My first time was when I travelled to Canada in Sept 2015 (and haven't returned yet!). I am not counting my school's field trip to Benin Republic, Shonghai farms. It was like a dream to me because I left Nigeria to further my studies and I had NOBODY where I was going. Just sorted my accommodation online and travelled alone for about 27 hours. Nobody came to receive me from the airport or anything. That was when I truly felt my destiny as much as in God's hands is also now in my hands, not my parent's hands or anything. I grew up quickly within days. It was after three days I missed home and cried. |

mayluv: As regards the issue of children taking up the affection of the wife in a home, I think that grooming children along with other house chores are a lot of work and effort and most times this is left to the wife alone. After all is said and done, the wife is tired and hardly gets the time to rest talk less of having quality time for her spouse. Most men misconstrue the whole thing as transfer of affection which really isn't. If you want the best of your wife and family, be a partner in all areas and watch your entire family bloom. Most happy couples I see and hear have understanding and are mindful of each other's needs in the home. They have fair stakes in all areas of the home. Excellent post. |

SilvaBullet: It will be simplistic to say this is your opinion without looking deep into your msg.
The quality of your marriage is exposed in your writeup. And mothers like you who put their kids first and above their husband go ahead to constitute nuisance in their children's lives even after they're married. After all, that's where most of all your physical, emotional and material investment has been. It would be practically impossible to have you detached from them as expected when they get married.
You're also a potential mother-in-law nightmare to your son's wives. Truer words have not been spoken. |

midnightsun: Looking at the lives of so many christians around, they still go through the same struggles I'm facing, some are even worse. That doesn't encourage me to want to take that path anymore Not every of those 'Christians' you see around have a personal relationship with God. Or are they not same people that will go from church service to fighting at a petrol station or going from the bed of adultery to lead worship on the altar? And some are just ignorant of God's word. God cannot be deceived. And I'm not saying every Christian will be rich, but our needs shall be supplied according to His riches in glory. Luke 12:15 says we should take heed and beware of covetousness because a man's life consists NOT in the abundance of things he possesses. So, I hope you're not being covetous but just want your needs met at the very least while having peace and joy? If so, why don't you try God (Yahweh) again and follow some of the steps I outlined in my previous post? Study your bible. Pray according to God's word. Study more of the Word. Live a holy life. Stay away from sin. Be obedient to God's word. Open your heart. Soak in God's wisdom. Make the Holy Spirit your best friend. If all these sounds too much, then, you're not yet ready for the journey of Christianity. May the Holy Ghost come upon you to strengthen you because by strength shall no man prevail. |

midnightsun: Just before I lose my sanity someone should please help me locate what I seek My brother, it is well. I know it seems the night will last forever, but the day cometh. That same Christianity that you "tried" is what I will still refer you to, but through another dimension. What people don't know is you cannot enjoy the real Christianity if your needs are more important than your personal relationship with God, no matter how pressing they are. Matthew 6: 33 asks us to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and ALL these things (is it car, money, job, wife?) will be added unto you. I will recommend joining a correct church and fellowship with Spirit-filled brethren. I will recommend going back to God. Jesus is the only way (John 14:6). If you are desperate enough to use any other spiritual means, you are cutting your life short. |

paxonel: if one may ask, of what scripture is tithing? Where did you see it? Go through Malachi 3 and read with an open heart and the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. What people don't know is this: Anything laid down in the old testament still stands. BUT if Jesus Christ comments on that issue in the new testament (for example, adultery being a thing of the heart, not just actually sleeping with the person), then, what Jesus Christ has said stands concerning that topic and that's when the old testament view regarding that issue fails to stand. Also, if the apostles (Paul, Peter, John, James etc.) commented on an issue and gave a new view concerning an issue that was previously mentioned in the old testament, their new view stands (for example, the covering of the Moses' face with a veil that was shiny due to God's glory VS Paul saying we beholding the glory and removing the veil). Tithing (even though it is written in the Old testament) still stands since Jesus Christ or the apostles never asked us to stop tithing. In fact, tithing will be of great favour to us in the new dispensation when you are required to give 10%, but God is asking for all. And think about it, do you think it's your tithe that will buy men of God aircraft? The chairs and AC and conducive environment we all enjoy in church is a result of the tithe. Also, that's how the less-privileged amongst the brethren are helped. |

Tithing is scriptural. I don't know the kind of research he did with the theology teacher in this dispensation of the Holy Spirit. |

Get closer to God. It may sound cliche but it's never out of fashion. It's only the work God does through you that will live forever. Just like you clocked 20 in what seems like a blink of an eye, 40 will soon come knocking, trust me.
Also, get the purpose of your life from God so you can kickstart things early when time is still on your side. When you know your purpose, you can then know what necessarily skills to learn.
And always remember, the greatest investments in life are people and time. Life is not all about money. |
