Crime › Re: Man Arrested For Duping Facebook Girlfriend Of N850, 000 by rman: 1:44pm On May 18, 2013
jaystunt: When it dawned on the girl that the
suspect, who came back the second
day to collect the money, was about
to dupe her she reportedly contacted
men of the civil defence who came to
invite the suspect for questioning.

So when actually did Fraudster collect this 850k? This whole piece just doesn't add up.
Thanks for pointing it out. It became muddled up for me too when I read that part.
Food › Re: My Food Tastes Funny - Please Advise by rman: 1:29pm On May 18, 2013
oyin50: Nadia u do not know how to cook because u 'r not interested in knowing how to cook.
At last, someone that knows exactly why the OP'S food get burnt or tastes bad. SHE IS NOT INTRESTED IN COOKING.

Why help someone that is not really interested in knowing how to cook?

Forget about her opening a thread, she even wrote that she chats when cooking, and left a pot on the stove and left for class and forgot throughout her lectures until she returned. Who does that? Didn't she go hungry and remembered her food on the stove?

OP is not genuinely interested in knowing how to cook. She has tasted food from other ladies ( friends and family) , and knows something is wrong with hers. She should seek help from those first, instead of coming to a social forum.

OP should get into the kitchen with a genuine interest in what she is cooking/doiing and more than half of her cooking problems is solved.

This is what goes on in the entire country!!!!

A corper serving in OYO state told me how shocked she was when WAEC started.

In fact abnormality is now normal and it is only a few schools that do the proper thing ( allowing students to write the exam based on what the students know) .

When a lot of students came to complain on the JAMB thread, I could tell by the comments, those that cheated and those that studied hard to pass. More than 90% on that thread were not happy because they cheated and still failed.

I give kudos to GEJ for this declaration.

Kano and Bauchi should be monitored carefully too.
Phones › Re: BlackBerry To Launch BBM For Android & iOS Mobile Platforms by rman: 7:10pm On May 14, 2013
Rudebwoy: You can decide who u chat with by blocking those u don't want.

whatsapp is better than bbm, i use both. file sharing is immediate on whatsapp and it delivers faster than bbm.

Whatsapp will also show u when a user was last online which bbm does not do.
The only thing Whatsapp doess better than BBM is the cross platform function, BBM is more clourfull, delivers all you mentioned better (IMO), and no one has developed a better chat platform till now.

Anyway, I think Blackberry knows BBM is the only thing spectacular about their phone ( Z10 is good but came late to the party)
Allowing BBM to become cross platform may be a wise bussiness decision because Whatsapp is the biggest chat platform world wide.

So, why not make the best available for everyone? This is sad news for whatsapp not blackberry. Blackberry is a distant 3rd, behind samsung and Iphone already.

BBM is better than WhatsApp IMO.

I don't like the idea of automatically having you as a chat buddy because you have my number and whatsapp installed on your phone.
Music/Radio › Re: Are Ladies Respected In Nigerian Music Videos? by rman: 2:57pm On May 11, 2013
@OP,

What about the ones on the street with exposed boobs and thigh? Do we also blame the society for disrespecting them?

What about your celebrities? Tiwa, Geneie, Beyonce etc , Who do you blame for that?

The female folks always look for ways to blame the scoiety for things they are solely responsible for.

FYI, some of those girls you are advocating for hussle to get into these videos.

Girls sell se.x, men and businesses realise se.x sells, everyone bought into it, and the gender that started it all wants to lay the blame on the society.

kulyie: i am in my 4os sorry 8-) and my approach to guys can never change.i am not a man ass licker, neither am i a desperado or a marriage freak, thank you cheesy
This post confirms my thoughts.

You are lonley and bitter. You may be 40,but you express yourelf like a 20yr old. Unfortunately, girls like you will continue to act like being in a relatiship with a man does not matter, but deep down, you know something is missing.

You have more than 20 posts on this thread alone all in support of a childish way of handling a simple matter. Your support of the poster is a deep rooted hatred for men.

A failed attempt at love does not make everyman evil.

You need to get over your past, or, your were not rasied in a loving caring home.
Romance › Re: How I Taught My Boastful Date A Lesson by rman: 10:13pm On May 09, 2013
Getting back at someone that hasn't done you any harm isn't smart.

Leading a guy on with the sole intention of teaching him a lesson isn't smart.

@Kulyie, when you are in your 30's, your opinion and approach to guys will be completely different. Based on your comments, I can tell you are in your 20's.

Politics › Re: Nigerians React To Aregbesola Phone Theft Judgment by rman: 7:03am On May 06, 2013
A lot of posters still go ahead to write ingonrantly even after a few posters interpreted the judgement.

Even if we can't read the artcle, a simple scroll through the first page alone should make others understand the issues.

It is not looking good for us as nation. These ignorant posters are the ones that make up the majority in Nigeria.

No wonder, everything has been turned upside down.

Politics, Eduacation, Religion, name it and you will find out Nigeria's case is the abnormal.

