I have dated three girls from a particular tribe. The first one always leaves her stuff in the WC. We were flogged at random by teachers while we match to the tune of the school band during the morning assembly. We were the kids whose clothes are torne for no fault of ours but because our parents could not buy us new ones. For me, I outgrew my shirt which tore at the back because mom was having hard times fending for us after dad passed. Some pupils had their buts laid bare at the cetres of both sides of the short in a very funny ways. The thought of this still sends cold shivers down me at past 40. It is an experience that haunted my childhood and almost marred my personality development. To those teachers, I plead for Gods mercy on their heads.
creolehunt: About 2 years ago, my brother started working for this company as an intern. The agreement with his manager was that he will be confirmed within 6 months. After about 18months without confirmation, he resigned from the job but still kept contact with people from his former job.
Fast forward to some weeks ago, he heard that his former company needed personnel at a new branch in a new state and it's strictly an internal recruitment. So he met his former manager and expressed interest, the manager pushed his name (eligibility is dependent solely on recommendation by your branch manager) and he alongside others went through series of interviews at the end of which he was employed. Suffice to say that the HR manager was part of these interviews.
He was sent an offer letter plus other documents and he resumed last week monday. Last week Tuesday, he was called by the HRM who asked him series of questions after which the HRM said he didn't know all this while that my brother isn't an active staff and that he (the HRM) was hoodwinked by the branch manager. His argument was tgat there were other eligible candidates who could have been recommended, but the manager brought someone from outside.
Now, the offer letter to my brother has been withdrawn. Same guy that resigned his job the moment he received this offer, he has even told everyone that mattered tgat he was relocating. Please is there anything we can do to salvage this, it's so heartbreaking. I don't know where they expect him to start from when he gets home.
You guys should approach industrial court and seek compensation for the hardship he suffered. The mistake was not his but the person that recommended him. Just like someone said, if they had issued a sack letter, it may technically exculpate them but not completely. Important did he sign an employment of offer letter? And what are the terms. This, to a great extent will determine the above.

Guys while we wait for this precarious situation to pass away, I want to ask a question: A friend of mine in the USA wants to give me his account statment from Bank of American and sponsorship letter. First , will this fly? Secondly, will the fact that I know someone in the USA not work against my tie to home which I have claimed. I have wife and 3 kids which apparently worked against me in the last interview cos apparently the VO thought they will not be good in my absence money wise. My elder brother will be making up the deficit in my funding. But on a second thought, I want my friend to make up the deficit while my elder brother takes care of my family should they need further hand; though my wife is an entrprneur but the business is relativly new and without much money in the account because of stock still being expected from China and elsewhere due to the pandemic.

fairheart: All you need from sponsor is his/her bank statement. Sponsor letter is not necessary, as consulars ain't interested in reading a letter that anybody can write. Go with sponsor statement. The most important thing: have a thoroughly filled DS160 that isn't conflicting with the i-20 you're carrying. Prepare to speak confidently during the interview. We have already said a lot about this on the thread.
