please my brother, this not tribal matter this is about our nation. How to balance government for the betterment of all of u, as no one is better than the other ie PDP and ACN without proper checkmating.
Politics › Re: Is Tinubu(a.c.n) Enemy Of Gej(p.d.p) Or A True Opposition Leader? by seunfly(op): 6:41am On Sep 08, 2012
Zeus I: He has no idea what he is to GEJ. A bit confused, nay?
well may be they(ACN) don't know who they to to the nation, but we have to make them(ACN) know it especialy when there no other credible and strong opposition party to do so for now.
Politics › Is Tinubu(a.c.n) Enemy Of Gej(p.d.p) Or A True Opposition Leader? by seunfly(op): 11:41pm On Sep 07, 2012
Opposition party is an unofficial arm of democracy which checkmate government of a ruling party, since they don't have government aparatus to do so, media is thier best option. In any healthy democracy criticising the ruling gov/party is necessary , as it remind them that peaple are taking stock of thier activities which may force them to perform better. Nigeria have five main opposition parties which are ACN, CPC, APGA, LP and ANPP. Cpc lost it face value as a credible opposition party when it orchestrated post election violence that claim lives of inocent corp members in some part of her stronghold, while APGA seems to wine and dine with ruling party that it suppose to checkmate, LP and ANPP are battling to stay alive. The mantle of true opposition fell on ACN(TINUBU) which they are doing very well, however Nigerians and government seems to take critisism to be enemity due to prolong military rule.
Conclution we should think deeply about opposition criticisms and use them to hold ruling government into ransome to demand for better leadership from them, while the ruling party should take the criticism fairly and step up thier leadership for the betterment of the common man.

redsun: They don't have to stael it at all, dont you get it.A thief is a thief and liable to persecution and punishment in accordance with the law,no matter how rich or poor the culprit is or how big or small the theft is.
Yes you are right, but they stole the money and we could not persecute them, are we still going to let them invest it outside and create job with our stolen wealth overthere? Seriously what happen has happen we have to take advantage of thier free stolen wealth(intrest free) to generate employment and develope our economy rather than castigate them which may discurage those theives from investing it here. IF ALL THE STOLEN WEALTH OF THIS COUNTRY HAVE BEEN INVESTED BACK, WE WOULD'NT BE WHARE WE ARE TODAY.
Politics › Re: PHCN Assets: IBB, Abdulsalami, Tinubu Lead Bid Battle by seunfly: 2:11pm On Sep 07, 2012
For me i think is a good thing atleast they steal our money and they invest it back in our country. Is it not better than before when they will keep it in banks abroad and our banks will be out of cash, they have refinary in south africa, venezuela, ivorycoast, europe etc and our own refinaries are not working, they have estates and highrise in dubai and our own peaple does not house to live and our cities are eyesore, Tinubu built road for Lagos with Lagos money with ppp(LCC) is better than not to have at all. I think we re getting there even though we are still very far sha.
Politics › Re: Terrorism: Telecom Firms Threaten To Cut Off North (Pics) by seunfly: 1:18pm On Sep 07, 2012
naptu2: Their goal is to control through fear.

1) Telecoms service providers are assisting the security services to crack down on "Boko Haram" by helping them trace and monitor calls. Solution - scare telecoms service providers so that they'll fear "Boko Haram" more than they fear the government and stop helping government.

2) Media organisations have been reporting government's successes in the war against "Boko Haram", citizens' rejection of "Boko Haram's" ideology and splits within the terrorist organisation. Solution - kill journalists, bomb media houses, etc so that they'll fear you. Proclaim that your name is not "Boko Haram" (actually boko haram is the nickname given to them by local people in Yobe and Bornu. Their name is actually People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet's Teachings and Jihad) and threaten to kill any journalist that calls you "Boko Haram".

3) Citizens of Kano have been aiding the SSS by identifying and reporting "Boko Haram" members. Solution - launch daring raids on Kano. Kill a lot of people in Kano. Distribute leaflets stating that you will kill any Kano resident that identifies/reports "Boko Haram" members.

4) The SSS has been the most successful security agency in the fight against "Boko Haram". Solution - publish the SSS pension and personnel roll to show them that you know who they are, where they are and can hit them anytime you want. This should strike terror in their hearts.

We need to unite to confront and defeat this "Boko Haram" monster.
This is the kind of peaple i lyke to chat with and i lyke your analogy. I hope peaple, government, northerners and relevant angencies can reason and act it so as to defeat all chalenges facing our belove country.

May that is America, but in Nigeria that means alot you will exprisoner, unpopular lecturer or an humble biz man, pastor, a big islamic scholar will become president, minister and governor and they will become so insensitive to peaple, theif of the highest oder, political engineer etc. So may be she can hold that thought to her self and America but not Nigeria or Africa.
Politics › Re: How Did Ijaw Become The 4th Largest Ethnic Group by seunfly: 9:24am On Sep 06, 2012
torkaka: you missed the point, the reason why people are calling ijaw now is because of political headship and oil! if you doubt look back 15years ago, did anyone mention ijaw in political, social or reasonable discuss? tivs, nupes and igalas were heard of! and just to correct you, it is nupes that hide behind hausa/fulani influence! the tivs of benue don't speak hausa and don't have affirnities with them! the same can be said of igalas who lean more southwards!
well you seem like you did not get me i said it before that everything is politics if you read it very well. Howeve tivs and igala or others may not speak hausa just like other tribes in the north but politicaly they have not break away from hausa/fulani, today tell me an 5igala man or 5tiv and any other tribe from north that stand alone as his tribe in politic and office especialy federal institution. Igala man tend to be southern outside office and politic likewise other tribes in the north and this tend to give more relevance to hausa/fulanis and reduce thiers.
Politics › Re: How Did Ijaw Become The 4th Largest Ethnic Group by seunfly: 7:48am On Sep 06, 2012
So I forgot Kanuri too.

