Alj Uche: zone is long died
it is only sensable for tinubu and other ACN members to make Ngige the new senate president when he enters power. and try and make him and fashola for 2019 that is if buhari wins buhari is not winning tho. |

Justcash: That is why you should not engage in this discourse with me, because you don't know what transpired in Nairaland when ACN was announced to be in hot pursuit of APGA in Anambra state. Your ethnic folks like fstranger called Igbos fools because we were voting vigorously for Ngige who was ACN's candidate in Anambra. They taunted and insulted Igbos, as if it was Yorubas that were voting in Anambra. They even went as far as saying that ACN will dominate Igboland. So, I went to play my part to ensure that it would never happen. We are seeing the result. Our dear Dora Akunyili has clinched the ticket. People seem to under-estimate the power of the internet. Mind you, the election dint have to be rigged for Dora to win. Just propaganda did the work. what is ur problem lol |

^^ what are you talkin about
there was never a time i said yorubas are "dominating nigeria" - I dont care who is controlling nigeria even if it is a ghanian as along as SW is safely in the kitty of ACN im fine.
and ACN having a presence in other states im fine with that |
Politics › Re: But For Buhari/tinubu, Nigeria Would Have Become One-party State by sbeezy8: 12:22am On Apr 11, 2011 |
this is really game changer for GEJ cause people in the SW might just vote for ribadu and ride the already growing ACN train.

Politics › Re: All Hail Tinubu . The New Undiputed Heavyweight Champion Of The Sw. by sbeezy8: 12:18am On Apr 11, 2011 |
Justcash: Infact, ACN got more chance of winning in Akwa Ibom, than in Anambra. I am really not against Ngige winning, I am against ACN winning. Funny enough, the sole reason is to deflate your bloated egos, and show you'all how painful regional and tribal politics is. As at thursday to Friday morning, I dint care who would win, until late Friday, before voting ended. Your noise was too loud and irritating. PDP also gave ACN a hot chase in some areas of Lagos. So, what is your point? APGA won votes in Lagos too. So, you have no point. where did apga win votes in lagos beside a few people? I would think since igbo are 80% as some ibos claim than the top parties would include apga. but the top parties in lagos are ACN PDP LB if ACN is such a tribal party why does their tribal party have presence in every non yoruba state. even states in the north it was either CPC PDP ACN or ANPP. hahaha i dey laugh i lof ibo peeps yo |

^^ thanks
if ACN is a yoruba party fine, if ACN is a national party fine, if ACN is a party full of disney character buggs bunny, mickey mouse and cinderella fine.
doesnt really matter. the post has to do with Tinubu in the SW - he is a heavyweight |
Politics › Re: Between Igbo, Yoruba And Other Nigerian Women. What Is It With Igbo Women? by sbeezy8: 11:44pm On Apr 10, 2011 |
Alj Uche: yes of course but you counted about 50 ethnic group against igbo
i have seen a lot of yoruba women married to igbo men
mostly in lagos individually there are more yoruba women married to edos alone, and urhobos alone than ibo. FACT which is why many have yoruba names add all the minorty tribes together that yoruba women married it will still be more than marrying from ibo- even dispite the fact they are minority tribes. and im not even talkin of lagos but edo state delta state benue kogi kaduna niger - states where there are minority tribes. they can marry who ever the hell they want yoruba ibo hausa edo ghana even chinese doesnt stop yoruba in anyway |
Politics › Re: Between Igbo, Yoruba And Other Nigerian Women. What Is It With Igbo Women? by sbeezy8: 11:37pm On Apr 10, 2011 |
EzeUche: Exactly! There are more Igbo women in this world than Igbo men. Of course we want our women to marry. And since it not that many Igbo men to go around, they should look for other groups.
The way this guy acts, it would seem that Yoruba women do not marry outside Yorubas but that is a lie. I seen many Yoruba women with whites and Igbos as well. thats not true majority of yoruba women who marry outside yoruba marry edo urhobos and hausas as well as other nigerian tribes + ghanian togo etc whites also but def not as much ibo (could be growing) . esp edo and urhobo which is why many of the mid westerners have yoruba names given by their grandmothers or mothers. to the point people the number of yoruba women married to edos and urhobos hausas other northern minority tribes is far more than those married to ibo men - FACT. |