There is nothing political, religious, or ethnic about this case but MAJORITY still interpreted it ignorantly.

I assume nairaland is full of young people. If these are the ones we are eagerly anticipating to make positive and well informed decisions for effective change, WE SHOULD FORGET IT.

Celebrities › Re: kaffy's Mum Adviced Her To Do Prostitution by rman: 5:49pm On Apr 30, 2013
Kaffy is not a saint! You didnt get to where you are today by being a saint (I know).

A lot of posters dont know her at all.

The mum and dad are divorced when she was young and I am certain the dad is not poor.

She spent her teenage years with her unlce in surulere.

Kaffy is not from a poor family.

One thing I know about her is she always wanted to be known and popular, fortunately she can dance and was daring enough when the industry was transforming.

Kaffy, you have made a success story of yourself, a lot of people know the truth. You did not grow up with your mum and she showed little interest in you. But, you were raised in a house very few Nigerians can dream off. Granting speeches to embelish the truth wont change much now.

Unless, you were quoted wrongly, YOU NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO YOUR MOTHER.
Phones › Re: MTN Ordered To Collapse Rates For On-net And Off-net Voice Services by rman: 3:41pm On Apr 30, 2013
MTN has the cheapest on net calls? Even three times cheaper than any other operator? Unbelievable!

NCC should have made others bring their(on net calls) down instead of compelling MTN to bring off net call charges down.

Nigeria currently have close to 18,000 base stations in total ( all operators combined), MTN has more than 7000, which around 40% (estimated). Their market dominance is no fluke.

Other operators need to roll out massively,

Telecoms services is a game of numbers, you need to continously invest and expand or you will be left behind.

I think GLO's sojourn into Ghana really slowed them down here. Otherwise MTN won't give everyone so much gap. Etisalat came so late and the constantly changes of ownership in Airtel didn't help.

Don't blame MTN, blame the others for not having a superior business strategy.

10 hig wattage security light on all night
3 LED TVs on at leat 16 hours a day
3 Freezers
2 Huge fridges
Electric cooker with electric grill

And then goes to PHCN office to complain about "Crazy Bill"

Are you sure your post is for Nigeria.

24hrs uninterrupted supply from PHCN?

6 air conditioners in every household?

Your post is so lame and very poor attempt at justifying fraud

The bias is so obvious from the OP.

Calling people to help post pictures of other regions is a complete joke. If you don't have pictures that cover the entire country, why start a thread with such a title?

Only a novice won't know what the motives of the OP are

Phones › Re: Saka MAGA DON PAY By Etisalat (Picture) by rman: 5:46am On Apr 25, 2013
It will be difficult to determine which network the number your calling is on until the call is made and connected.

Calling Glo with Glo
MTN with MTN etc for those with multiple SIMS isn't necessary anymore.

No one needs more than two lines IMO.
Phones › Re: Which Network Are You Porting To/From and Why? by rman: 5:40am On Apr 25, 2013
Kenny4lyfe: You miss am my friend! I'm just a consumer like every other person who is fed up with all this Network Service Providers that are hell-bent on exploiting "Nigerians" to thier own benefit. I'm aware you should make profit in business but too much awoof dey purge belle! All thanks to NCC for giving us the power to choose. And these guys, knowing what's happening now instead of improving thier services decided to start a media frenzy in other to woo "nigerians"! But believe me when I say bro that: We Are No Fools! You've got the power now, use it wisely!
I hope and pray that the youths will show the same zeal and interest when it comes to choosing their leaders.

When it comes to networks, they weigh all the positive and negatives, when it comes to politics and voting, they quickly narrow it down to religion and ethnicity.

Denn: So many analysts here focus on sentiments rather than factual observations.

The old OS on BlackBerry was outdated. This threatened RIM's existence. BB10 was designed to correct the basic flaws on existing black berries.

BlackBerry 10 is a brand new OS with no hang over to the old system. It was built from the ground up.

Z10 (which runs on the BB10 platform) has the ability to match the average high end phone in the market. Reviews (even from critics) have been commendable. The only limitation (as with every brand new OS) is the relatively 'small' app market and little bugs that are being corrected with OTA updates...now what do you need 2 million apps for?

Multitasking, video chat via bbm, HF gaming, high end apps, voice clarity (including HD audio) , BBM chat, best touch keyboard etc are features you will find on the new z10.

how can you ridicule something you have not used or upgraded your knowledge about. Same way

gidig: I have finally come to the conclusion that some techno salesperson has decided to open a thread to promote their phone again. Let people use what suits them. We are not all kids playing games on our phones. My tablet will be android but I am not giving up my BB anytime soon. The people who make the decisions that fetch me money are also on BB. That matters to me. If you and your geek squad are techno users as well as android users, no wahala. It does not mean you are smarter-it just shows you have made a choice. creating threads every now and again to bash BB is getting very ridiculous now. Iphone users used to do that regularly until they got distracted by samsung. Grow up folks. its just a piece of equipments. its not an extension of your self esteem!
God bless you!!!
