thesicilian: Sounds way more exciting than FM 20. But when are they going to add Nigerian league? And also by now they should have added the ability to retrain players for specific attributes, like shooting, heading, crossing etc. Part of the reasons we do not have NPFL is cause the revenue they make from nigerians in nigeria is rather low especially as most of us come together to purchase the game or play with logins from guys like okc326, timi etc. |

Brandonx: The sad truth! Why can't ASUU look for an alternative way of making demands the striking strategy is stale and obsolete as it has not done much good to the students who are always at the receiving ends. You sound kind of ignorant. Do you have evidence that they did not seek other means of mediating with the FG? From medical doctors to PENGASSAN to NLC, has govt ever listened to any reason until strike actions were initiated? |

So who should we now believe: Nigerian Army or......... Nigerian Army ? They gave out 2 different stories for themselves. Their sense of wuru wuru is too much Sanwo Olu can only make requests, approval to such is from the commander-in-chief. |

BadBreathBoy: First start off with the incisors, making few strokes up and down. Ensuring to get the in-between of the teeth. Then over to the canines and repeat the same up and down strokes both inside and outside. Same goes for the premolars and molars. I will then proceed to scrap off the tongue, coming from the back of the tongue down to the tip. I do this a few times gently to avoid iritating the tongue.(Mine is quite sensitive, it bleeds easily) Finally, washes off with clean water.
Was I doing it all wrong, doc?

But i still got say that no matter I'm not a doctor boss, if your tongue or gum bleeds easy then you should supplement with citrus fruits and / or vitamin C. I asked how you brush cause I had similar challenge when I was much younger. I'll brush my mouth just like you described several times in a row and my siblings will still be complaining about offensive mouth odours. At a time I felt everyone was just trying to get at me. All this changed drastically after I watched a dentist on TV advising 'me' to brush my tongue, gums, teeth, upper palate, lower palate (below the tongue) and the inside of the cheeks. I may be wrong but I think garlic/onions can cause mouth odours as against what you heard. I was a bit busy that's why this is coming late. I do hope you find a good and lasting solution. |

BadBreathBoy: This guy called bad breath have haunted me all the way from primary school down to secondary and even to my university level.
I am still a young 19 years old guy at the peak of youthfulness but this guy is just ruining everything for me. My self-esteem, public speaking skills, social life, confidence, in fact, everything has been smashed with a sledgehammer right in my face. I have turned into an introvert because of this bad sickness but will cover it up with "Money on my mind" shït.
I have tried everything possible guys. Below are kinds of stuff that I have tried and it is not working.
1. Visiting a dentist. 6 months ago, I took all the money I had to go over to the dentist in search of a solution. Had to wait for hours before getting attended to. When the doctor came in, she first started with some words of encouragement.
Telling me I might not have bad breath and all, people might be thinking they have it but don't blah blah blah. (So me that have bad breath I don't know what I am saying right?) After much talk, she recommended flossing and cleaning. That exercise where water passing through a tiny hole at high speeds is used to remove plaque from in between your teeth. I had to shell out a whopping 4k for that plus the extra card of 500. All the money I saved was gone just like that. It didn't work!!! Bad breath still held me down.
2. Brushing twice a day. I did this for 1 week straight up without any improvement relative to the hard work put in. So I became less consistent with this. Toothpaste I have tried includes, Oral B, MyMy, Maclean, Close up, name it. Didn't work.
3. Garlic and ginger. Some persons here on Nairaland recommend that ginger and garlic can be used to drive off bad breath. The prescription was to swallow it whole before going to bed at night then brush in the morning to remove the after-effects. I tried this for one week. Didn't work.
4. Mouthwash: I have wasted more than 4k in buying mouthwash but these things are just 2 hours wonder from the moment of application. I get fresh breath for the time being but after like 3 to 4 hours, the bad breath keeps on coming back. Still didn't work.
5. Hydrogen peroxide: Someone also recommended I use this to chase bad breath. It also works for sometime after which bad breath comes back. I even tried to dilute less than normal for maximum effects but the only thing I got was an irritating burn on my tongue. I am so not using this guy again!
6. Walnut: Some said walnut could be my Savior so I had to buy them in large quantity to chew but it didn't have long-term effects. So I ditched it. I don't have money to waste as I am still a student.
7. Chewing a combination of bitter leaf, scent leaf, and guava leaves: Out of intuition, I decided to try this combination. My common sense inferred that since it was bitter, it should probably have some effects on the bacteria in my mouth. But alas! Bad breath wasn't even impressed one bit. I even had to stuff them in my pocket and chew on them while going to class. This was a big flop. Didn't work at all.
8. Agnes Nwamma Herbal powder: I don't know what to say about this one, because it was even better that I just didn't brush for that day. Very useless in fighting off bad breath.
The funny thing that leaves my jaw-dropping is that my dad doesn't even brush, he uses a chewing stick but still has a very fresh breath than I that used mouthwash, baking powder, toothpaste and still chew the chewing stick to top that.
9. Chewing gum like Clorets, Methos: I have to be frank about these gums, they kind of aggravates the bad breath. They are simply applying salt to injury so I just stopped using them altogether.
Pls Nairalanders, help me out here. There have been lots of people who found a solution to their problem on here, so I doubt mine will be different. Pls, I need something else to try that will not dig a hole in my pocket as I am still trying to stand on my feet. I need a permanent solution not 3 hours wonder.
Lala pls push to the front page so I can get a large set of solutions to fight this off.
I don't want to resume school like this. I am tired, I am weak, disheveled, exhausted, dejected, depressed, anguished, melancholic, in fact, I have tayad like this.
My confidence and esteem have been crushed by bad breath. Shyness, inability to have streamlined chat with people, playing deaf and dumb, using hand signals whilst communicating, smiling like a peacock when my opinion is required, staying away from girls, snubbing people, rejecting positions that have me talk to a crowd has taken over!!
Pls, abeg, mbok, biko, I need a solution. A permanent one at that. Please describe how you brush your mouth. |

