rhymz: you seem to know them personally or have it all figured out from the way you keep making unfounded suggestive statements.Thank you for your briliant response. Most of the posters can not reason logicaly, hence they allow their emotions to do the thinking |
ehie: the guy told the truth,do u want himm to pretend?the fact is in life,we outgrow our habit, outgrow friends, even lovers and spouses,GOD BLESS YOU. Nairalanders only comment based on emotions. If what he said is the truth, I actually respect him for coming out truthfully. In most cases truth hurts. |
Another MTN thread makes the front page. MTN charm must be very strong on Nigerians. The day MTN decides to leave Nigeria, a lot of peoeple will fall sick. I think they all need to focus their negative energy on MTN to get going in life. It is a competitive market, If you don;t like MTN use another line. Even those that claim they don't use MTN can not avoid MTN threads. While some of the cases are genuine, some actually comment to join the bandwagon. By Wednesday, I expect to see another MTN thread on Nairaland FP. |
@OP, Ibadan is a cool town. Most of the important places have been mentioned on this thread. It all depends on who you are hanging with. Apart from beaches, there is nothing Lagos has to offer that you can not ge in IB. Please make sure you try the amala beside SKYE bank Bodija before you leave IB. You will thnk me later. |
Scrapy and tight game. It will end in a draw |
sexkillz: [color=#000030]It's like cocacola and Pepsi, or fanta and mirinda. . . Same thing, different packaging.I can tell the difference in taste between coke and pepsi. Same with fanta and mirinda. Cocacola has a richer cola taste compared to pepsi. It may close but there is a difference. |
pleep: Seriously, the more i look at it the more obvious it becomes that Nigerian men are idiots when it comes to women... This is why all ur chicks are golddiggers and use you like tampons. because you guys have no 3rd eye.Thank you bro |
Is truelove.com Peter or Paul Okoye? |
The OP is just stating the obvious. Why call him a hater? By the way, P-square makes the best musical videos in Nigeria. |

Gbawe: Folks like you and Afam4eva demonstrate, without even realising it, the inferiority complex and bad belle many Nigerians suffer from. If some are happy with their governor and always happy to praise and celebrate him publicly, why does that rankle folks like you to the extent you always have to begin 'd.1ck comparison' via talking of Ameachi, Akpabio and Rochas on a thread concerning Fashola?100,000,000,000 LIKES |
@OP, don't waste your time on Nairalanders, they say the opposite of what they do. They are all loyal MTN subscribers. They will give all kind of excuses why they could not change a SIM of a network they hate so much. Look at every threads carefuly and you can only see logical reasoning in less than 5% of majority responses to threads. They hate MTN but took part in their promos, They hate MTN and dont recharge their MTN line no more but when MTN had issues with their billing system that deducted credit erroneouly on peoeples phone, the thread on nairaland nearly got to 20 pages. I have been on naiaralnd for a few years and all these people cant just leave the biggest scammer in the country alone. MTN has evolved from just a GSM company to a full ICT company. They provide a lot of solutions to corporate Nigeria. Most dont know that the backbone traffic of one thier favorite network is being carried by MTN. Number portabilty won't put a dent on MTN revenue at all. None of the operators have built the kind of capacity MTN have, some can't even carry half of MTN traffic. So where are they porting to? They don't even know that MTN has the best bussiness models out of all the operators, they are always the first to reposition their company strategicaly. They are not perfect, and have their issues, but isn't seven to eight years enough for others to overtake them? Apart from Etisalat, MTN did not have 7 years head start from the others. Customer satisfaction and retention is key to bussines, but deep down, what nairalanders are asking for is just for the FG or NCC, to just put the biggest investor in Nigeria's telecom industry out of business for no reason. This MTN hatred is similar to DSTV's, Nigerians hate DSTV but won't just buy HITV or STARTIMES, or stick with free NTA, rather they will call on FG to help them out. The day any of operators run the business better and invest on their network the way MTN does, we won't require a thread or NCC, to put them out of business, it will just happen. BY THE WAY, WHAT HAPPENED TO NITEL AND MTEL? |
Omen100: Op, I have nothing to say to you unless you change that useless username of your, mtcheeeeI thought I am the only way that feels the same way about that handle. He deserves no response. |
tjskii: Mmscheeww wat r they doing opening in kwara, they shud come to ibadan jor,we seriosly need dem hereIlorin is better organized than Ibadan, maybe that is their reason. |
