Shaev7: You sound like you developed these apps and you sound like within your own knowledge. People who are into tech knows what am talking about. You just speak like you are so secured using these apps. Read my first quote properly if you will spot in any of my write ups that it retains Username and Pw. Let me tell you Internet Banking is even more safe than Mobile App if you don't save Username and Passwords. Ask anybody you'll be told. Even ask a bank staff you will be told. If I were you think of how to be cautious and don't be too confident about this banking apps and all that... and USSD is safer compare to Internet banking and Mobile app? I don hear you... I do not need to be a developer before I know that a service with Two /three layer of security is safer compare to an unstructured supplementary Service. What works for u doesn't work for me.continue with your USSD usage |

Shaev7: Don't worry, misplace your phone with App on it and watch the next action if you don't contact your bank on time. You and I know that both banks and Telecommunications company are working with some of this fraudsters. You may quote me anywhere. I have 3 persons who recently had their phone stolen with all bank App on it, their money was cleared from their account in no time. So brother, it's all the same, we all have to be careful. All medium are not safe. From your replies, it's obvious you have never used a banking app before, none of these apps retains the log in detail,i.e Username and password, you have to put them in by yourself, how do you then Guess a username and password that contains Uppercase, lowercase, Special Character and Figures? how do you guess the PIN/OTP/Token digit? Dude talk within your knowledge,I repeat talk within what you Know.Chikena |
Crime › Re: Customer Robbed Of N1 Million After MTN Allegedly Gave Access To Her SIM. by Solatium(m): 4:13pm On Aug 10, 2018 |
Shaev7: I am not misinforming anyone. Have you ever made transfer via USSD and OTP or TOKEN is sent as SMS to your phone? If yes then set your security properly, because, USSD I know just requires pin (possibly last 3 digits of your ATM number) and which if its wrong transactions will not take place. So can you compare with Bank App or I- banking that will either send OTP or TOKEN, which is Sim related? That is the reason this fraudsters still deal with persons with Mobile App and I-banking. Don't quote me wrong, now am not saying that USSD is perfectly safe, but at least its better because no SMS will be sent as to validate transactions, only your PIN 4 digits which is same process you perform using your ATM at the machine. Does your ATM on inserting your card sends you message to validate transactions apart from type your pin, withdrawn your money and get out from there? So bro, generally we just need to be cautious of what we do with our phone and online. Was it only USSD Services you mentioned in your comments? the fact you embrace USSD as your preferred choice of banking does not make it the best, those Sims been stolen and people losing their money are connected to USSD Services which is the easiest to steal people's money, How many internet banking or Bank official APP user have lost their money in recent time? For you to steal people's money via internet banking/ mobile app,you must have a combination of the person's password and Token/OTP/PIN which is extremely difficult to get in 99% of the time, the only time that is possible is when you put a gun to people's head. I worry less when my sim goes missing, because you can't effect any financial transaction on my line,You can't get any jack of my financial transaction. My advice for you is to quit the USSD and embarce a proper internet banking, USSD is prone to fraud |

Shaev7: This issue I followed and was part of the conversation yesterday on twitter, USSD was not the medium used to perform that transaction. You and I know that its only Bank App such things do occur and possibly Internet Banking (if you allow save username and Password on login) of which on I-Banking I don't recommend save username and password. Seriously, I also don't recommend Bank Mobile App for anyone, its not secured. For now it's USSD code that's quite secured for now. Our Mobile Telecommunications company are fraudulent. Even with internet banking/App there are 2 layers of security minimum,if not 3 to transfer money, your banking details is not enough,OTP,PIN or TOKEN will be required to steal anything from your account,Stop misinformation |

According to the twitter user called SoulJah, this happened last friday and all the persons involved were already at the Muritala Mohammed Airport for flight boarding….
He claims this could have resulted from the immigrants' plan to move to California and then declare assylum which the US govt has kicked against.
He also adviced people to avoid JFK Aiport for now

