Briefing newsmen in Umuahia on Sunday on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the PRO of the command, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna expressed regret that two Inspectors lost their lives in the attack.

It's actually January and when I was denied,I asked for the refusal letter and they said it didn't come with it..I asked for is three times and got same response ..

You can't expect agent to keep your document for you over the years, thats your duty to collect all your documents immediately after biometric.

Its only UKVI that can help you in such situation

They refused to take my call..I will have to request it from UKVI myself..

The uk has made mistakes in the past where they have refused visa and issued empty refusal reasons with just the sections but this was an administrative error but never in my 5yrs + working legal have i seen it just refused.
You get an email and/or a letter stating the reason your right to an administrative review or immigration decision appeal.
Perhaps make a freedom of information request quoting your name, passport number,date of application and reference number if you know it.

Thanks for your reply..I actually don't know the name of the agency..it was done based on trust he have on my cousin which is the reason why he made the agent to return the 500,000 so he wouldn't disappoint the family..I'm just being calm because of my cousin but if by Monday I don't get it then I would have to get it from UKVI..

Someone I know had similar experience. Send a paid email to UKVI or call them. Tell them you received your passport without any decision. You will have to quote your GWF reference number and some other basic information like date of birth, passport number, location of biometric centre etc and you will get the refusal letter within two working days. Create a new email and tell them you no longer have access to the email you used in your application, you can state the same email address used in your application if you have access to it. All the best.

I never had any agreement with them..my cousin chatted my brother up that there is an opening for UK visa that came out..my brother called and asked if I was interested and I said yes..then I told my brother to ask him if they are going to return my money if I'm not granted and he said yes so that's what really happened..

if not, go to any lenght with them to see that refusal letter.

ive heard a story similar to this dt the sweedish embassy have to seize and return d guy passport to nigerian immigration + long ban like warri sapele road on top for the guy.

please dont put in any application for now until u get to the root abeg

Good to hear that you actually attended the biometric appointment. The best time to have viewed the information submitted was at the biometrics centre where you waited before you had your biometrics captured. Well, that's gone now.

Here's my advice, be very patient about the next steps and don't rush into anything. Don't put in a new application that could possibly or not hinder future economic benefits to without understanding previous refusal reason.

Under the GDPR guidelines to which the UK follows strictly, you have a right to request the information the Home Office holds about you known as Subject Access Request.

and follow the instructions set in the link. May take a while (avg. 30 - 40 days) to receive the documented information, after all you are not planning to put in a new application next month. "A particular decision letter" is the most important document you need.

I have asked my cousin that I want to see the refusal letter but they keep telling me it's s special package that doesn't come with a refusal letter..let me just try my luck with my own genuine documents and see how it goes..what ever they tell me at the Embassy I will know what the truth is from there..but for the meantime I want to apply for a business trip..I have a registered company since January 2018 and I want to build it from now till November and then apply again..please can you gaurd me on what and what I should do..

I really hope you haven't been banned . The agent is probably hiding that fact from you. He probably registered a different email so that only him can get any refusal mail from the embassy. Where is the printout from your application? You need to get to the root of this because even if you've not been banned before your new application may lead to a ban due to the inaccurate information you will provide.

These agents have a way of messing peoples lives up.

Thanks for your response..yes I attended biometrics in November and received my passport January with no refusal letter..out of the 600,000 I gave him,he refunded me 500,000..now I'm trying to do it with my documents..

Please be mindful of what you're about to do. You need to understand what information the agent entered into your first application. Any major discrepancies in your initial vs your next application may not turn out well.

To begin with, did you attend the biometrics appointment? If you did not, it simply means you had no visa application put in, as that is a key factor for processing visa applications these days.
If you did, and you were handed no refusal letter, just try to find out what email your agent used for the application and the reference number provided after submission, all other information you already have, such as your last name, date of birth, so that you can make a request to UKVI to find out the information you need to address ahead of your next application.

They also made mention that I was going on a visit..
When I got to Abuja around 1 pm and proceeded to meet the agent to put me through..he told me the only questions I would be are are my date of birth and name..on getting there,I wrote my name at the reception and went up..I got there before my interview time..the secretary handed me a portfolio..in it were my international passport and maybe my statement of account with some documents the agent gave me..I didn't really have time to look at the documents because immediately I clocked in my name,a man was already calling me to come in..when I got to him,he took my international passport,I don't know if the photographers were inside then took some documents and sent me to another section..when I got to the next place I sat down and everyone there was looking at the TV screen waiting for them to call our numbers,so when they called my number I walked..when I got in she asked me to be looking directly at the camera and say my name and date of birth and after that she captured me and took my finger print then I left..

When I got back to base it took like 2 months to hear from them..I did my biometrics November ending and got response January..I forgot to mention that the agent asked me to tell them that I will be available to pick my international passport so there was no need to pay for it..when my cousin sent my passport,it was in a brown envelope made with nylon and paper and nothing was written on it..this must be so long but I needed to explain it well for you..thanks..

I am really worried that this agent claims that your last application is not email package.. pls what does he mean... since u were refused, a reason must have been stated.. and the only way this ppl translate this reason is via email or physical refusal letter.

I dnt think it is wise to apply for another visa if u dnt know what exactly went wrong in d last ‘package’... is it just a refusal or you were bannned bcus all this talk is not straight forward. I think u shud invest time in finding out also what was filled in ur last application and/or your visa letter as you can’t give conflicting .. information this time around too... we just need u to confirm that u went to a TLS centre to submit biometrics- fingerprint and digital photo yes or no??

Were u filled as married? What job did they put for you? What was ur income? Did they say u have kids? U need to know if truly u had a visa app and what information was filled there and why u were denied if so...

Thanks so much for your help..I contacted him and he said the package doesn't come with an email..personally I don't know the agent,a cousin of mine who works at the airport contacted my big brother and told him there is a special package and I'm going to pay a million +..I gave 600,000 as an initial payment but when it didn't go through because of covid according to them I was refunded 500,000.

Now I want to apply for a new one..I have a limited company I registered since January 2018 which I want to build for six months and then apply November..I have never used that company for any transaction but but I have started fixing it..I want to ask my in-law in Germany to use my company to import the next container he will be bringing to Nigeria,I want him to use my name like three or four times and I also import goods from the UK but not as much as what my in-law brings...
I also want to ask my in-law to be sending all the money he sends my brother for his house project into my business account so I will be the one to pull it after four days then send to my brother..for my personal business I want to always put my own personal money in my business account then keeping sending 100,000 into my private account so once it's 6 months I will print my bank statement and also I will have like 4 million as my balance when I'm doing the printing.
Please is there any other document or information I will be needing for this business visa application?I will be applying like someone going on a business trip..maybe to go buy second hand shoes and clothes then come to Nigeria and sell?