OBITEK, GOMOLA, FOOD AND NUT, CHUPETS, PHONE MART and the other popular sales outlets in Ilorin need to up their game now. Is it going to have a cinema? Ilorin needs one. |
...AND WE NEED JUST 10BILLION NAIRA TO FIX LAGOS IBADAN EXPRESS ROAD |
WRONG MOVE! Chelsea is going trophyless due to this move. |
@ Okija, Thank you for trying to educate these folks. Nigerians actually know how to run companies down all in the name of freebies. The choice to purchase DSTV is strictly yours. If you feel you are not getting value for money, STOP SUBSCRIBING. If we feel the business can be run better or profittably with '' pay as you go'' , rally round a company that can deliver such. SIMPLE! |
I am not in support of this move by CPC. Why? It is bad sign trying to force a particular company that offers the best services to bend to some unfair rules in a competitive market. Last time I checked we have StarTimes, GoTv, HiTv, Aand some others not known to me. Why are we now trying to arm twist DSTV? Did HiTv do same when they had the premiership rights? CPC shou;d compel FG or NBC or whoever is in charge to allow a competitive company that can deliver this ''pay as you go'' Tv to enter the market. That way, if it is indeed rich in content, DSTV will have no choice but to adjust. This is similar to our senators asking Virgin or BA to reduce business class tickets when ARIK ply the same london route. All this arm twisting is not encoraging to foreign investors. Opening up the market to a company that can deliver ''pay as you watch'' is the way to go. Going back to the MTN example: MTN had to adjust because GLO implemented per second billing and their subscriber based soared rapidly because of that. NCC did not compel MTN to do per second billing, competiton and market forces determined it. I love competitive market, it is a little bit self regulatory. |
jahyeeus: Yes company owned by chief Adesoye. Used to be served as refreshment on the late 80s @adeola model sch offa. Gone are those dayz!I attended Adeola Model School up to primary 2. Fresh Okin biscuits was served during break to all students then. Oh! My! |
NigerianS are so gullible sha!!! Billyonaire just turned into a cosmic analyst all of a sudden. Now I know why pastors and Imam are billionares, it is the same set of people begging nairaland billyonaire for meaning of nonsense that will still go and enrich pastors, imam and babalawo's for answers to abstract nonsense. UNA WELL DONE! |

I have noticed that the underlying reason for the hatred towards telecoms operators, especialy MTN is because people expect these companies to change their fortune through promos. A lot of people have tied their success in life to their SIM card. They talk and buy credit everyday, so they are hoping someday they will talk their way into milions. The operators know this inherent desire in lazy people and will continue to capitalize on it. I still find in hard that thousands are angry that the MTN plane was not given to them. Mind you, all promos is to keep you hooked all in the hope that the next one is for you. Everyone tha falls into this category is not different from the BABA IJEBU boys scattered all over Lagos. I have never met a single individual in this country that became rich through promos. WHERE IS THE DUDE THAT WON THE MILLION DOLLARS BY ETISALAT IN 2010? |
ebamma: naija promos are scams na so i follow play etisalat promo,i spent over 20k on recharge cards with hope of winning but i was given only a consolation price of 50mb data i almost cried that day,but i never give up one day i will winThat amount is what some people load daily. |
@OP, GET A LIFE!!! |
Apongbon and CMS are dangerous places at night. |
engrfcuksmtin: My joystickNAIRALANDERS!!! ![]() What a name... engr Bleep smtin... lolz |
jackbauersballs: LMAO its obvious you know NOTHING about football...It is you that knows nothing about basketball. He is making comparism and pointing out ways to make soccer more interesting. By the way, basketball is more stressful because all the players are engaged both on offence and defence all the time ( I mean every seconds the game is on, unlike football ) You need to know basketball rules and play the game to understand what he is saying |
tiniyata: How did MTN know her name? Someone might be saying tru sim card registration n all that, but thats a big fat lie cos even if u call MTN customers service now, they will ask 'may i know what ur name is' and 'where are u calling from'......Mtn should think of a better way to cover up their deceitful ways, cos this show of shame has failedYou may be using a borrowed line to call customer care, so they have to ask. If you did not register your sim properly, you can never win anything from the promo. |
I thought we are paying 97 naira (now 120 naira) so that some things can be put in place before full subsidy removal. I knew this what government is planning when the scarcity started towards the end of this year again. GEJ should do what he thinks he has to do, if by 2015 he has nothing significant to show, then the masses will be waiting. We are also getting older and wiser democratically |
