Bros, no talk like dat o.

I used to think that way but some experiences don show me say so many inexplicable things dey happen for dis we world o!

Some things wey dey happen pass the power of our brains to reason dem out.

Seriously, you need to research or pay more interest to paranormal occurrences for you to start understanding how deep dis we planet earth dey.

There is a very negative energy existing in that compound and unless that energy is exorcised, people in that compound will continue to die.
Trust me bro, I believe there are paranormal occurrences, and there are haunted houses in western world. But before Oyinbo call a building haunted, they would have done a lot of findings to ensure that they don't have normal explanation for what's happening in the house. Now my question is, did they do an autopsy for just one person that died in that house? The answer is No

You are right, autopsy could have reveals the possible cause of serial death, it could be to poisonous contamination of the surrounding
Utilities like the well water or even possible air contamination or a kind of contagious diseases.

As for the economic misfortune, the whole country is in recession that answers that.
You hit the nail right on the head. The said the Alhaji corpse was buried in the house, after which people started dying. First no autopsy was done on the Alhaji dead body to know what killed him. They buried him like that. There is possibility that the Alhaji corpse was buried close to the source of their drinking water such as borehole or well. Guess what will happen after the decomposition of the body, there will be seepage of contaminated bodily fluid into the drinking water. Meanwhile, the first person died no autopsy, 2nd person died no autopsy until the 10th before they see it as spiritual something. Most of the times, we need common sense to explain occurrences. It baffles me that everything is seen as spiritual attack in Nigeria

Reading some comments on this thread makes me cry for my country people. Some people from their comments are as terrible as ISIL or boko haram. I have been living in Canada for over 6 years now, and if you wanna mention one of the most peaceful and liberal countries in the world, it's surely Canada. However, there are tragic cases like this where some people with hate in their hearts unleash mayhem. Let's not forget that the victims in this shooting were muslims worshipping in their place of worship. No matter what you think about muslims, you can't blame them for being the victims. As written in the article, quebec city is a peaceful city that had just 2 murders in 2015 as compared to Chicago with almost 500 in the same period. I pray RCMP and provincial police catch the perpetrators of this gruesome attack.
My opinion is that Trump is making Islamophobia in north america worsen by his utterances and actions. And I won't be surprised if similar attacks happen in USA during his regime

How come the state bears Portuguese name huh
How come Port Harcourt has an English name, how come rivers is called rivers, how come plateau is called plateau, how come cross river is an English name? The Portuguese were the first Europeans to come to the place, and they gave it Lago de Curamo because of its lagoon.
PoliticsRe: Control Of Federal Land: Lagos Defeats FG In Supreme Court by slurryeye:

There are 3 questions we must ask ourselves on this thread:
1. Who is a Lagosian? What is our definition of Lagosian?
2. What tribe does Eleko (Oba of Lagos) come from
3. What are our rights as Nigerians, and how can we avoid trampling on the rights of others?
Refer to the post above this your post for answers to your questions. True Lagosians are Awori people of Yoruba subtribe that migrated from Ile Ife. When Portuguese came in 1400s to trade they met indigenous people living in Lagos. Awori people are riverine people that had always being hospitable and welcoming. They accepted a lot of other people like the benins, returned freed slaves (the saros), returned africans from Brazil (the Agudas) etc. The presence of these returnees enlightened the local populace of Lagos and distinguished them from other regions in Nigeria. Mind you, it wasn't only Lagos that freed slaves returned to in Nigeria. But the indigenous people of Lagos who are the Yorubas were accomodating. Most of these returned freed slaves traced their origin to Yoruba land eg. Samuel Ajayi-Crowther. And those that couldn't accepted Yorubaland as their origin

How's Lagos a Yoruba land

History of Lagos
Lagos was settled at various times by hunters and fishermen from the Àwórì sub-nationality. Originally based in Iseri on the Ògùn River about 20 miles from the island, the initial wave of settlers led by Arómiré (the one that becomes personable at the sight of a river), established a presence in Ìddó and Èbúté Métta. Arómiré also grew vegetables, especially pepper, on a site where Iga Ìdúngànràn, the palace or official residence of the Oba of Lagos now stands. Iga Ìdúngànràn is an Àwórì term meaning house on pepper farm. The palace is thus not only an important symbol of the historical traditions of Lagos; its name also helps keep alive the site's association with vegetable farming by Arómiré, the city's first settler.
From these bases the Àwórì settlers moved further south, towards the creeks and the sea. One major reason why they moved was because their increasing population created the need for more space. Another was safety and security. Yorùbáland, of which Lagos was a part, had become embroiled in the long-running wars involving ethnic groups, communities, chiefdoms, kingdoms, and other political units of the time

PoliticsRe: 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomb Blast: 15 Years After (Throwback Photos) by slurryeye:
I remember this day like yesterday

It was January 27, 2002. I was preparing for Jamb then. My family went to my hometown for a relative burial leaving only me at home. After reading for a while, I decided to switch on the TV. I cant remember which teams were playing, but I know I was carried away by the football match. All of a sudden, I heard a big bang. I initially thought it was my neighbour kids. I thought to myself that if it's any of those kids disturbing my peace, I will beat the crap out of them. Few seconds later, I heard another bang. But this time around the ground was vibrating. I said to myself, wait a minute, these kids can't have such power to bang and vibrate the ground. So I decided to go outside and observe what was going on. To my utmost surprise, I saw mammoth of crowd, everyone looking confused to what was going on. Then I went to the top floor of the 3rd house to my house which is a 3 storey building to have a better glimpse of what was going on. There I saw crowd of adults all speculating what was happening. Some said the military has overthrown Obasanjo, some said another civil war has broken out - Papa Chidi started talking about the ordeal of the civil war, and how he prayed never to witness another war in his lifetime, some said it was Cameroun fighting Nigeria because of Bakassi peninsula etc. Bro Dee came up with the most reasonable speculation that from his observation that he thinks it is an explosive factory that mistakenly caught fire and set up the chain reaction. While everyone was speculating what the situation is, Mama Mary out of nowhere with anxiety and fear written all over her face shouted let's start running to the 4th street away. Then I said how are we sure those people there are not trying to run to our own street. Bro Dee looked at me and said this young man is very intelligent. He told Mama Mary to calm down that we will continue to listen to radio to know what the problem is, then after we know what the problem is, we can strategize what to do next. After about 30 minutes later, we heard in the radio that it was a mistake from military cantonment that caused explosives to start exploding. Not too long afterwards, my pops eventually got through to my neighbour who he had tried to call like a million times in order to talk to me. He narrated what he heard from my hometown, and I told him I'm aware of the situation and everything is fine with me. I could feel panic in my mom's voice at the background (the fear of a mother). It wasn't until the next day that we heard of the bad news of how a lot of lifes were lost in the Oke afa canal. That day, I saw Mama Mary, and I asked her if she heard of the Oke afa tragic news, she said yes. Then I told her that can she see why it's not good to start running when you don't know what you're running from. She said my brother it is TRUE o. My heart goes out to all the family that lost someone in this tragedy especially the parent that lost all their kids. May God continue to condole them and may all the innocent souls lost continue to rest in peace. I pray we don't witness this kind of tragedy again in Nigeria

Moral of the lesson: Don't run when you don't know what is pursuing you, and don't pray for war when you haven't witnessed one before.

This is it

This is what I have been talking about.

We Nigerians shouldn't be suffering and smiling

If the government is not fulfilling its electorate mandates, come out and voice your disappointment

The developed countries are what they are right now because their government knows their citizens would protest if they don't perform

I support this protest, and every other protests to awaken this sleeping government
