I was genuine shedding tears as I relayed my shameful experience to him. I apologized and begged for him to forgive me and I promised to never repeat such again. I thought he'd understand and forgive me. But I was wrong. My husband now wants a divorce. Actually, he has sent me and the kids out of his house. I have a daughter who is 4 and a son who is 2. I feel like my life is over. I can't face my parents and tell them what I've done. It's very shameful. I can't even face my friends and relations. I feel like I'm drowning a pool of shame and despair. I can't imagine being a single mother at this age. I love my husband and I enjoyed our marriage. I can't imagine it all being over.

I called my colleague and told him everything. He said that I shouldn't hold him responsible for anything since our rendezvous was based on mutual consent. He said he doesn't want to have anything to with me and we should keep our relationship at work very platonic so as not to raise eyebrows of those who might link him to what happened with me.

I'm utterly hopeless. I feel like taking my life. I almost took this action yesterday but I pitied my children. But with every passing day I feel like suicide is the only way to end my pain. I understand people do get agitated at matters like this and all kinds of theory flies around. I just want to set the record straight that there was an attempt by RCCG to help him but obviously there is more to it than meets the eye. Embattled convener of OurMumuDonDo movement, Charles Oputa also known as Charlyboy, has relocated to his home state, Imo, from Abuja.


The activist also known as ‘Area Fada’ told reporters in Owerri yesterday that the decision to relocate was to turn his searchlight and support to Imo governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, before and during his administration.

He warned the governor-elect to be mindful of the major pitfalls of the Rochas Okorocha administration.

Charly Boy, however, expressed reservations on some people in the Transition Technical Committee (TTC) and the Inauguration Committee of the governor-elect.

He advised Ihedioha to be careful in order not to make further mistakes.


He said he assumed the presidency of Association of Frustrated Nigerians (AFN) because there were too many Nigerians who had been suffering that needed help.

Ahead of the November 2 governorship election in Kogi state, some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state will today storm the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja to protest alleged plans by the party leadership to deny the state governor, Yahaya Bello the party’s ticket.

Daily Independent gathered that the protesters, who are staunch loyalists of the governor are drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state.

Speaking to Daily Independent, Jonah Adavi, one of the protesters who claimed to be a card-carrying member of the party said he would join other loyalists of the governor to “caution Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and other members of the party’s National Working Committee to refrain from carrying out the wishes of some powerful individuals outside the state who are hell-bent on denying Governor Bello a second term”.

According to him, some of them have already left Kogi for Abuja on Tuesday where they will be joined by indigenes of the state residents in Abuja.

“We are protesting because we don’t want the politics of Kogi to be determined by some outsiders who are not even residents in Kogi. Even before the primary, we are already getting feelers that Governor Bello would be denied the party’s ticket. That is what we don’t want”.

“If the party wants direct primary in Kogi, we are okay by it. If it is by delegates voting, we are also comfortable with it. If Yahaya Bello lost in a free and fair primary, we have no problem with that. After all, he didn’t win the primary in 2015 but God ordained him as the governor,” he said.

Reacting, Governor Bello who spoke through Onogwu Mohammed, his Chief Press Secretary (CPS) said he was not aware of the development, directing our correspondent to speak with the state executives of the party.

“We are not aware of that. Since they are not going for a government function, we cannot be in the picture. If it has to do with the party, then it is the party people that will be in the best position to explain, not the state government”.

On whether he has started reaching out to party leaders who are rumoured to be opposed to his reelection bid, Mohammed said the governor is focused on governance is eight months away and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not given the go-ahead for campaigns in the state.

I'm the faithful and loyal type due to my fear of infections. I started dating this girl since June last year she looked innocent not the runs type we dated for three months before we had sex the first time.