Let’s us advices applicants that getting a UK visit visa is not only based on high salary or high bank balances. The ECO also takes into consideration the main purpose of the trip, social and economic ties to Nigeria, travel history and the probability of immigration intent. Is your filled application form and documents that speak for you, as there will be no interview, so the onus lies with the applicant to convince the ECO to approve their visa request in spite of a salary of less than 200K. You need to convince UK immigration that you earn a good salary i.e at least 200k and above, you must also have a good Bank statement with regular cash inflow and outflow and lastly have about #1m to spend for your 2weeks trip because a return flight is about 280k and you need to book an hotel or hostel for 2weeks which cost about #300k How Many people are on ₦200k salary grade in Nigeria? is this ukvi rule or your own assumption? |

elpriest: Hello guys , kindly advise on what to possibly do . I submitted an application to the uk embassy through one of the collection centres at Ikeja. I supported my application with all relevant supporting documents including my bank and pension statements, employment details, tenancy agreement for my residence ,letter of introduction from my employer along with pictures and other documents. I stated the reason for travelling that i was going to the uk for my annual leave vacation and that i will be returning after 10 days. While there I will visit some historical tourists centres in the uk and also shop for my self. That was the reason I wrote in the note section of the application. I'm single with a closing balance of over N1.9M in my bank account apart from pension account and other savings statement that i submitted . Though I collect rent from my family estate ,which is what will foot my travelling expenses. I cross-checked my application thoroughly to avoid stories that touch. To my amazement, the decision came back that 1. I'm single and that i stated that I'll be travelling with my spouse. 2. That I had a balance of N1,324 somewhere in my bank statement 3. That from my present situation they feel that if I leave for uk, I would not return. Please see attached
So, I may agree with their submissions in 2 and 3 , because they are entitled to their opinion. It's possible for my account to be at N0. 00, it is nobody's business in as much as I'm not owing or indebted to anybody. Again, they have the right to say I may not return because they feel uk is better than Nigeria. The annoying part is the fact that they said I'm single, which is true and that I'm travelling with my SPOUSE. How could I be single and I'm going on my annual leave vacation, then they will write that I m travelling with my spouse? This is really ridiculous and it's an integrity issue.
When I read the reasons for refusing , i kept mute until I got home to check my printout again. Only to discover that nothing like that occurs on the application. Please, what do I do ? I submitted my application on the 6th Dec 2017, the decision was taken on the 27th while I got the passport here in Lagos on 3rd Jan 2018. (Quote) (Report) 1 Share (Un-Share)
[sub][/sub] It is not as simple as you think it is,if care is not taken you might have been banned for documents falsification,if truly your account balance at the point of confirmation reads #1,324 as been alluded to by you here and there is no evidence that bulk of that money moved from your account.....it is no longer an issue of opinion,it is a matter of fact been backed u with evidence on their side. if all the reasons mentioned for denial are just their own fabrication, you have a right to address that Asap before your name is blacklist |

bountykill: Hello just wise
Please help with a quick assessment of my chances of securing a UK visiting visa. I applied in 2013 and was denied. I was single then and was on a salary of 150k. FF to today, i am married with a kid and a net salary of about 465k but i am working as an outsourced staff for a Chinese company. I worked for 2 years with the first outsourcing firm before it was changed about 6 months ago on the same salary of 465k.
Now my issue is the short period i have worked for the present company even though I am been outsourced to the same firm. Someone suggested i go back to the previous company to get a reference letter to indicate i was working for them before.
Another concern i have is the breakdown of my pay in the payslips, the company intentionally quote a small amount as basic salary so that they can equally pay a reduced amount as pension since the pension rate is a function of the basic salary. My basic salary is 5k with allowance forming the bulk of my net salary. Will this have any implication? Or do i just avoid putting the payslips in my application?
Also i have a friend (British citizen) who relocated to the UK in January of this year. Do i get him to send me an invite or do i apply like i don't know anyone in the up?
Will appreciate you kind responses and suggestions . thanks. You know the honest answer yourself, you are only seeking a validation of that,I am happy to tell you it won't fly,A basic salary of ₦5,000 and an allowance of ₦460,000.it didn't just jel together |

