1. Oga what are you even saying? Oh, my gosh!

I am convinced that this is another brand of "pill" probably the "brown pill"...please, it is high time you throw away whatever you have been "smoking".

Write what you posted here on a wall in your room, read it, and find out if it is sensible. The post is not even plausible, just wack!

2. More like saying:

"Since accidents happen on all roads, I will travel around with bad vehicles and just use my good cars to cruise around my neighborhood".

" Death is death, I will prefer to die by a cancerous disease than die in my sleep".

"Women tend to cheat, it is better I befriend, date, or marry a retired h0e than marry a chaste woman".

3. Quite alright, the dating market is deregulated and filled with damaged women and emasculated weak men. It is advisable one stay back and not get involved with mates that will multiply their pains and sorrows (until they are sure of something better).

However, this doesn't eradicate the fact that sexual relationship is an important core of the human psyche and nothing can even destroy it whether good or bad.

4. The ones that are willing to enter the mating game must know all the pros and cons before playing, and this is where the red pill becomes important because it helps men to know the type of women they should only deal with and women, the type of men that have the qualities of a good leader.

5. You all are just paranoid about a young woman in her prime, bro, they are the BEST ANYTIME OR ANYDAY in both short and long-term relationships as far as men are concerned; your opposition and those of others don't count. Don't get it, twisted man.

6. What needs to be done is to lay down structures that can make a relationship work, and reward only good partners. But because "we cherish the little benefits of the decline" we rather feign ignorance or come up with nonsensical rationalizations.

You are more like saying "coming back alive from war is not guaranteed, it is better I go with primitive tools than the sophisticated ones".

7. Both men and women are at this table. Women must be held accountable for all of their actions, but we must not wait for women when we already know that they suffer waves of emotional instability. Therefore, if men say they are the head, in charge of authority and the prize, they must force women to act right or lay down structures that will make women act right. A wise shepherd keeps wandering dogs in a cage and restless cattle on a ranch.

8. It is fine and well If you don't want to play the game because it is deregulated. However, no matter how much you harangue your sermon from now till the end of the world, men desire women and women desire men. You can't remove the need for sex and genetic propagation from their psyche, one way or the other, they will still find themselves cuddling and fvcking.

9. You hate the game doesn't mean that the game will avoid you, you will still feel the effect either directly or indirectly. You will be affected by the wins and losses of the alphas and betas playing the game; you don't like it but it will never stop coming to you.

Nothing is set in stone when it comes to sexual relationship, but it better to deal with the best and fail than accept failure by dealing with the worse.

10. I don't know what you and zabiboy are smoking but one thing I know for sure is that both of you and your likes are not smoking the right thing; it is expedient you change your dealer.

Thanks.

Your analogy in point 2 just dey bust my head

The scope of this question is different, so I answered accordingly. Different strokes for different folks.

If you're broke scatter, with nothing going for you in naija, then my dear comrade, japa when the opportunity arises. But if you're making 5k a month, you'll be an idiot to kill that source of income and leave.

Hence I hinted that he should try to be location independent and have options. I mean, of what use is your money if it doesn't directly benefit your life? Money is not the end result, money is just a tool to the end.

So if a person is sick and wealthy, and refuses to spend his money on his health, the person is stupid. With the way naija is going, anyone on that earning bracket should secure options outside Nigeria.

Learn from your politicians, celebrities, and pastors. Their have houses abroad, their kids studies abroad and have reserve cash to leave naija the next six hours by booking emergency flight. Some sickness can't be cured in Nigeria if naija is your cash cow, so you must have plans to leave immediately.

I get your point chief.

Jesus man, what do you take me for? I can live really well in Nigeria for less than 20% ( equivalent of 1.7M naira) of that monthly. So with 10k, of course yes.

But even more brilliantly, I'll just live with my parents/sibling house and use probably 9k out of the 10k to invest in numerous entrepreneurial project I have in mind.

I'm fruggal by nature, and don't spend money on reckless things. So even 1k monthly is even enough for me. But just giving me 10k to ball monthly in naija, na overnight alpha male na grin

This doesn't sound like the pansophist that has been encouraging us to japa grin

pansophist:
Yes, but more of ''one leg in, one leg out''

Secure and solidify your earnings, to be location independent if possible. Then secure residency elsewhere, for immediate japa, just in case. Nigeria is sweet to live in when you know you can just book a flight and leave tomorrow if mosquitoes bite you.

So do not put all your eggs in one basket. Money is useless if it is not utilized to make your life better. So use your money to buy options, and maybe another passport. Before the war, Ukraine used to be a place where with 1500 USD, you can register a business there and receive a residence permit, and after five years, you can become Ukrainian, with a passport to travel all around the world visa-free.

There are other countries that still do that (e.g Panama, Serbia, Hungary), so explore these options. But don't abandon your work to slave abroad. Even in Scandinavian countries, most people earn around 3000 euros. With 5000 USD monthly, Nigeria can be heaven, but only if Nigeria is not your only option.

