FamilyA Baby Father Or A Divorced Dad: Which Is Better For The Child? by Sagamite(op): 4:38pm On Oct 16, 2013
I have wondered for a while about those that always argue that marriage is important because of the benefits to the child whether the fact that an increasing number of marriages are failing do not have a more negative effect on the child.

So my questions goes as follows:

Would a child prefer to have a father that she has always known is in the outer boundaries of her life and she sees and spends time with him every other week?

Or would a child prefer a father that was part of her life for, lets say, the first 5 to 12 years of life and now has moved out and she sees and spends time with the him every other week?

Which of the 2 inferior options provides more marginal joy and less hurt to the child? grin

Feel free to substitute he for "she", and him/his for "her".

I only used a female child because I did not want to confuse my nouns with the masculine one for a Dad.

mmsen: What you have just described is every country in the world. Have you ever lived outside Nigeria? Are you bitter because you have been stuck in one place for the entirety of your life?

It is however possible that your negative perceptions of Nigeria are predicated upon your own poor circumstances and the standard of company that you keep.
Fool, can you see your human capital?

The country produces cretins in abundance and at a fast rate.

LBT: How close are you to him? Have you seen his authentic signature before? Or Have you ever sat with him before? Demuren is very meticulous in every he did for NCAA but stella came and she and are igbo brother in the senate committee on aviation are always demanding for money from Demuren which he could not provide so the plane crash happened and they used it against him; why is stella not fired and the senate aviation committee de solved by now after 2 plane crashes? Presidential incompetence; in other countries of the world you resign or your sacked but Gej left them and he wants to run for a second term after putting Nigeria economy in a great mess! May God help us.
Demuren is too rich for a man that was a career civil servant. So rich, he later formed his own cargo airline.

His kids lived a high, affluent life in their youth while he was a civil servant.

His sons are the ones that provided the funds to launch Banky W and, hence, later Wizkid. They are the moneybags behind that label.

This is an example of the typical Nigerian Millionaire civil servant (in dollars). Just like Atiku is a Nigerian Billionaire civil servant.

Trust me, this is my deep circle. The man is highly corrupt.

FamilyRe: Why Are Married Men Never Contented With Their Wives? by Sagamite(m):
carefreewannabe: I am happy someone finally addressed the issue in such a way. We should have a discussion on how to make a change.
I am convinced that many Nigerian men cheat because it is considered normal in Nigeria's society.
I know, people will get angry with me now and say white men cheat too. Yet, I am convinced that Nigerian men cheat more. And I am also convinced that it is due to the fact that we accept this behaviour so easily. So not only biology plays a part in that whole scenario but also the cultural approach. My opinion AND experience.
Even though I agree with your position, I am just entirely baffled why you quoted such an intellectually bereft post to praise.

here: Very negative mindset.
Its no different from a suicidal one only matter of time and being expressed in another dimension.
Every spouse who cheats only reflects how much s/he hates him/erself.
There is a trend going on,people are taking out their frustrations on the ones they love believing it makes them feel good.

I like to close by saying "everyone grows old feeling used"
I have seen men cheat by just traveling out of town,I have also seen women cheat because he traveled to a far state and comes once in 1-3yrs,statistics none;I bet you dont have.
My question: Is there no way we can discus how to get your spouse not to cheat and atleast offer vacation packages or organise outings or events to help unions than sit all day post on spouse who cheat?
It really rarely gets dafter than this!

49cents: I defined both in my post see bolded
That is not a definition.

You can't say "a mature man knows exactly what he needs" and then arbitrarily and ambiguously critique some men for "sleeping with as many girls as possible or controlling them".

What about if that is what those men classify as their need?

From your statements, it is obvious you have classified some "needs" as of "higher level". So for an appropriate and comprehensive definition, you will have to specify what a mature man would need.

Obviously, in your draft, some needs are merely "petty goals or victories". So there is a need for you to define what are "needs" that are appropriate in a non-ambivalent way.

I am assuming (I admit I might be mistaken) that your use of "needs" equates to and is synonymous with "higher things".

Am I mistaken? It is only right for you to provide some clarity.

What is a "mature man"?

What are "higher things"?

Let me make this loud and clear.

These pics show a very nice environment.

But as nice as it is, it is BY NO MEANS an international tourist attraction.

I used the term "international" because to many Nigerians, this might be like a tourist attraction, but to most Westerners, this is live an average and not special neighbourhood in their hinterlands. Even cable cars are in the middle of London.

They would not pay all the money required to fly from their home to Calabar just to see this when they can go to a place like Wales.

To make this a bit more attractive, one needs to see a serious population of wildlife.

I could not help but notice the dearth of any animals in the pics.

This goes to the cretin that thought Nigerian officials are worthy of being asked about their corruption.

https://www.nairaland.com/1479944/n255m-ministerial-car-scandal-all

That is the response a journalist has got from these fucktards.

