These stories coming out of Nigeria are becoming ridiculous.

And for those claiming anti Christ and end times, why is God sending all the anti christs to Nigeria? All the babies and other ridiculous signs pointing to the end times seems to come from Nigerian Muslims and sometimes Christians alone.

is Nigeria the only country tending towards end times or have religion completely brainwashed us more in Nigeria?
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Issues In Dangote’s Graduate Drivers Scheme By Jarus by rman: 4:36pm On Aug 22, 2012
Amya: 100 thousand Naria per month is a paltry sum compared to the money the present "illiterate" drivers make per month. In the haulage business the hire a trailer for a day for a 7-10 hour trip is not below 300k. The drivers make between 30-50k per trip. In a month that's surely almost or over a million naria.

This is so because of the huge dangers they (the drivers) encounter on our roads.
Dangote being the business man that he is, is trying to cash in on the desperation of our youth by implementing a more regimented structure where drivers are paid salaries and not commissions. All he is doing is to enlarge his pocket even more. He does not care about our unemployed graduates.
This is just the plain truth

MTN bashing threads always gets the most response on nairaland. The fan boys of their competitors just don't have the zeal to promote or comment on threads about Etisalat, Glo or Airtel.

What is MTN doing right? Because, it seems with all their atrocities, subscribers always give themselves excuses to come back and later come online to whine.

They have no right to enforce compliance. This kind of comment actually gives islam a bad image. Why use force even if they are Muslims?
Sports › Re: Why Nigerians Have Not Vamoosed At The Olympics Like Cameroonians? by rman: 5:03pm On Aug 08, 2012
Nigerian athletes will not run away because the opportunity available for anyone good enough to represent us at that level is numerous. So why run?

Mind you, all the members of the basketball team are based in Europe or America already.

Majority of the peeps in atlethics are also based aabroad or have traveled out to London before.

If you are good enough to represent Nigeria in any sport, believe me, traveling out wont be a big thing because, our sports association travel regularly.

Athletes from Cameroon may not have this opportunity and may see this Olympic as a golden chance to disappear into Europe.

The fact that Naija athletes ain't running ( disapperaing ) is because it is no biggie to athletes at that level in our country anymore.

We just can't defend the perimeter.
I expect players at this level to be able to play good perimeter defence and help on penetration drible.

If we can't do this two well, we will have no chance in this game as well.

The Argentines are actually taking it easy because they ve qualified anyway.

Why can't we just capitalize on that?!

There is no way JTF will do a proper job without collateral damage.

If they don't want gun fights, and house search, they should stop bombing and killing those they feel don't have the same religious belief , political affiliation or different ethnic group.

cap28: The beauty of white supremacy is that it has succeeded in lulling many africans to sleep while it continues to spread its tentacles unhindered.

Proliferation of white owned media stations in africa with eurocentric values replacing indigenous african cultural values - many africans think this is a sign of advancement and not brainwashing and mass mind control

Increase in interacial relationships between black men and white women - africans think this is a sign that whites love them and now see them as equals, oblivious to the fact that they are committing race suicide.

Adoption of euro centric education - - blacks welcome this and think this is a sign that this will "civilise" them and place them on an equal footing with whites - completely unaware that this same education teaches them to hate themselves, their ancestry, their culture and everything that reminds them of themselves.

Adoption of european standards of beauty - many africans actually beleive that europeans are better looking than themselves - if not why would an african woman wear those atrocious looking wigs and use bleaching creams if not to mimic the way european women look and why would many african men consciously seek out white women for marriage and procreation , most races want their children to look like them - why are we not like that?

white supremacy is no longer overt and in your face - its sophisticated and undercover. It preys on the low self esteem of african people - many years of being mentally beaten and mistreated has convinced us that we are not worth much. This is why so many on here can not even see the importance of showing solidarity with members of their own race.

The biggest trick the system of white supremacy ever played on the mind of black people was to convince us that it no longer exists.
Brilliant!

chakaz: My problem with them is that; they are trying to convince the whole world that they are leaving plateau state because of insecurity, why not be bold and tell the world that her staffs are demanding too much from them and that's why they are leaving? Why not tell the world that their primcipal (MTN) is not giving her (CNSSL) enough to meet the demands of her employees and because that they are out of business?
You are not there when the decision was made, so we all have to assume they are telling the truth. We all know there are security challenges in Jos.

