We are more concerned about their mental training and full adherence to professionalism rather all these combat skills that will likely be used to assault innocent Nigerians.
Karlovich: If only the lifeless vegetable would listen, he is busy building a railway for his people in Niger republic and providing Electricity to his kinsmen in Chad.
Stop listening to these hypocrites. Buhari has messed up but they are only interested in the resources they will control and the power to continue to act stupidly without retribution. Give them a chance and you'll discover buhari is ten times better than them.
I'm not sure but I think most Nigeria universities will require you to have a PGD first, but with a good result, some foreign universities will allow you proceed straight to a masters degree.
squash47: Guys, I'm graduating this year and will be applying for NYSC soon. I need advice on the best place I can apply to that will allow me to make cool money. I'm thinking of either Anambra or Edo state.
People with experience should please advise me. Thanks
In the absence of a job or access to free feeding and accommodation, please run from Edo state. I believe you have ideas on steps to take to enlarge your savings.
Thesole: what we believe is what makes us different, if premarital sex works for you fine, if it doesn't fine. What i believe works for me, i am the one experiencing it.
This is one of the philosophies I wanted you to ignore. Those claiming 'it works for them' are just trying to rope you in.
Thesole: I have done that sir. From my understanding I think people having premarital sex don't know why they are doing it
Spot on boss....... You just ensure you ignore the philosophies and focus on the path you know to be right else, you'll be led into the mud and left to swim in it like a pig.
Thesole: Good day ladies and gentlemen, Pls pardon my grammar Am still a virgin (by choice) and I have decided that if i want to have to sex, i want it to be for this motives (love, pleasure and making babies) but the rate at which young people engage in premarital sex these days make me wonder if am missing out on something else aside from this 3 major sexual motives. Base on observation between i and my non-virgin friends i can boldly say that Being a virgin is one of the best thing that has ever happened to me, it has bring me nothing but good fortune, every aspect of my life has been good to me, even in very bad situation am still excelling and I know deep down it's because I have not engage in that shameful act (sex) illegally, and I pray it's going to lead me to my lady someday.
Now with the way young people value sex especially on NL (God have mercy), am beginning to think that i might be wrong, maybe it's not the virgin thingy that is working for me oo whether maybe I should give it a try and I might like the change but if my life turn otherwise..... Lemme stop here.
My fellow Nairalanders have u ever regret having premarital sex ? If no, why do you engage in premarital sex?
Go to YouTube, search for "Iron in the soul" watch a few videos and comeback to give me an answer to your question.
You guys may not understand their plight until you travel that route. Last time I used that road was about 2 years ago and I deeply regretted it. That is a first class bad road.
dre11: Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has narrated how his Chief of Staff, Ladan Salihu, opened the warehouse which stores COVID-19 palliatives in the state for hoodlums.
The governor explained that his CoS flung the doors of the warehouse opened when hoodlums attempted a raid on the storage facility.
Mohammed, who made this known on his verified Twitter handle, said the hoodlums were disappointed when they saw an empty warehouse, adding that the foodstuffs were distributed between May and August.
blizzcelebTv: BREAKING: Tension In Abuja As Thugs Attempt To Break Into Warehouse With Suspected COVID-19 Palliatives The miscreants whose aim was to empty the facility, were repelled by the security agents including the police, army, Department of State Services personnel.
Security operatives are currently shooting sporadically at the popular UTC loated in Area 10 in Abuja as thugs attempted to break into the Art and Culture building where COVID-19 palliatives are suspected to be kept.
Several gunshots were fired into the air in an attempt to disperse the thugs.
As of the time of this report, the area, which is known as the commercial hub of the city, had been deserted while security operatives surrounded the building
The incident led to commotion as traders and passersby scampered for safety.
There have been several reports of looting of COVID-19 palliatives in many states of the country by thugs following the outburst of violence occasioned by the killing of peaceful protesters in the Lekki Toll Gate area of Lagos by the Nigerian Army on Tuesday night.
The slain demonstators were demanding an end to police brutality and state repression when their lives were cut short by soldiers.
Vivien458: We have now seen that with one mind we can achieve and move mountains. We have spoken and the president has adviced that police salaries should be increased. The main problem we have is from the Senate.. A senator in Nigeria earns as much as 29million per month. In America the Annual salary of the Senate as of 2020 is $174,000. Which is equivalent to 66,990,00 million naira a year..which is 5,582,500 million naira per month..you wonder why there country is so developed. The politicians use us, our money to enrich buy cars for themselves. Take a look at dino melaye, what can you say this guy did being a senator which so much money? If we can come together as one Nigeria, peacefully, we can start from Twitter and then gain grounds, believe me, buhari is the only man that is not afraid to implement any decisions. let us use this opportunity to make things better for us..
25,million naira can do as much as buying equipments in federal hospitals, or channeled towards unemployment in the country, channeled towards students loans, etc. You get my point.
Guys we can do this. Let start the Hashtag #SenatorsSalaryslash #senatorsMinimumWage.
