Please I need mature minds advise on this topic.
My family recently discovered that my younger brother who has been in the seminary and was supposed to be a reverend father in few years time has a very big gambling issue.

Over the years, he has accumulated a gambling debt of 2M (borrowed majorly from loan sharks). When I discovered about the incidence, I hesitated involving my retired dad and mum because of the shock they might get hearing about this but when I discovered I couldn't pay the debt alone, i had to involve them. Thank God they handled it calmly. My dad and I have offset 700k debts already but I recently discovered that he is still borrowing and betting even recently (someone that has access to his details revealed this to me today). I am totally devastated and I don't know how to relay this to my parents to avoid heart attack. The gruesome part of the whole story is that he is JOBLESS because of his seminary school journey (which he has willingly pulled out from because of this issue).

Please my fellow nairanders, how do I handle this problem? I'm fed up

Greetings everyone, I've been driving for over a year now and I've noticed we don't know how to use headlights in this country even my friend that visited from the US complained same thing.
I don't know if it's selfishness or what but how will someone be on very high beam even when opposite an incoming vehicle, I almost entered a ditch because an SUV beamed on my small Corolla to the point I couldn't even see properly, are there rules set for all these in this country?
God's willing if I don't leave this country within the next 2 years I'm getting a bigger vehicle and I will purposely install massive led lights I will be counter beaming people till they notice their mistake.

Good morning Fellow brethren, I was born in a very religious family, when I was small I enjoyed attending church. I sometimes even slept in the church (back then it was allowed by our church).

In 2010 I went to stay with one of my aunts, she was Catholic, so I started attending Catholic Church with her. Then in 2014 I left and have been staying on my own since then.

After the owner of the school apologized and the matter died down, some of the teachers have not been so nice to my nephew. He's always complaining of one teacher or the other beating him but the Mom in order not to appear like a troublesome person decided to talk to her son to always be well behaved and avoid his teachers at all cost as she can't be going to the school all the time to shout.
I remember a few people then asking me where's the father in all this but then I was covering him because I didn't want to expose his weak point in this whole matter. I'm still not going to say why he's helpless and can't confront the school for all the bullying on his child but I believe at this point a Smart thinker will know why.

Recently the boy said the teacher now deviced a new way of spanking him. She does it in hidden places where the marks will not show because he's fair but the Mom again shunned him after telling her.

Yesterday I called her and she told me his class mate s Mom sent him on errand ( they attend the same church) my nephew bought the stuff and brought it to her. The son his classmate now accused my nephew of telling his Mom that he brought money to school or so I can't remember what it was about. My nephew said he did no such thing that he only helped his Mom to get something.

They got to school and this boy went and brought other senior boys that are 10- 12 to come and beat my nephew ( he is 8 ) up for telling his mother on him. They beat him and while all that was happening no teacher came to his rescue or even noticed. I mean for people that are paid to look after children.

My sister went to pick them and her son told her all that happened and immediately my sister called the boys and was asking them why. So she gave them a serious warning never to touch him again and left.

The next thing she got a message from the daughter of the owner of the school ( the owner who handled the first issue died this year) telling her that she has no right to come and warn those children that she took laws into her hands that my sister is no longer allowed in the school premises henceforth. My sister went there the next day and was explaining to her that she didn't touch the boys but only warned them. The woman just kept flaring up saying she harassed the boys then my sister too fired her back and said they should call the boy and ask. She went to the boys class amidst pushes and teachers dragging her not to enter she pushed her way through to the boys class and asked the boy if she touched him the boy said no. The woman was now yelling at her teachers that none of them can talk now that's she here. Meaning they all teamed up and reported to her the HM that my sister harassed the boy.

After all the argument, she threatened my sister with arrest if she sets her foot in the school again and my sister reminded her of the tooth issue that she was going to take up the matter and the owner of the school boasted that she already sacked the teacher and my sister can not do anything..

Their father was called and he came back talking trash every where that my sister went to school to fight.
My youngest sisters husband also went to the school to ask what happened and tried to settle it and all that. Now their father said the school authority said they don't want to see the children in the school again...
As in... I don't get....

She's trying to take up the matter but I said to leave them because now the woman claimed she already sacked the teacher that he chase might be futile. Instead let their father change school for them.

She's feeling bad about the way they treated her children and how nothing was done about the bullying. She wants justice for her children. Please Should she go ahead and take it up against the school because she said the woman didn't actually sack the teacher immediately, after that incidence like she claimed that it took a while and the teacher left of her own accord..

Is that the only school available or they are giving the child scholarship plus feeding and writing materials with transportation and paid excursion and/or holiday trips?

I earn some good amount of money and I'm doing okay for myself, I try as much as I can to help my family out with food stuff for example I've helped with 100k for food stuff from now till December and did a little things too like support my mom and help my dad but I'm very unhappy with my sisters and mom.

Still help as much as possible but draw boundaries. Some times you can drop money (especially if it is big) and let them know you have a project and so they should try and manage it for a period beyond the normal frequency you used to drop money.

I am tired of my wife's quarrelsome behaviour which I think she reserves for me. I can be having a honest conversation with her and out of nowhere it will lead to a quarrel with her. It surprises me.

Strange enough, I have observed her communication with neighbours, work colleagues and she knows how to compose herself but when it is me even a funny comment can upset her. Even when I tell her I didn't mean her negative interpretation of a comment, she will still insist on her negative interpretation.

She sometimes talks to me in a way that seems unfriendly to the point that I desire her talking to me the way she talks to outsiders. I have talked to her about it but it is not helping matters. She acts like she is not ware of her tone but there is a stark difference between how she talks to me and other people.

I earn far more than her and take care of the house bills so money is not an issue. I feel like I am the only one proactive about peace in the marriage while she is care-free.

How can I deal with this?

Tone down the love, affection, jokes, 'care', even provision. If you can focus more on yourself (work certifications, building projects, higher degree's/diploma's, go for them); so that you can have a good lullaby why provisioning may temporarily decrease. But whenever you choose to reignite the love, affection, jokes, 'care' et all, do to her as is expected.


If she draws to you while you are pulling away, don't distance yourself. Give her all she deserves.


Don't ever tolerate disrespect. Also don't apologies too much, even when you are wrong and especially if you're not wrong.


When you don't understand human psychology in this 'woke' generation, women that don't deserve you will frustrate your destiny.



Edited: women love a form of adventure. Even if you are already 10X better than someone she thinks is developing themselves while you aren't doing same, she'll start comparing you to them and may find it difficult to see your positives while never seeing the negatives of others.

We need to up our production capacity so that local refiners don't deplete crude oil being exported. Even the Crude exports needs to go up.

We should be looking to produce as much as 3.5 million barrels/day for both export and local refineries.

Last week I created a thread talking about how my japa plans have been crushed due to the increase in dollar.

Many adviced me to invest in dollar, this was the advice they gave me months ago but I did follow through because I wasn't sure.
My last thread hit front page and 90% of the comments were advising me to invest in dollars, one even quoted that in the past 10 years, the dollar haven't fallen but it increases every year.

One even called me a weak minded person and I am scared to take risks.
After everything I thought to myself, since so many people felt this dollar will keep on rising, maybe I should invest afterall life is all about risks.

Well guess what, dollar have decreased, I invested 3M in buying dollars and now in today exchange rate. I have 2.6M now and I either cash out now or hope it will increase.

Right now, I am very angry.
Those giving me advice should come and contribute the 400k for me o