EBMedia: A lawyer, Joseph Arikpo has accused a DPO and his officers in Cross River State of brutalising him when he went to solicit the bail of a young man who had been in detention for over six days, IgbereTV reports.
According to the Calabar based lawyer, the incident happened at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ikom, on Sunday, November 8. Narrating his ordeal on Tuesday morning, November 10, Arikpo said trouble started when the DPO called him a stupid man.
Arikpo claimed that when he asked not to be insulted, the DPO 'punched him repeatedly and afterwards threw him into cell where he was further assaulted by some officers.'

Politics › Re: 4 Ways Joe Biden As United States President Will Affect Nigeria by sonofthunder: 7:29am On Nov 06, 2020 |
Canih28: The US presidential election is as tight as tight can be, and though there's no ruling out the hope that a miracle could occur that would give President Trump the win, it is clear that Joe Biden, the Democrat candidate, will win the elections and become the new president of the US. Without further ado let's begin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) Nigerian Immigrants to the United States. When Donald Trump was in office, he was famous for his love for anti-immigration. His major campaign promise in 2016 was to build a wall along the border between the United States and Mexico. He was even quoted once as using racist words against African countries (something President Buhari should have addressed when he visited Donald Trump in the White House), calling them sh*thole. With Joe Biden, I guess we will see a more relaxed policy on immigration. Maybe Nigerians would get visa on arrival to the US! (Just kidding).
2) I really don't know how Joe Biden plans to aid Africa like China is doing right now. China has contributed billions to the development of Africa (and Nigeria) with loans and grants, and it pales in comparison to what America has been giving. Joe has not been clear on his stance there.
3) Joe Biden's policies on the economy might be described as a little bit socialistic in nature. In fact, an analysis (and I think they got it wrong) shows that his policies will increase the US national debt by at least $5.6 trillion, when it stands at $20 trillion at the moment. Joe will increases taxes in the US in order to generate income, but he also advocates massive federal spending because of the coronavirus pandemic, to aid SMEs. How would this affect Nigeria? Simple! I foresee a dollar collapse due to his policies (I don't have the time to explain deeply), and it would affect the Nigerian economy in a negative way.
4) Joe plans to expand on his former boss, Barack Obama's policies like Obamacare. Maybe that means he would also expand on Obama's Africa policies too, like Power For Africa. Maybe he can rescue Power For Africa from the failure that it became. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know that whatever happens in the United States will one way or another, affect every country in the world, so I couldn't help wonder how a Biden presidency would affect Nigeria. Although Joe Biden has never been president before, he has held the Vice Presidential office during the tenure of former President Barack Obama. Maybe the policies of his former boss would give us a clue to what he would have in store for Africa in general, and Nigeria in particular. Hello, please explain how a dollar collapse will affect us negatively, make I learn something today. |
RuudVanNisteroy: Warri nor dey carry last.
Warri was the city I was born and raised in as a Yoruba boy. So, many good memories.
This city had major oil corporations that employed thousands of oil workers in Shell, Chevron, NNPC, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Neconde and many other small oil servicing companies. This city should have been a pride not only to Nigeria, but Africa. There was a lot of oil money flowing around and it also had a large number of expatriate staff who came from England, Netherlands, United States and many other countries working for the various oil companies.
The city is now a ghost of it's self. Most of the major oil companies and oil serving companies have moved their offices to Lagos or Port Harcourt,due to the insecurity in the city and kidnapping of oil companies staff.
This is a city that could have rivaled Abuja, Nairobi, Windhoek, Cape Town if resources where properly utilized to tranform this oil rich city.
Can people still living in Warri upload pictures of the present developments. The city town is today an eyesore...... Nicknamed the "keke rich city of warri" as that is now the town's major employer of labour. |