BrutusOj: and every contract have a memorandum of understanding btween d principal partners, right?why did CNSSL refused to ansa d call by d plateau state house of assembly?yes..d terms of and conditions are subject to changes n d staff have decided to say no to d previous terms as obtained in oda places cos de do dsame job...some of u on nairaland re so sentimental..imagine ur sef in d shoe of d graduates sufering in d hand of a few individual called CNSSL
You are free to resign instead of holding a private company to ransom. Your response is based on sentiments. All teachers in Nigeria dont earn same salary, All engrs in the same MTN doing the same job dont earn the same salary, all sales representatives in MTN dont earn the same salary. Everyone got what was stated in the employment letter. Did MTN reduce the agreed salary?

I once got a job that I felt the pay and the working conditions is not favorable. I resigned after just one month. I didnt go on strike nor tried to bully them to pay me more.
What most young job seekers in Nigeria have in common is a sense of entitlement as a graduate. If you truly think the value you bring is more than a company pays, believe me, it is just a matter of time before that job that pays better will find you.

All these graduate stuff is actually overated.

MTN/CNSSL is a private company and they have every right to pay what they think is fair for a job role. They also have every right to open and close down any business outlet in any part of the country they feel does not make business sense anymore.
You as a staff can not accept the terms and condition of a job and cry foul when you later found out others that do excatly the same job elsewhere earn more. WHYY ACCEPT THE OFFER TO HOLD THE COMPANY TO RANSOME LATER?

If MTN likes let them open and maintain branches in BOKOHARAM compound, it is a private business.

Unless you are a majority share holder you have no right to tell a private business to continue operations where they feel doesnt make business sense.

Even if the underlying reason for closure is staff salaries, it is still a legitimate reason to close down a branch. Do we all know how many bank branches why closed down nationwide when the bank restructuring took place?

WE are no longer using MTN!
MTN is fraudulent!
We wmust crash the network!
Our MTN SIM cards was tossed when ETISALAT came
They must go back to south Africa
Empty Hen is a scam
NCC must ban them....... bla bla bla
People have known me with the number.... and the beats goes on.

SIM cards costs just 100 naira. Buy the SIM of your prefared network, load the SIM with credit, and send sms to all your contacts that you have a new number and going forward they should communicate with you using your new number. BINGO! all your problem solved.

The truth is when number portability comes, all of you will still thick with MTN, I can bet that. Do you all know why? You all prasie gsm service providers because of freebies and not because of quality of service.

Load above 400 naira means you get 100% bonus only when you load 750 or more not 400 and below.

MTN is a scam but Nigerians will not just buy another sim just because they have been jazzed.

Nigeria made history today by becoming the first men's basketball team in Africa to win a basketball game at the olympics! WELDONE TIGERS!!!

But, we need to step up big time. Out target is to at least win two games and get of this group to make the last eight. This is a realistic objective and it will mean a lot to us, and will permanently change how the world will see basketball in Africa, especially Nigeria.

Now lets go and get that second victory Tigers!!!

This game is not over and I appalled at how we are playing.
Everything we are doing is soley based on superior athlethism and energy.

The games we played at Venezuela to qualify are far better than what am seeing.

-No perimeter threat
-Poor ball movement
-Poor floor spacing
-The back court players (guards) are so limited when it comes to creating their own shot.
-The front court players (forwards) can only play with their back to the rim.

I can go on and on but after watching them play in Venezuela, I sincerely believe we can get the two victories necessary to get out of this group and Tunisia is one that called a ''sure banker''. Now I have my doubts.

Haba Tigers! Why did you guys our hopes high and turn up at the party with this kind of attitude?

There is nothing wrong with all the names listed by posters. People may pronounce them with the wrong accent, thats all.

Some of the local or religious names have beautiful meanings.

We are seriously losing it if we think foreign names are cool.

Even the aliases on nairaland are cool and creative and I find names like Ileke-idi, Demdem, even Born2fuck as creative.
