vice president Jack warner who led FIFA inspection team describe the National Stadium in Lagos as the 8th wonders of world because of its facilitiesHe didn't call it the 8th wonder of the world because of its facilities, he said so because just three months earlier, the stadium was in such a terrible state when they visited that they all believed it is not possible for it to be ready for the tournament. Miraculously, it was ready before the opening ceremony, hence the term " 8th wonder of the world " |
Good question. Doctors in the house should please educate us. |
claremont: The MODs need to do their job and sanitise this thread, it has obviously been taken over by a bunch of kids.My thoughts exactly. He needs to be as popular as Lady Gaga, Elton John etc to pull that off. Sold out kor, sold in ni |
Dunexxx: Hate all you like, I'm sexier than all you niggs hatin'.Real men don't use " sexy ". Ladies do |
If I meet anyone that speaks my language with an accent, it simply tells me the individual probably understands another language I don't. |
Is Lagos government state now equivalent to the Federal Government ? I have noticed Lagos state government is the only one people compare to the FG, as if Lagos is expected to do everything the FG can do. Lagos state is definitely doing something right, otherwise, there should be no basis for comparing a state to the FG |
kandiikane: I was just about to mention this. My grandma told me too. She said when you're falling I.e from a cliff and you see yourself hit the ground you will die. She said if your time nor reach your body responses by jerking and waking you up.How did the your grandma figure out the kind of dream that kills? Did the dead wake up to narrate what happened? |
ifenadi: It is not always right to rush into a question that seems so simple. It is always advisable to read the question severally within few seconds and think before you answer. A simply question generally should have a simple answer, don't try to be over smart."How do you put an elephant in a fridge?" ,is not a simple question because I don't know the answer. Heck! I don't think I know the answer to 1+1 anymore. Pls tell us how to put an elephant in the fridge. |
olowodaran: young man it is not by force to comment if you don't know anything, there were massive transformation during agagu administration ranging from bore holes to road construction, he is beta dan late adefarati who ruled before him and mimiko who ruled after him and still ruling, his wife funke agagu also help by donating to orphanages, money, rice, g.Oil etc. Agagu is good. King Sunny Ade should be on the list! |
Kwarans made a terrible mistake by allowing Saraki senior to impose his son Bukola on the state. The Saraki's have successfully transferred ownership of Kwara from father to son by allowing Bukola to keep a figurehead governor in Kwara ( Fatai Ahmed) Nothing is happening in Kwara and the few infrastructures are being named after Bukola or the father. Kwara house of assembly passed a law before Bukola left office, THE state will pay Bukky salary until he dies and they are using state funds to build a billion Naira mansion for him in GRA. Kwarans need to wake up! |
I saw this coming. What incompetence are they talking about? NANS is now a tool for politicians. |
flakkygirl: how about you give her this line. 'sure, i'll log in but first how about you share some of your sex life with me first cos my profile is personal to me as well and i'll lik to decide with whom i share it.' that will be very polite or wat do u think?Wrong answer. |