Would you hesitate to stay in Nigeria if you had a job that paid like $10K a month?

Rejection from a woman (or even anyone) should be like water on a duck's feather, you dust it off and move on. But to effectively move on, you must be a man with options, that's the catch. Rejection pains a lot when the rejecter knows you can not do better, and if you look deep inside your heart, that's exactly what is burning you. She is a prize, but the only prize you can get.

This is priceless

pansophist:
If you can easily get a woman way more attractive than her and can get her tomorrow, you won't be pained. In fact, she won't leave because your value that attracts other women will make her stay. I also guess you are young, probably in your 20s, if this is the case, then calm down and just focus on work. For men generally, the '20s are the age of rejection for the majority. In fact, there are more virgin males in their 20s than women. Men rule in their 30 and beyond, and women rule in their 20's/

This is golden

pansophist:
Understand the game and stop having misplaced sadness. Pursue your destiny now like you die tomorrow so that in your 30s, you will be the eligible suitor's girls like your ex will be after. I confess dear brethren, it is sweet. grin

pansophist:
Her rejection is merely a confirmation/result of your defeat status which you are probably not conscious of. Most likely because you haven't done the work to be attractive. The guy she left you for might have been you, years ago, who knows? I remember when I was in high school and the boyfriends of my female classmates will wait for them outside the school during closing hours, some come with cars, and some when you see them, they look so sophisticated.

@op read this twice everyday; when you get up in the morning, and when you're about to sleep

pansophist:
Back then, I know say I didn't stand a chance, in fact, toasting no de mind sef because fear no gree us. The frustration on our faces then as boys, we are just expendables and have nothing of value to us except that we are 'sentient-semen'. But right now, the oppression we got back then, we are doing it to younger boys now grin

So my guy, calm down, life na turn by turn. Go and pay your own price, then oppress the upcoming generations of young boys. Its a rite of passage. Imagine make Ned Nwoko as he old reach, he still de oppress young men, that how good a man have it. I come in peace.

You might need to make your portfolio much more presentable. It's not that great.

Making this sort of threads on nairaland would hardly bring anything. You need to start applying to Jobs. Most of your time should be on job sites to know which companies are recruiting. A few banks just concluded thier first stage tech assessment. Did you apply to any? Microsoft was recruiting computer science graduates straight to the usa like two months ago. Did you apply? Bloomberg is currently recruiting enmass. Have you applied? You need to be very attentive to know when the information for these jobs are out so you can apply to them.

Aside cold applying you also should start networking with fellow devs in the industry. When their companies are recruiting they can refer and recommend you. Finding a job is a job on its own.

Lastly how ready are you for a tech interview, you need to be on interview preparation mode now as opportunities are very few as a beginner so you need to be able to pass the few you can get.

OP read tensa's last paragraph well. What he's saying is grind DSA like your life depends on it, that's if you wanna get an edge over other applicants.

I don't know if the 500K was saved during your service year, but it shows that you are hardworking and committed. Do not rush to invest into any business whatsoever, starting and running a business in this current economic state is much more difficult than we think.

I would advice that you stay put wherever you are, don't come to Lagos yet. If you have a laptop, fine... If you don't have, get one and start learning a high paying skill, I'll suggest web development whilst still hustling by the side. After like 9 months to 1 year of serious learning, you should be job ready. You may then decide to come to Lagos, if you choose to, or stay wherever you are.

There are 3 things I said I'll look for on any woman I'll get married to; Trust, ambition/goal oriented and drive. That's all I want in my future wifey. I'm not asking for much.

It's very difficult to see (Nigerian) ladies these days that are ambitious and driven. The ultimate goal of a lot of our ladies is just to get married, once they've gotten married and had kids, that's it. Not that having marriage as a goal is bad, but c'mon there are more to life than just getting married.

I really feel for the op, it can be very frustrating spending one's life with someone who's lukewarm, unambitious and just so satisfied with what life throws at them. I really feel for you op, I pray the Lord save your marriage. If you hadn't had kids, divorce would have been the best. But you have kids already, just look at them and see how divorce would affect them.

Prison in Norway is posher than the houses of many of your politicians. You would think after stealing so much money, they live like humans, but no, broke prisoners in Norway live in better conditions than them. Prison should rehabilitate you, not destroy your will to live and make you bitter during release, something Norway (and the Nordics generally understands).

I also know a guy that was a prisoner, he have to serve for some hours every weekend, then live his normal life as a dignified human. In fact, if you get a speed ticket in Norway, you will have to pay a fine or serve some days in prison, and usually, you have to book an appointment in advance for a slot to serve your sentences. So no police slapping and insulting you because of a crime.

We might be equal as humans, but culturally, some people are actually superior to others.

Na why I talk say I must study in Norway by all means(legit)
