Born2conquer: Is is about how far but well, it seems you all have been underestimating that university called FUNAAB and I won’t blame y’all, it’s because the school PR is low and it’s not situated in the center of Abeokuta.
My earlier comment was related to the GRANT ish and i will still maintain my stance on the fact that FUNAAB gets more GRANT than any other university in Nigeria.
In funaab, almost all the senior lecturers got grants ! Grants is like purewater because these guys are too sound!
Go to funaab site and check the publication, even FUNAAB produced the only recognized chicken breed in Nigeria which is FUNAAB alpha.
Do you know about the west africa CAVAA project? Bill gate and melinda grant is something almost all the senior lecturers and all professors have gotten. If yoh have a doubt, search KOLA ADEBAYO. Do you know the history of UNAAB (FUTAB/COSTAB), now FUNAAB? Do you know the relationship with the University of Lagos? UNILAG don't run an Agric faculty unlike other big universities. FUNAAB was effectively UNILAG's Faculty of Agric between 1984 through 1988. The achievements of both schools are celebrated but no basis for comparison. |

Jman06: Like I mentioned before, I wouldn't state people's names here or reveal more details about their grants since they didn't publicize it themselves. But if you insist my claim is false, that's akin to saying that only unilag's academics are capable of winning research grants, and you know that's not true! Don't mind them. Even me that I just won N1trillion naira in research grant I didn't announce it and used it judiciously until I woke up in the morning |

Dey suffer unaself under hot sun Dude, you can keep voting and still clamour for electoral reforms which ironically has to be pushed by your elected representatives. Why are we always trying to sound smart over nothing? Are your reps in your state house and national assembly from the North? Or your governor? Were they voted in by Northerners? Also, we have had Obasanjo a Southerner as president for 8 years and GEJ for 5+ years with both winning federal elections against Northerners in 2003 and 2011. A repeat of what MKO Abiola did in 1993. Stop being oversmart, let people know that they must register and they must vote. Hashtags won't work in Nigeria, most of our voters are not on twitter. |

Buhari for no step down if he was GEJ Imagine the comment of an online analyst These are stuff they fool people with in the 60s. Cows don't vote sir. Go out and vote if you want things to change, cooking up stories won't change any system and all those United Nations, CNN, Amnesty International etc won't help you. 2015 votes were counted with GEJ in charge of government and Buhari won, on what basis would GEJ say he won't step down? Votes count and that's a real life example staring at you. |

This thing no hard. Even if I be incumbent for naija, if I swear say I no go come down, nothing anyone can do to change things. The massive flock of security agents on election Day na formality? See eh, unless there is reform in the electoral process, all efforts na waste. It will always come down to incumbency You don't care about facts. Several incumbents have lost elections in Nigeria within the past 20 years alone but facts mean nothing to you. |

Totally agree with her. BuhariMustGo online based on what exactly? Election is 2023, go out there and vote and join others in protecting your vote. Also, democracy is not about election day - how involved are you, or you are just going about your normal activities with occasional internet noisemaking while some people are working day and night within some political party structures in your community? Nothing comes easy, enough with our lazy approach and excuses towards nation building. |

yungmill: Tithe is an obligation not a law that you can choose to take or ignore! It's giving 10% back to the house of GOD whom the the days of old would use it to maintain the temple and for community service like giving to the poor, widows and so on, but modern day pastors have deviated from it's true purpose though not all. Ok got you... but not entirely accurate. Tithing was recorded in the Old Testament before the law but was established in the law, so it's inaccurate to say it has nothing to do with the law - Leviticus 27:30-34. As you rightly stated, with the new testament the commandment of love transcends all these and there is no longer a need to encumber the people of God with an 'order' to support the church. Love will naturally motivate that in a way that manifests the real nature of God way beyond any form of coercion. ... and that brings us to this specific thread - God is love and killing someone for blasphemy is definitely not of God. |

