passion007: This was refreshing to watch. In recent times, Nigerians have taken an unusual interest in American politics, often holding passionate, polarised views, and daring to 'educate' Americans about their country and its politics. This oversabi trend needs to stop. Fix Nigeria first before you advise America on how to be great again.
The stupid Nigerian uber driver could not even mind his business and act professional. Always be wary of discussing religion and politics. I hope the disgraced Uber driver will now get small sense
Meanwhile the Uber drivers cohort are in the comments section forming yeye American politics pundits on Nairaland. Create group for noble causes like old students association to help alma mater they will turn it to political discussion group and the idiots won't show up when it's time to protest bad government policies. Cho cho cho with no sense educated illiterates. |

The world is changing.
What is your dream? Don't confuse this with fantasy. I mean realistic dream to sustain yourself & your future family for decades?
Education is not limited to the university but you have to understand yourself & your environment. For example, unlike previous generations if you are not going the university route immediately then you can't reach the top of the chain as an employee unless your plan is to work low level for some years then go back to school.
In your case you want to just hustle as a business man, you better be an outstanding hustler with very disciplined lifestyle. There is no guarantee either way. No easy route but if you know exactly what you are doing you will find a way. You will need all the strength in the world to stay positive if you squander all your seed money with little progress by the time your classmates are wrapping up NYSC. However, there is no magic wand. Don't be a lazy thinker, be true to yourself. If you can't find a realistic way - get that JAMB form! |

Barbilius: Don't mind him. In the recently completed law school graduation, ui sent 150 students to law school, 26 came bacj6with a first class while OAU sent 250 and 13 returned with first class. In terms of research, only the nascent Covenant University can compete with ui, OAU no even near at all, you can check all research websites Scopus, elsevier etc. Ife was very good in the first few decades of its existence, then brain drain came under Ibrahim Babangida - which affected all - it gradually started becoming empty noise. However, one need to realise that a large chunk of the student population are often brilliant kids from remote villages, so pardon the loud noise. You need to see them trooping in to Ife town from all corners at the beginning of the semester. Most of these have never seen any real university campus so Ife remains the only barometer. UI near them, most of them have never seen. One of several examples, a friend from Ife was from Ijan Ekiti, graduated from Ife, served in Benue & worked in Ibadan for few years & told me he was just entering UI for the first time early this year. Unilag? Lailai, I doubt if the guy won't even get lost in Ojota if just by himself. Yet he can loudly analyse all our universities as an 'expert'. Again, to avoid generalisation, the points here have lots of exceptions so it's not a blanket opinion. Let me leave story. The big five remain the big five and when you cut off the propaganda, manipulations & ego tripping they are all about the same level generally - UI, ABU, UNILAG, UNN and OAU. |

nedekid: Abi. Even if he threw away the sim card, the imei number of the phone has been noted. If he puts a new sim he is still traceable. If that imei also goes online, the location of the device is traceable. Even if it is not online it can be geolocated via base station triangulation. Read the article again. This is not about IMEI number since he already threw away the phone also, not just the SIM card. |

HeavenlyHolines: Abroad life ehn make I no lie sweet to live and make money but if u want invest, come Nigeria. No place like home as long as investment is concern In fact, Nigerians abroad should stop sending money home & learn how the economy of their resident countries work. Some Nigerians are making a killing everyday in America but most still need to learn to use the financial system without the Nigerian mindset. We need to learn from the Scots, Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese etc. Stop wasting good investment money on useless ventures in Nigeria. You can do that when you have a flourishing business abroad. Just my opinion. |

OgboAto: I don't get it. Everyone seem stuck on Oyo's military exploits & forgot Oyo was/is a conquered town that long lost its military medals to Ibadan. Oyo was not the first town to expand militarily & neither was it the only town that did. Owu was a first military power that Oyo paid tribute to, why do we not prop Olowu as Ooni's equals too?
Kingdoms rise & fall. The relevance of that rise remains within the period of the rise - not after. The present Oyo is a makeshift not the original. The present Oyo is an arrangement out of being conquered & dispersed. Abeg let us keep in mind that Oyo is a conquered group that long lost its military relevance. Alaafin has no claim to any pan Yoruba leadership except within Oyo dependent or originated towns.
And Aare Ona Kakanfo does not cut across Yorubaland. Except you meant Yorubaland in its original context of Oyoland. The Ooni never had any claim to any pan Yoruba leadership either. Even within the tiny confine of Ife, Modakeke was a big issue. |

Christianity Etc › Re: 7 Reasons Why Christians Should Stop Taking Alcohol by Shikena(m): 1:08pm On Jan 12, 2020 |
Beer is made from four basic ingredients: Barley, water, hops and yeast. The basic idea is to extract the sugars from grains (usually barley) so that the yeast can turn it into alcohol and CO2, creating beer. The brewing process starts with grains, usually barley (although sometimes wheat, rye or other such things.)