EzeUche: Who wants ACN involved in their state, when they are associated with Do or die politics? We do not need that in the East. obviously edo plateau akwa ibom does lol the battle in the middle belt and niger delta was between the acn and pdp apga isnt even known in the states around iboland - cross akwa delta benue |

dayokanu: Breaking news.
ACN a "Yoruba party" won 1 federal constituency in far away Akwa Ibom.
Still waiting for APGA to come second anywhere outside of Ibo speaking areas ACN won 2 seats in plateau also if im not mistaken |

Politics › Re: Anambra central senatorial Election: Dora Akunyili (APGA) vs Chris Ngige of ACN by sbeezy8: 6:39pm On Apr 10, 2011 |
Obiagu1: Don't confuse tribalism with the need to create opposition. SW only vote SW. In the North, they have PDP, ANPP, CPC, in the SE they have PDP, PPA, APGA, in the SS they have PDP, DPP, ACN and in the SW they have ACN It should be balanced! By the way, how is the region more developed than others? Thank God for former capital of the federal republic of Nigeria. sw has LB aswell. but how does voting for a nationsal party benefit the SW? its better to vote for any regional party when the "national" one has failed. presidential votes in the will be split between GEJ the clown, buhari the old man, and ribadu the clueless. |
Politics › Re: All Hail Tinubu . The New Undiputed Heavyweight Champion Of The Sw. by sbeezy8: 6:27pm On Apr 10, 2011 |
Gbawe: That is the point I make to idealist SW folks who cannot pragmatically see what must be seen. Real opposition politics in Nigerian , that will be effective, requires those who can match the PDP , strategy for strategy . Many men can be effective Politicians (eg Fashola) but very few have the stomach, like Tinubu, for the dirty work that must be put in to fight a very wicked and callous ruling Party. true |

ekt_bear: This is pretty much the same thing I've seen. From what I've experienced here in the US (as a guy who has lived here almost his entire life) they aren't too different from everyone else. Not really different from the other Africans, Nigerians, Caribbeans, AAs you'll meet at top schools. . . no overwhelming numerical advantage. . . in fact, most of the time no numerical advantage.
It was only when I started reading Nairaland that I heard of this Igbos as übermenschen theory. If you read Nairaland alone, you'll get the impression that they are pretty much Jews (who are imo are on average a cut above the rest), immigrant Koreans/Chinese/Indians/Persians, or some other extremely high-achieving, badass group.
Who knows, maybe things are different in naija. I've not really observed this personally from my visits, though. im in US basically all of my life and in my classes ive not really noticed the difference but right now I have more classes with yorubas in them. but ive had classes with plenty of edo as well. dont really see any difference even compared to other international students esp ghanians jamos and trinis cant lie when it comes to academic and politics they are up there aswell as entertainment stuvs. NL is my first time of hearing this. I think Nigerians in general like to hype themselves up compared to other countries and within nigeria they like to hype their tribes ups. when really they are average. @ post the only thing ive noticed about ibo women is many marry non ibo guys- yoruba hausa edos urhbos white etc. |
Politics › Re: Between Igbo, Yoruba And Other Nigerian Women. What Is It With Igbo Women? by sbeezy8: 1:10pm On Apr 10, 2011 |
^^^ nonsense yorubas marry women from any tribe or country. Ive seen and kno more yorubas who have edo, egun or urhobo calabar, ghanian, salone etc mothers than ibo though there is a growing number.
As for Fani Kayode= he makes no sense and I being here in the US dont really see the difference between ibo, yoruba edo calabar girls going to school as well as them compared to ghanians, sierra leonian, jamaicans trinis etc.
but i would say its harder for any woman in yorubaland to succeed in politics business etc . . if ur father is not known or popular MEN esp in yorubaland WILL take advantage of young ladies.
I also think there are more males in yorubaland. well in my family the yorubaside atleast there are DEF more males who are married to non yoruba ladies while the women are married to yoruba males. |