In my opinion, this is what population in Nigeria looks like:

1/2/3. Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa-Fulani in some ordering
4. Akwa Ibom/CR groups
5. Edoids if you consider them one group
6. Tiv
7. Kanuri
8/9. Igala/Nupe
10. Ijoid groups?

Something roughly like this, I suppose?

Basically even if you consider Akwa Ibom/X-river folks as all distinct ethnicities, Edoids all as distinct ethnicities, clearly Tiv, Kanuri, Igala and Nupe are legitimate significant population groups, each more numerous than Ijaw.
i think the problen with tiv, nupe, igala, kanuri and co is that they tend to hide behind hausa/fulani population. This have reduced thier importance and prominence rather it transfer all relivance to hausa /fulani e.g a man from niger, nasarawa, taraba, pleatue, adamawa, kaduna, gombe etc will be asumed to be hausa/fulani. Whare as in south, ijaw stood alone, ishekiri, ogoni, kwere, calabar etc also stand alone this give them identity and relivance in political considration and don't forget every thing is politic (population figure, resource, religion, language and ethnicity). Other thing is that ijaw tend to have more children than any other tribes in southern Nigeria so in the last 20years they came from little to explosion.

Seriously i think this garri peaple ar getting out of hand, they will just jump into honest, insigthfull and important discussion with garri palava sometimes it makes me think about what is happening to Nigeria. Our leaders are distroying the present and siphoning the future, the youth are not serious about the present niether think about future. MAY BE SEUN should provide them with GARRI SECTION so when thier mate is talking about how to move Nigeria forward they can be discussing on GARRI.

Op's theory may not be acceptable to many especialy ladeis but everybody knows that this is the truth. Infact in my group or caucus we call it power once you loose it your relationship is like a car without brake which no one can predict the end. Open relationship dat many especialy girls advocate for is only for mature, deep religious and old girls who does need to play game or know what she wanted. Others about 90% needs this Op's control or power as we call it in my group to make it work.

Generaly Abuja is very expensive to live, as there is no place to manage and if u try to find a place like papee , gwagwa, lugbe, dutse etc next thing is that you will be demolished by monster called FCDA then no where to hang around. How ever you can easily find your bearing in Lagos place like AJEGUNLE, MUSHIN, ABULE EGBA, IKOTUN, AKUTE ETC where u will be king and no FCDA to demolish and buldozerise you. BUT IF YOU WAN TRESPASS GO BANANA ISLAND that is when you go knw say you are not a Nigerian. BANANA ISLAND is more expensive than ASOKORO and MAITAMA PUT TOGETHER.

that is true even though Hon minister need to do alot interms of road furnitures, public toilet especialy wuse park and barger also the central city needs serious discongestion especialy ruthless and careless ARABA driver. But the city is glamorous, beautifull, and elegant which boost of the most modern buildings in Africa (wikipedia), beautifull landscape design especialy raining season, well organised city(elrufai bus and subsidy bus) it has the best road west africa and only j borg can beat it interm of road. Human by nature is adventurous, always checking or wish to check out new things ie food, house, cities, places, including knowledge and every thing you attach emotion to. U may have mango tree infront of your house but u will like to taste the red mango at back yard of a friend's house, but as a higher animal we have to limit this tendency, know when to exhibit the tendecy and when not to.

Yes, again average Nigerian always blame somebody for anything that happen just because we all want to tranfer our greviances on some one else, gov, boss, wife etc it is not that things are okay but we have to make constructive criticism acknowledge d good and point out the bad not blame game (Nigerian type) If rain fall too much it is gov, you dump refuse infront of your house and now flood it is gov, every thing is gov. No we have to know everybody's duty (you, i, and goverment) in the society. When last have u dischage ur own duty properly to the society.

Well social media are for uniting peaple of common character for good, but to be honest nairaland has done more damage than good for peaple of nigeria particularly the young ones, alot of peaple here are bitter, tribalist, sentimental, hypocrate and jugemental. They have succeed in making alot of peaple to be like them. B4 i never thouth of any tribal diffrences and wickness nor see any as bad, most of my friends in ilorin and lagos are igbos and have never see any diffrences btw us untill when i came to nairaland. Thread that will promote unity will not be on the front page but the one that will cause bashing of tribes, government, rich man, pastor, success, even damage Nigeria image will top the front page.

Nairaland has turn to a website for mockrey, condemnation, open place to show hatred, ethinic damaging, personality damaging, relegion intolerance, sensless posting, negativity in every aspect of our life etc. What is wrong with christ embassy billboard, giving birth on redemption camp, nasfat camp, somebody healing somebody etc we have to stop all this negativity and think positively otherwise we may continue in this way. For your info every negative you post on nairaland is posted all over d world. If u type anything about Nigeria on google nairaland will pop up and it is negative. Pls and pls let stop this and think the God want us to think.

Niaraland as turn to a site for mockery, condemnation, blind critisism, blame game, ethnic damaging, personality damaging, sensless posting etc. Social media are for public interaction that will lead to meanifull development through sharing of good ideas, bringing peaple (tribes, ethnic, religion etc) together for common purpose. But not nairaland what is wrong in christ embassy billboard, giving birth in redemption camp, Nasfat camp, somebody heal somebody etc that we alway criticise. my dear nairalanders we have to start seeing positivity in things rather negative all the time so that positive can also come our ways.