- All the lunatic "spokesman" gave was that the Minister is so rich, she can give away cars.

- No confirmation or denial that the cars were ever bought or anyone is using them.

- No confirmation if an inquiry has been put forward about the cars to the NCAA or will be put forward.

Those are the cretins we have in public service.
TV/MoviesRe: Are Reality TV Shows/Competitions Of Any Benefit To Us? by Sagamite(m): 10:28am On Oct 16, 2013
Reality TV shows/competitions are the new fad in TV programming and we have been inundated with so many of them through our TVs.

Examples are such shows are BBA, GUS, Next Movie Star, Project Fame, Nigerian Idol, Nigeria Got Talent, Celebrity Takes 2, Koko Mansion, X Factor, The Debaters, Apprentice Africa etc to mention a few.

Now, the question is are these shows beneficial to the society and the populace at large? It's debatable so I'll throw it to NLDers

Other than the obvious cash prizes and entertainment factor, what benefits do you think you've derived so far from following these shows and how do they impart positively on the lives of both contestants and viewers?
They are a dumb-down machinery. undecided

I can't stand most of them.

The few I have seen is strictly for looking at certain fine babes in them, not the stewpid fabricated plots.

49cents: Read through this thread cos its a public holiday and I decided to not do anything today.

Sagamite is on point with his submissions but then these are all goings on in the human-animal levels that no intelligent person would want to descend into.

How can a man attentive to himself and his life focus on sleeping as many girls as possible or controlling them.....its an utter waste of time.

I don't find girls whom I can manipulate attractive neither would I enjoy the love of a girl or woman that I manipulated satisfying.

A mature man knows exactly what he needs. He knows what Sagamite and his team know only he thirsts for higher things;

It is important to let her know you know what she knows, that you know the playa game.....and you just don't say it alone or fully but show it fully when she starts acting up.

Then see if she is ready for the higher things of living proper to the full stature of the human being.....if she is not just move on.....its easy for the man whose zest for life is not weakened by petty goals or victories as manipulating and bedding empty-headed girls and women who have not yet understood the truest thirst of their hearts!!!
If I may ask,

What is a "mature man"?

What are "higher things"?

735 i: Slow down mate..slow down...i sense emotions are running high here but, logic should come 1st.
About 3 years ago; the bank i used to work for purchased a Mercedes G-Guard for the M.D; (on his request oh). the vehicle was just short of 100M so some bullet proof cars do really cost that much.
I'm not guessing because i was actually copied in the e-mails i had to source for best insurance offers for the "vehicle"
Now; the M.D didn't give a hoot how much the car cost or the transaction dynamics; he just requested for the specifications. But i very much doubt that he would receive kickbacks from the purchase.
Why?
Because alternative (not too obvious) means of making money are available to him.
My point;
We do not have sufficient evidence to say the minister has in anyway profited from purchase of this asset. Even if she ends up using the car....it's still not enough evidence...
My 2 kobo....
Whoever bought the Mercedes for N100m ($600K) is milking your bank. Period!

It is not sensible to use such to justify another looting.

Sincere 9gerian: Lets do away with sentiments and stay with the FACTS. Here are the FACTS on this matter:

1. According to SR, NCAA bought two BMW Armoured Cars, worth $1.6 million

2. NCAA is an autonomous agency under the administrative supervision of the minister of aviation

3. Based on the information provided by SR, in "a letter dated August 13, 2013, J.D Nkemakolam of the NCAA sent a letter to the Managing Director of Coscharis Motors asking the company to deliver to the NCAA two BMW 760 armored vehicles..". On August 13, 2013, Dr. Daniel Nkemakolam was no longer the DG of NCAA. This is a FACT. Dr. Daniel Nkemakolam was appointed acting DG on 12 Mar 2013. By July 2013, a substantive DG, NCAA Folayele Akinkuotu, had already taken over.
Akinkuotu’s appointment was confirmed on June 25 by the Senate. By July 4, he had already taken over as DG NCAA
http://leadership.ng/news/040713/ncaa-dg-advocates-safety-compliance-operators

4. There is nothing in the report to suggest the alleged vehicles purchased were for PRIVATE use.

5. There is nothing in the report linking the minister of aviation to alleged purchase of the vehicles or that she currently uses those vehicles.

The above are the FACTS in this matter. The other issues outside the FACTS above are speculations, conjectures, emotional spasms/convulsions and outbursts of sentiments. Let us stay with the FACTS.

If SR has more details linking the minister to the purchase of the vehicles or how the said vehicles were diverted to private use, SR should let out.

Also, as pointed out earlier, there are contradictions in the dates mentioned in the SR report.

Moreover, the standard practice in journalism is that you must give all parties an opportunity to say their side of the story. It is irresponsible to run to publish one-sided story.

It is important to stay with the FACTS, especially in these days of too much bad-belleism, politicization of everything and PULL-HIM/HER-DOWN SYNDROME.
