A student of the University of Benin, Ekehuan campus, Emmanuel Omoregie, has wowed many with his recent artwork which is a statue of activist Aisha Yesufu.

Omoregie disclosed that the sculpture was part of the requirements for the award of B.A Fine and Applied Arts.
According to Omoregie, he decided to make a sculpture in Aisha Yesufu’s form to appreciate her roles in contemporary activism in Nigeria.

“I thank the Lord, for this. I am Omoregie Emmanuel. As part of the requirements for the award of B.A Fine and Applied Arts, I made a stylised figure of Aisha Yesufu to appreciate her roles towards contemporary activism in Nigeria,” he captioned the photos.

The artwork was inspired by an iconic photo of Aisha Yesufu which was taken during the #EndSARS protest of October 2020.

Olusegun Bamgbose, the National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, CAGG, has told President Muhammadu Buhari to release self determination campaigners, Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho, to the Southern Governors.

Nnamdi Kanu is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, after he was a few weeks ago rearrested in Kenya and bundled back to Nigeria while Sunday gboho was arrested in neighbouring Benin Republic on Monday night and is currently in detention in Cotonou.

SleekGist reports that Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, while Sunday Igboho Is a leading advocate for Oduduwa Republic.

Bamgbose noted that the nation is undoubtedly passing through a very critical moment in its political history and that the future seems to be unpredictable, warning that stakeholders must take extreme caution to avoid disintegration as the unity of Nigeria has never been this weak.
“The truth remains that in any part of the world, where there is unfair treatment, injustice, and inequality, agitation becomes inevitable and legitimate. You can’t push someone and tell him or her where to fall,” the senior lawyer and 2023 presidential hopeful noted.

“We can’t claim to be one nation when there is obvious discrimination in terms of clan or tribe. Agitation is a natural reflection of what goes on in society.

“The Igbos have always complained that they are heavily marginalized in the scheme of things, while the Yorubas are aggrieved that Fulani herders are kidnapping their people, raping their women, destroying their farms, killing them, the one million naira question begging for answers is, how has President Buhari addressed these critical issues?

Yomi Alliyu, the lead counsel to the Yoruba Nation Activist, Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho, has said that it was the International Criminal Police Organisation which arrested Igboho alongside his wife, Ropo, in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

According to him, the Federal Government of Nigeria through INTERPOL got Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, who is a German citizen, and his wife arrested on Monday night at an airport in Benin Republic, one of Nigeria’s neighbouring countries in the West African sub-region.

Igboho was arrested while he tried to catch a flight to Germany with his wife.

The senior advocate urged the government of Germany, Benin Republic and the international community “to rise up and curb the impunity of the Nigerian Government by refusing any application for extradition of our Client who already has application before the International Criminal Court duly acknowledged”.

The Federal Government of Nigeria had placed the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Customs Service on alert to stop Igboho from leaving the country.

A source privy to his departure from Nigeria on Monday had told SaharaReporters that Igboho tried to leave Nigeria through Cotonou and was heading to Germany.

He was, however, nabbed by security operatives in the neighboring country.

Speaking with SaharaReporters, a source privy to the incident, had said, "Sunday Igboho has been arrested in Cotonou. He was arrested about an hour ago. He was supposed to travel to Germany through Cotonou this night. He wanted to leave Africa through Cotonou. He was arrested by security operatives in Cotonou.

"They are planning to bring him back to Nigeria."

Supporters of the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho have stormed his residence in Ibadan the Oyo State capital to demand the release of the agitator who is currently at the custody of security officials in Cotonou, Benin Republic, Newspremises reports.

Recall that Igboho was nabbed on Monday night in Cotonou while allegedly making moves to escape to Germany with his German wife.

Newspremises had previously reported that Olayomi Koiki, an aide to Sunday Igboho called for a protest against his principal’s arrest.

Koiki in a statement disclosed that the agitators would stage the protest on Wednesday afternoon in Ibadan, at Igboho’s residence in Ibadan.

