ElsonMorali: A respected Yoruba leader may be able to rally the Yorubas because they have a history of throwing their weight behind a leader, but how will that work in the east exactly?
There's no love lost there. The only true leader that could have done this was labeled a coward and a backstabber and is still being cursed and vilified today by children whose parents weren't even born yet during the civil war. Yet all he did was advise them to toe the path of dialog instead of war.
Rest in peace great sage, Obafemi Awolowo. "The best President Nigeria never had". as i said...keeping being aggressive...the east already want out....all we need is for u to push yorubas to the wall so they too will want out...once that happens...the rest will be written in history. Its beyond ur power....u cant stop fulani herdsmen from being aggresssive...u are just a political commentator...so u cant do much to stop the tide...their agression will trigger a response soon from the yorubas...i know this because this is not 1967...everybody don wise up and yorubas now have lagos and oil wont be around much longer too...all we need is for u guys to trigger a response from yoruba...the east will take it from there |

If you can't see that blaming the entire North for the crimes and sins of a select few who are not even up to .05% of the total northern population is crazy, then I really can't help you.
The average northerner goes about his daily work like the average southerner, hustling to make ends meet to keep his family fed and sheltered.
You want to wage war against them, go right ahead. I hope you'll be in the forefront carrying your AK47 or Uzi. the bolded is not true. But let me ask u...it was ok to massacre 30,000 people and cut open pregnant women in 1967 because of kaduna nzeogwu's madness? Have any northerner appologised for that? Are u not running around gloating about it? Have northerners not repeated it over and over since they 1st did it in 1967? Are u not repeating it now? About being in the fore front, u have not been paying attention to wat am saying...if u are coming to kill me in my house, do i fight and die or run and still die? If northerners are trooping to enugu daily and killing farmers, do u think i wont kill one of them myself if i have to? Do u not realise that once i kill one in self defence that i have become a killer capable of killing even more and with that...i could lose my humanity and gentlemanity and lead a platoon if i have to? I dont pray for war because i have a lot at stake in nogeria, houses, lands and family...but fulani's are begining to really rally the south....and believe me i will be rallied |

ElsonMorali: I'll bet you think war is something like the movies where after the director yells cut, the man on then floor soaked with ketchup gets up, get paid and goes home.
The people I fear for the most are the Easterners because of their more adventurous spirit they've settled and built houses in the North. The northerner just has his poly bag and he is ready to relocate back to the north.
My comment is instructive. If you think some people will just sit in their houses and be hearing of the war from their television sets, then you are not aware of what is going on in Nigeria.
There's a way to deal with this without sacrificing your southern brothers and sisters and their kids to northern killers.
The north has never hesitated to kill mercilessly, unlike the south that shout online.
I will keep advising caution.
If vigilantes are to be employed, make sure that only killer herdsmen are dealt with summarily. Do not include all northerners or all Fulanis for that matter.
And if Nigeria is going to split, it should be done peacefully.
We only know when war begins, no one knows when it'll end. u can advise...but listen and listen good...nobody has monopoly for violence...and when u push someone close to the edge he will either fight and die or not fight and still die. The north has been pushing the south...we are nearing the edge...and wen we do, the killing of northernrs will start from the west and spread to the east. U can reply by killing all the southerners in the north....including my own bloods..they are long dead to me for being foolish to go establish in the north after the events of 1967. The victory for the south will not come from how many northerners killed...no. it will come from finally destroying nigeria and dissociating itself from the backward north. The goal of the war will not be to kill northeners till they surrender...no. its independence of the southern tribes. Keep offending the south and counting on wat happened in 1967 to happen again...it wont |

myobjective: Stop rewriting history, we are all not comfortable with the security problem and all the myriad of the problem affecting the north today but the truth still remains that the Biafra war was caused mainly by Igbo political elites that want to dominate the Nigeria state.
The military coupe of 1966, was an Igbo coupe that effect leaders from other ethnic groups, the aftermath of the coupe show the real intention of the Igbos, from the unitary government of ironsi to the marginalisation of other ethnic groups.
The north never disgrace awolowo, Nigerians play politics of sentiment, people vote base on either religion ( north) or tribe (south), Igbos are also as guilty as northerners in denying awolowo the presidency.
Bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen are as a result of the failure of government, deep extreme religious intolerance in the north, poverty and illiteracy. It wasn't directly created by the north to keep Nigeria backward.
The igbos, yorubas and the Hausas are all guilty in mind Nigeria what it is today, stop blaming the northerners alone yen yen yen....no wahala...we want to leave the union and forge our own part...we dont want to dominate nigeria again...u guys can hold onto it. California has air traffic passengers of 16Million, while Nigeria as a country struggles with less than half of that. remind me again the real (not inflated cost) of an airport and why each state in nigeria shouldnt aspire to have one. Apart from the telecommunication and rader tech, an airport is actually basically a bus station. The cost of a basic airport shouldnt be more than $3m. Does it occur to u that why there are less ppl using air in nigeria is because of inadequate investment in air travel. If there are 37 airports in nigeria and up to 10 local airlines as massive as airpeace, they can force air fairs down to say 15k from lag to abj....tell me why the millions of nigerians making daily travels on deadly, herdsmen-infested high ways wont put a little extra and fly? |