Ijeshalomo: The closing balance is not the point here. Rather; getting home ties which i think has been the reasons for previous denial of your schengen visa. If i were you, i would procure a cheap landed property in ogun state (boundary lagos) of 500k naira, fix the survey documentation in my name for 200k naira. With such documentation, I think you have a good home tie. And you can apply even with a closing balance of 1m naira so far you have a stable monthly income that reflects on your account.
Thanks Even at that Schengen counties are not smiling,it will take extra grace of God to have their visa.they are dealing with a lots of migrants as it is. My best friend applied with all the required documents and 2 landed properties with pension statement,he was denied on flimsy excuses that the information submitted wasn't reliable,he later applied for UK Visa and got the same in 2 week's |

Your advice and guidance will be appreciated.
Thank you. Impounded passports are usually sent to Ministry of Internal Affairs in Abuja,so if u want it back you will have to go to Abuja to retrieve which I don't think is still useful to you anyway, because it must have been stamped and for the ban I am sorry you can not upturn it except you have a strong evidence and battle it out in a Nigeria court of law |

I haven't done or submitted any fraudulent documents since I started this applications. I have worked for organisations where integrity is key, so I wouldn't dare do that. The last application, I explained why I was rejected the last time and reiterated that I have my son, my husband and a very good job to return to. The training is to better sharpen my skills. Only for this to happen again. It feels like I'm being cheated because I did everything right. I submitted my application on the 30 of October and by 1 of November I got a text that my passport was ready. Like they didn't even look at the documents. This time I really don't want to let it slide, I want to appeal the decision so that it doesn't spoil my other chances in future and it doesn't look like o have something to hide. Every embassy ask if you've been rejected entry to another country before and my answer would be yes, reason "adverse record". What does that even mean? I really need help on how to go about an appeal as I have 10 working days after the date of decision. Have you at any point in any of those applications made use of services of an agent? |

Also the source of the money is my late Dad's money. How do I explain that in future,do I need to attach my Dads death certificate too,is it going too much just for proof? Can I apply immediately, like 1st week of November or I should give more space? Since u are a co-sponsor it is better to leave the money in your account, just write a short note that you will co-sponsor the trip with so and so amount and attach ur statement of account (preferably salary account) and pay slip.your Dad's death certificate is apt since u are claiming is an inheritance, but I hope she has no dependant filled in her previous application,if she does the logic of using part of your inheritance to finance a trip when u have dependant/s won't fly |

Brightingsus: Your mum failed to explain her application to the best she could. Contrary to the misleading info a contributor said here that an applicant does not need to explain their whole life to the ECO, actually that is what is required as long as it is geared towards explaining an applicant's personal circumstances.
You need to explain every transaction in your bank statement. Your employment payslips explain your salary entries while you have to explain other transactions, in and out, with evidence. The ECO stated that your mum confirmed she didn't have any other jobs, so the other transactions not reflected on her payslips but in her bank statements draw one to question the credibility of the application.
If your mum reapplies ensure she explains all transactions in her bank statement. If she does side business she needs to provide receipts but that would jeopardise her former entry that she has no other jobs. Just look into your mum's circumstances and post further questions here. You do not need to SUB, I was the one who made that statement and I won't deny it.there is difference between making clarification and telling unnecessary stories about how things went down.I have read so many funny things here like people asking the applicants to tell their life history and things that are unrelated to their application..A visit Visa application DOES not entails telling us your life history, telling it does not guarantee issuance of visa.I always implore applicants to stay within limit of what is reasonable and relevant for their application....In migrants VISA,yes, because those information will be used not only for security vetting but to also established your genuine relationship.QED |
