lawani: The point is that there are no Hausa Fulani in Kwara. The Sulu Gambari by the name are Yoruba of Hausa descent. The Oshodi are Yoruba of Nupe descent and etc etc. Ilorin can not be forced, they will decide their fate to either stay alone or join their other Yoruba same with Ijesha, Ijebu and co. I believe Bariba should have a state with their lands in Niger state, Kwara and Benin republic probably with New Bussa as capital. The Tapa should take their land in Kwara and Niger, same with Igala and Ebira in Kogi. Yes there is Fulani in Kwara, In Ilorin there are still traditional Fulani families that see themselves as nothing other than Fulani. As for the rest of your comments, you are right on point, let everyone face their destinies. |

lawani: What about Jebba, 100 km North of Ilorin in both Kwara and Niger state? If Ilorin want to be on their own, how can that be possible when they are encircled by the Igbomina, Jebba and Bariba? The Bariba were not conquered by the Fulani jihad due to their alliance with the Oyo in the 19th century while the Tapa were partly conquered and many Bariba and Tapa speak Yoruba naturally though many dont speak. The landowners in Kwara are Ibolo (Yoruba), Igbomina (Yoruba), Oyo (Yoruba), Bariba and Tapa. In Niger it is Tapa, Gwari, Bariba, Yoruba and maybe some Hausa. In Kogi West, we have Yoruba mainly but in Lojoja various groups like Tapa, Yoruba lay claim to the place. What I am simply trying to tell you is that, An independent Yoruba nation will be based on the South Western agenda. You should realize that decades of many of the Northern Yoruba groups frolicking with the Hausas and Fulanis have led to a change of ideology. The kings of Kaiama and Okuta are Emirs, not traditional titles, the Kings of Pategi and Lafiagi are also Emirs. Out of the sixteen local governments in Kwara state, 12 are Yoruba, 2 is Baruten (Bariba) and 2 is Nupe (Tapa). The Kwara state part of Jebba are in Moro local government which is one of the Yoruba LGAs and while they migh be Yoruba, their willingness will be the main determining factor here. As for Kogi, the Yorubas there know their areas, Lokoja Local government is half Yoruba, the other half is shared between the Kakanda, Bassa and others. |

lokoloko84: I am surprised as well.Left to me,a yoruba nation must include the current six states in SW and the yorubas' in kogi. I am not totally keen about those in kwara based on historical facts. You meant Kwara North and Kwara central. Kwara south (Igbominas and Ekitis) are on board. |

lawani: There is a need for secession. We need our own army and police and control over our future and economy. We are one of the major ethnic groups in the world and we deserve to be a sovereign nation. IPOB want to break Nigeria, Boko Haram want to break Nigeria. This is the time to do it. No need for negativity. Nnamdi Kanu is in prison. Boko Haram are killing and bombing. We need to opt out and probably ask Bariba and Nupe, and Egun in Benin to go with us, then delineate the new country into traditional states, Ijesa, Ijebu, Ibarapa, Ibolo, Egun , Bariba, Oyo, Ife, Awori, Egba, Igbomina, Ibadan, Oke Ogun, Ogbomosho, Ekiti, Akoko, totalling around 20 traditional states with their own admin and a level of independence. Nations should be formed only by people who can easily allign interests. The Yoruba are one with same language, culture, origin and traditional theology. So there is a basis for being together unlike Nigeria where we dont speak a common language. For example many Hausas even down South here speak no Yoruba or English yet the Fon in Benin republic speak. We need to be steadfast about it. Which Nupe are you talking? The Same Nupes still fighting your people in tsaragi? Yorubas are going it alone.... we won't be asking anybody and anyone interested will be partaking based on our terms. We aren't lacking anything, what exactly do we need from Nupes and Baribas? |

With the Hausa/Fulani exporting their religion using a holy war in the guise of cattle rearing southwards and the sophisticated cowards printing the e-passport at Ikeja Under bridge
The Ghanians have been smart, seeing the zoo has fallen
The west african gas pipeline and the Trans saharan gas pipeline are all examples of the stupidity of the black man in the zoo
The idiots piped gas from escravos to tema and lome while communities in Mbiama and okrika were living in darkness, cannot pump drinking water and fetch cooking water from the same water body where they pass faeces
Be rest assured that a long border fence will be built to keep the Northerners from the zoo out!!! Are you from Escravos? Escravos na itsekiri land, and the local communities there like Ogidigben and Ugborodo enjoy constant electricity. Speak for your community. |

bezimo: Unfortunately, people like you in your narrow, local and tribalistic mind are a major part of the reason why Nigeria, a country with so much potential find it difficult to unite, put differences aside, promote collective good and interest and achieve its greatness like developed Nations and take its position as number 1 in Africa and a major force in the world. The firm is called local because they behave like one. LOL.... this guy keeps making me chuckle, every time he replies to my comments. THE firm is a local firm not because of anything but where it is located and who it serves. A firm located in New York is local to New York, while a London firm is based in that LOCALITY. If they want to employ people from LOCAL schools around where their company is located, how is that your effing problem....... Companies are meant to serve their communities, it is called community/regional empowerment. By the way, who told you that only people from Yoruba tribe are students of Covenant, OAU, Bowen, UI, UNILAG etc? Ignoramus. |

I am not tribalistic, people from my tribe are open minded and accommodating unlike yours because we believe in the Unity of Nigeria. That local firm is setting a bad precedent for which if followed by other regions would not be good. Yes, I am a misguided and narrow minded man from the local osun state which is headed by the bearded clueless man....... lol......... buffoon This "LOCAL" firm is not setting any precedence, As this has been going on among PRIVATE employees for ages, it is not a new development, Ode. The Igala will prefer to have their own nation rather hyan be a minority anywhere, so far they are not going to be open to any disadvantage whatsoever.