My Dad is Delta and Mom IMO.if everybody splits, where does that leave me and my relatives from both sides of the family tree. Biafra will not be better than current Nigeria setup unless there is rule of law, enlightened and educated populace. See the mess Rocha's did in Imo. See the eyesore ABA has become from the era of Orji Uzo Kali, Port Harcourt is a gangster paradise and we accept it as it is. Delta state is a joke being paraded from hand to hand by Ibori cronies. Until we stand for the right values, nothing will change. We do not give attention to educational policies, now university cut off marks are hovering at 160+ from my time in mid 90s it was 400s. All the regions are guilty of this. Until there is rule of law , where criminals and civil civil crimes are punished irrespective of class, even if we break down to garden of Eden, the corrupt system will danage it. wirinet: Why not give the details of the new form of government he intents to invent. Kanu can say he wants to invent a perpetual motion device, the problem is the details of how. Talk is cheap and easy.
Britain is confederation made up of 4 separate countries. England is not divided politically along tribal lines. There are no nation states like saxons nation, anglia nation,,cell nation, etc in England. England is politically divided for administrative convenience and not for tribal convenience.
EU started out as an economic union, but morphed into a quasi political union, yet it is still not a sovereign state. They are all still independent sovereign states with some having different monetary, defence and foreign policy. You should be comparing EU with ECOWAS and not any federation or confederation. The EU is governed by treaty and not a constitution.
It was not Gowon that truncated the 4 regions, it was General Aguiyi Ironsi through Unification Decree 34 of 1966. Before that decree, each region was governed by a premier and was semi autonomous. At the centre, the prime minister was the head of government and was supposed to report to the president. But the British ensured the president was useless and only ceremonial by conferring the head of state on the prime minister, which was an anomaly, a minister should be reporting to the president and not the other way round.
You really need to get some education on Nigeria's history. u are really a poor student...a very poor student. 1. British govt is exactly a govt divided up along tribes. The so called 4 countries in britain are simply the original 4 tribes that formed the country. Wales population is not even as high as ijaw population or even isoko. They called their tribes ''nations'' and call yours tribes and u buy it. Kiddo. 2. Read about the E.u again. It has nothing to do with ecowas. Pls dont argue stupidly. Read about the E.u right nw. The system that is ''E.u'' is a new and unique political system not found anywhere else and it has a president and a parliament and its a very major political entity. Read it for ur own good. 3. If aguiyi terminated the 4 regions, wat position did ojukwu hold? Who was ojukwu again? Gowon's deputy? No who was ojukwu pls? For ur info and to cure ur stupidity which i believe is delibrate(cus i dont want to believe u are really stupid) the 4 regions continued to exist until gowon ended it and replaced them with 12 states. Aguiyi only created the unification decree 34 to allow him appoint regional govs. If he didnt create the decree then he wont have any legal backing to be the one to detamine who the 4 regional govs would be. LongThickPenis: You cannot blame descendants for crimes committed by their ancestors especially where the affected parties ' ancestors were implicitly complicit. For example, everyone blames whites for slave trade, but Africans were their source of slaves who raided hinterlands and war conquered territories with slave parties to supply coastal slave ports. The Port Harcourt Briggs family wealth was from slave trading. Yes the descendants have benefited from the atrocities but those close to the then Briggs merchant supported him for pecuniary gain The point I'm trying to make is that, we are stronger as a people of diverse origins and if anyone like KANU wants to change the system, he should come home sell his non divisive ideas to the people and if they buy into it, will vote for him. Not hide in a foreign country and incite rebellion. He accuses Nigeria of being a British business contraption yet hides in Israel that is a political fraud to inflict the same barbaric policies on Palestinians. All this talk of splitting should stop. The most advanced countries are those that embrace diversity will.g. USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, they had the most colonies back then. These nations have blacks, whites, Moslems, Christians, Asians, other religions, yet prosper. Not our holier than thou attitude that seeks to divide and rule for selfish reasons. are the north ready to live and let live? They cause all thesw talk of division. In 1966 a few igbos along with soldiers from other tribes did a coup....the north replied by killing 30,000 igbos living in the north...that was hw biafra was born.