If you read you would know that no christian follows the laws because it was fulfilled in christ hence the convenant of grace which has just two laws, love the LORD your GOD and love one another as GOD has loved us! Next time control your tongue and stop trying to be clever even by half! Stone kiss*r! That's what Daddy Freeze has been telling tithers who pick and choose from the old testament. |

Feggie3: If you people don't permit them to live their lives there will be more cases of pedophilia. Permit? Nobody forced anyone to join the priesthood. The rules are clear, if you cannot abide by those rules you have every right to leave. The rules did not change in the United States and pedophilia is practically a thing of the past now, at least in the Catholic Church. Scandals won't bring the church down, it will renew the church so no one should protect any fake priest by defending their actions. They are loved as children of God but the evil actions are not permitted. Erring priests are handed over to law enforcement with full cooperation of the diocese involved. Action is not limited to opening up such priests to punishments, clear and verifiable processes are now in place to ensure the safety of the faith communities via code of conduct that includes sexual misconduct training for all church employees and volunteers (priests, nuns, seminarians, lay employees) to ensure that everyone is held accountable. They have to go through those training every year. They all know what to do the moment they sense any antics of any troubled soul. Also, platforms are created for anonymous evaluation of priests, and there are also toll free numbers to reach bishops for complaints (note that these actions can't be concealed by the church as they serve as evidence of complicity if attempted). The church in Nigeria will soon get to that point soon especially with the level of internet reach that we have today. For the bad priests, it's not going to be business as usual anymore. People will expose you and this can't be waived off as blackmail. There won't be a case of blackmail in the first instance if you are not desecrating the altar of God. If you cannot obey the the rules of the church, you have to leave the priesthood and get married so you don't use the cover of the church to wreck havoc on innocent families who trust you as a priest. It's as simple as that. |

The link below is also one of the numerous acts done by Catholic priests
https://www.nairaland.com/6304524/copulating-catholic-priest-johnpaul-chukwuma
But some eddiots will come to defend their priests(when they know the truth) I will read through this thread. I agree with you that no one should defend any priest doing this. A priest doing something like this is fulfilling the mission of the devil not of the Christ and his church. This is not about the priest, it is about the souls that get destroyed by his lust. No one is forced to become a priest, if you can't keep your d.i.c.k in check you can always live a normal life as a married man. The church will not fall because a priest decides to resign. What is dangerous is for a priest to be destroying the lives of innocent souls. |

sirwhyteB: It is a very shameful that some of our Rev. Fathers these days indulge in this atrocity call Homosexualism. As a member of a Roman Catholic Church this act is so disgusting.
I no say I no holy pass but at least I dey do girls and I no be Rev. Fr. I agree with you but what I find annoying is how everybody 'knows' about Catholic Rev Fathers indulging in sexual immorality yet you hardly see anyone mention specific names... who are they protecting? If people are 100% sure about these blanket statements they should name names. I have heard rumours but since I did not personally witness anything or have direct access to a victim's story, I can't name names. I have always insisted that you cannot defend God! It is an insult for a human being to claim to be defending God. Failure to expose evil forces within the church is not an act of holiness, you are only allowing evil to fester as evil loves to operate unhindered in the darkness of silence. Expose the evil priests if you are sure, you cannot use third party info from friend's friend of a friend. The evil ones must be exposed before they destroy more lives. The Catholic Church in places like the United States and Europe have special communication lines for victims of abuse and their are other accessible support groups for victims also. This was set up as a fallout of the pedophilia cases that led to a renewal in the Church especially in the USA. The same thing must happen in Nigeria. Innocent lives are going to get destroyed when people don't specifically expose the evil priests. |

Odds is now in favor of iskilu wakil and considering his age, police would side with him thereby it becomes a lose lose situation for Yoruba and OPC.
They need to do what is necessary about a killer like this next time.
People of ibarapa should be careful cos this is going to work against them. As soon as wakil returns they should run for their lives.
OPC learn a lesson from this scenario...I only pity the arrested OPC members, who will vouch for them now Be assured that Iskilu Wakil is a dead meat if that happens |