My dear it's a really big shame. Most Nigerians wouldn't mind if they did their jobs and earned such bogus salaries but unfortunately, they are all greedy thieves (most of them at least).
I think we need to request for all political office holders to be paid a single salary. Collection of bonuses, gifts, pensions(or multiple pensions. If they are allowed pension then they must not receive multiple) or anything similar to the above should be criminalised.
And the salaries of a political office holder should be linked to the minimum wage of those received by workers under his or her jurisdiction. So in Nigeria for instance, the wage of the President will be linked to the approved minimum wage of 30000naira and we can agree that he is to earn 30 times the minimum wage monthly. The VP maybe paid 25 times of minimum wage.
A governor that approves 20000naira as minimum wage will be paid in multiples of that amount (eg 20 times the minimum wage) but all governors will earn by same factor but the higher the minimum wage in your state the higher you can earn. Same will apply to all the thieving senators, house of rep, house of Assembly, Local government chairmen etc.
My little take for now.
Cc: seun, lalasticlala..... Please Front page this thread.
drehdinho: Thanks to you all. I'm yet to get no response from him. Below is the screenshot of the 5k payment I made to his account.
I checked the dudes website just now. It has been taken off. Obviously, he's a scam.
@seun please do something, because this means a bad business for you when users can no longer purchase offers, service or products via ads on your platform.
This is a little serious...... Not really the best. Sad you have to face this.
TheRareGem1: Go through most of the comments on Twitter and you will wonder why there is so much ignorance growing among the Nigerian young population about the present Vice President of Nigeria. Since 1999, Nigeria has had four Vice Presidents but the attacks on one stands out.
Atiku Abubakar, Goodluck Jonathan and Namadi Sambo were Vice Presidents before incumbent Prof. Yemi Osinbajo but none of them have suffered the insults and negative comments the latter has suffered.
During the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, many atrocities were carried out but Atiku was never blamed for the actions of Obasanjo including the killings that happened in Odi, Bayelsa state. The President, Obasanjo, took all the fall for it.
Similarly, when Jonathan was VP, he did not speak or act when his boss, President Musa Yar’Adua was flown abroad for treatment. In fact, when it was confirmed that Yar’Adua had died, Jonathan could not succeed him until Nigerians like Pastor Tunde Bakare put pressure on the cabal.
Then Jonathan became President and Namadi Sambo was his VP. Sambo was not asked to speak or blamed for the kidnap of school girls in Chibok, or the killings in Bama or even the Immigration recruitment scam that killed hundreds of Nigerians.
But then came the Muhammadu Buhari administration and all of a sudden the constitutional role of the Vice President was changed in the heads of many Nigerians while it remained the same in the constitution.
Osinbajo was not only asked to speak on almost every issue from judiciary to legislature but was asked to speak even before his boss. For those who have read, the 48 Laws of Power, you will know that you should never outshine your boss but that aside, the constitution does not give him any powers.
I have seen many on social media condemn the VP for not speaking as if he is the spokesperson of the government.
Let me take us back for a bit. During Obasanjo administration, Atiku who was a former Customs officer was never asked to speak or react to the criminal activities of the Customs or on any other issue for that matter.
When Jonathan, a former education inspector and lecturer was VP, he was never asked why ASUU went on strike or why he allowed the Niger Delta militants to bomb pipeline installations neither was Sambo, a trained architect asked to comment on collapsed buildings across Nigeria but when Osinbajo became VP they changed the story.
All of a sudden, Nigerians expect him to match up to his boss. They expect him to comment on everything and anything. Please, how did this madness start? Why do we think Osinbajo has super powers? What has changed? Why are they targeting Osinbajo?
Maybe it is the availability of social media or just that this generation is very ignorant. It is unfortunate that they give Osinbajo so much power in their heads when in real life he is not even the President. He is not the spokesperson, he is just the VP like those before him.
I understand that his role as acting President plays a role. When President Buhari was away and he was acting President, he sacked the former DSS DG, Lawal Daura because his men blocked the entrance to the National Assembly. He also sent the nomination of Walter Onnoghen to the National Assembly for confirmation as Chief Justice of Nigeria but all those powers are gone since his boss returned.
I think Nigerians home and abroad need to reset their thoughts and deal with reality. What is reality? Osinbajo is just the VP and the constitution says “the vice president may take an active role in establishing policy in the Executive Branch by serving on such committees and councils, the relative power of the Nigerian vice president's office depends upon the duties delegated by the president”.
Let us stop the ignorance but even worse, let us stop equating him to his boss. The President is the President and the VP is the VP until the constitution changes the VP especially Osinbajo does not have the powers you accord him.
CuteMercury: Dear nairalanders, i am 27 years old but my Aunty in USA wants the family to make me reduce my age to 23 in all my international documents, passports etc. before coming to USA next year. Auxtin85: We don’t have natural disaster in Nigeria but leadership disaster e dey. These palliatives were to be shared to the people why was it stored ?