He said, “Please we beg all agitators to converge at Chief Sunday Igboho’s house for a peaceful demonstration to show the world the kind of person he is as one of the conditions given for his release.

“Please let’s all be at his house in Soka, Ibadan, before 12 o’clock today, thanks and God bless Yoruba nation now.”

Former Governor of Imo State and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial Zone, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha is set to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This revelation was made by Senator Samuel Anyanwu while speaking to newsmen over the weekend.

Senator Anyanwu, a former Lawmaker disclosed that some Imo lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress have started negotiating to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.

Anyanwu said this concerning the future of PDP and the state in 2023.

He said: “If national and state Lawmakers are secretly negotiating for a come-back into PDP, those already in the party should see their membership as a privilege to remain loyal and dedicated to party rules.

Over the past year, the All Progressives Congress in Imo State has been besieged by internal rancour, which has seen former Governor Rochas Okorocha fighting for his political life.

The former Governor had gone ahead to set up a parallel Party structure led by Dan Nwafor, which has been declared illegal and void by the party national leadership.

Okorocha who disclosed to newsmen last week that he has been unable to enrol in the massive revalidation exercise of the APC, has been accused of anti-party activities, chief among which is the attempt to destabilize the party before his move into the PDP.

Former Governor Rochas Okorocha began his political career in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where he contested in the party Governorship primaries in 1999. Okorocha lost to Achike Udenwa who would go on to become a two-time governor of Imo state.

The governor knows better than them. The last thing he will accept is to go back to their level, unfortunately he is not certain that PDP will give him what it takes to move to the next and a higher level.
He has watched how several PDP member go underneath while those trying to be relevant are being drag in one way or the other.
You don't expect him to wait until someone start asking him "who is bankrolling your lifestyle" or turn Yahaya Bello's errand boy before he get sense.

On that very day ,the 18th of June I took an early morning bath in my London hotel and prepared to board an Uber to the Hearthrow London airport for my scheduled flight to Uhuru Kenyatta airport,Nairobi Kenya.

My plane touched down at Nairobi, and I disembarked.

While awaiting clearance for entry , heavily armed intelligence and PARAMILITARY personal decended on the scene with high caliber weapons , helicopters and armoured vehicles.

Nairobi is notorious for Islamic extremists attacks and we thought one was being twarted by this deployment.
To my bewilderment,they headed straight to me and handled me in the most vicious way.
I was bruised ,tazed, whipped and punched right there at the international airport in full view.


After I was weakened , they hooded me and dragged me into a waiting helicopter . I was blacked out immediately and only knew my surrounding when I woke up in an unknown house at an unknown place.

Then began the arduous toture I would ever imagine in my life .
I was electrocuted often, flipped upside down and whipped with copper cables .
I bled and screamed , my butts were red like a neon bulb. I could neither seat nor stand .

They slapped and shouted at me , threatened and shoved me.
I was in great distress ,as no one knew my predicament or knew my where about .

All my gadgets were seized ,phones too ,my iCloud was invaded and my details and storages infiltrated.

I only waited to die
Next thing I saw after 8 days of systemic torture and chaos , were federal agents from Nigeria , who brought some kind of relief to me . They assured me of some form of safety and soft landing If i cooperate.

I was not myself , again under the influence of multiple drugs I concurred to their proposal and was immediately transferred to them by the murderous Kenyan intelligence agency who were HELLBENT on MY ELIMINATION.

I was flown back to Abuja . All this happening without the knowledge of anyone except Chukwu okike Abiama and Yahweh.

I had no intention of fleeing Nigeria , I only left after Gen BURATAI' personally signed my "KILL ORDER".

I had to leave ..

What's the the aim of the Yoruba nation rally? To create awareness, Abi? Since few days now, the awareness has been growing. Thanks to the F00lish Fulani Nigerian government aiding the spread of the awareness by attacking the agitators and announcing the prevention on media.
