I just don't know what to write, i am overwhelmed by the comments i read here.

I saw a girl in the bus this morning and until she stood up and stretched to put her bag in the baggage space, I didn't know she was a student. I am sure if she's beaten or sent back home, she will carry placard and start protesting.

This issue has been addressed, the colour of the hijab must match the colour of the school uniform just like the beret and cardigan.

deols: The reason I spoke against this is because I have heard of instances esp in Nigerian Universities where with a few argument, someone gets up, shouts the other down as kaafir. it was very bad as I heard it.


I just dont think it right that we all start giving the judgements.

Sis deols, i do agree that we as Muslims need to be very careful in pronouncing another Muslim a kafir, i hardly do such, and true, some of these people need our assistance, reminding them what Islam really is.

I totally agree that the scholars are indeed the ones to give fatwas on kufr and those who fall into it. I am also of the opinion that a Muslim needs to know such acts that can lead him into kufr.

Acts of kufr can be of action, utterance or denial of established principles of the deen, when a group such as this raise their head, saying that which is kufr, doing things which is kufr and denying established norms in the deen, knowing fully well what Islam is about, what do we call them?

I dont think one hesitates to call a polytheist a kafir.

Nope, there isn't a Mosque tagged salafi Mosque(to the best of my knowledge) in Lagos, rather, there are groups with salafi ideologies holding halqa in some Mosques.

i really think points 1,3,4 and 6 would go a long way to help, especially point 1, i think if one gets prepared for solat on time, try to shut off all mundane issues from ones mind, you'll have better concentration.

point 7 isn't easy during congregational prayers and sometimes i do get carried away by the style of recitation of the Imam, good or bad.

^There are acts that take a person out of the fold of islam, such case is one who commits haram and says its halal, knowing fully well that it is haram. All the notable Islamic scholars agree on this.

These people are doing acts Allah SWT forbids, they are not remorseful about it, rather they are trying to propagate these haram acts. In short, they are challenging Allah's Law.

Islam means to submit in totality to Allah's(SWT) will, these people are going against this definition of Islam.

Airtel is really trying o, imagine having a 3.75G coverage in a remote village in benue! you go need to climb hill to see mtn network, glo no 3G but edge while etisalat is just plain annoying here.

One thing i know is that, i dont check the network i am dialing on my airtel, but very conscious of what network i dial on others, and i dont even know what package i am on with airtel.

The only issue i have with airtel is their ads, the thing too much, they should do something about it.

The act of salah is a direct communication with Allah SWT that we are encouraged to pay full concentration, any other act perfomed during salah which is not part of it nullifies the salah. Do you think Allah SWT would sanction such an act so much to reveal an ayah in its regard? we are always informed about the almost perfect concentration of Ali r.a during salah.

The plural issue still baffles me, in verses in which Allah SWT uses such plural, i have never read where it is in honour of just one person, it is usually referring to groups of Muslims during the time of revelation, as well as the later generations.

what about verse 56, 57 and 58? is it still about Ali r.a or are these verses not connected?

The pavilion g6 is ok, In lagos, you can get it around 85k, a config of 2.5Ghz core i3 processor, 4gb ram and 500gb hdd.

The graphics card is intel gma hd, not too good for serious gaming, you may be stuck with games of 2 to 3yrs ago.

For serious gaming, u'll need rigs with dedicated graphics cards Nividia or Amd. Them this sys cost nothing less than 140k.

Reading this verse and the subsequent 2 to 3 verses, without the need to consult any tafasirs, quite explains it.

i don't know how you guys comeup with Ali r.a being a successor to the prophet SAW from this verse. Do you guys mean to say "those" "aladhyna" as used in this verse refers to only Ali r.a?

Talking of "wa hum raki'un", even though i am not a mufasir, the same word was used for Mariam A.S to join congregational prayers, when Allah SWT commanded her. hence, we can translate "wa hum raki'un" to mean and those who pray in congregation. This translation given is what can be found in tafsir ibn Katheer.

Hijab doesn't hurt anybody and muslimahs are free to use it as they wish. I am very sure you will complain if an ifa worshipper wears his white beads on his uniform in your child's class.

There are muslim schools and students who don't feel comfortable with the lack of hijab in secondary schools can go there.

well, it would have been a different case if wearing the white beads everyday is compulsory on ifa worshippers, we even have the case of Catholics with their white rosearies, and Muslims do not complain.

Why is it so difficult for you guys to understand that it is absolutely lawful for a female muslimah to put on her hijab to public schools in lagos state!

@tbaba, i quite agree with you, indigenous Muslim communities have fallen in standard, perhaps we need to look at these new Muslim communities and learn one or two things.

Listening to an indigenous Brazilian scholar explaining the deen so beautifully, should definitely arose Saudi Muslim who knows next to nothing about Islam, especially among the youth.
