Hello Mama's, kindly help a first time mum o. Recently when breastfeeding my baby, she sucks for some time then she starts struggling and behaves as if she's choking and starts crying. At this point I burp her and try feeding her again and the whole process repeats itself. It relieves her during night feeding and some times during the day. Has anyone experienced this and what could be the cause. Thanks

Your milk let down is very powerful so it comes out too fast. Either this or she rushes the milk. Don't let her cry so much before you offer her breast. It will finally stop ok.

Clean it gently, don't go deep up. Make sure bath water doesn't enter her ears. If the discharge is heavy pls take her to d hospital.

Not for me but a friend. She has a 9yrs old son and has been trying since then. She's in late 30s

Before grinding, roast d crayfish slightly in frying pan. Have never used potato, what I used then was unripe plantain. I slice it thinly and sun-dry, then I roast it in frying pan/oven till it's brownish(till it's done). I mill it together with my crayfish, groundnut and soyabeans. I add into d pap when i'm ready to feed. For your potato, you can roast in d oven till it's done then you mill. I hope this helps

Pls mama's come to my rescue ooo, it's 20days now n my babys cord is still intact. I started using chloxyl gel and I noticed it wasn't dried at all after a week so I stopped using chloxyl gel n I went to hospital to check for infections n d Dr confirmed it wasn't infected but I should continue cleaning with spirit n cotton wool, till now it's still intact. I noticed a flesh like stuff on d belle botton n an upper part of the Tommy close to d belle botton was red ( not oozing out pus, no smell, not running temperature either but just d redness ) I went to hospital again. Pls Sabi mamas what else should I do? Dis is driving me crazy my BP has increased, I'm just so confused, pls make una help me I dey beg oooo.

The culprit is that chlorxyl gel, it delays falling off of d stump. It happened to me and I quickly switched to methylated spirit. Keep using original methylated spirit, clean d baseevery well, it will eventually fall off. Just guard against infection. Relax ok, no need getting worked up.
Remember to clean frequently

Am due by Oct. (Edd 17th) but my Dr that i ve been receiving her medication for the past 20 months is suggesting seriously that I go elective CS cos of all we went through to get to this point. There ve not been any complication of any kind since I took in and several scans I did shows baby is very fine and cephatically presented. I am thinking i shld try VD before any other option but right now am so confused. Note: am 37yrs.

Plz I need candid advice from my e-family. Don't mince words, jst tell me your mind d way it is. D highest opinion I ll take as my final decision. Dh says anyone I want we ll go for it.

That's what I did with my first 2 and exactly what i'm doing now with my baby. I have never given cereals in the night, I give d last meal 9pm to 9:30pm after that na bf. Me cannot come and kill myself

Is d menstrual pain continuous? If it's off and on, try timing it from d beginning of one to d beginning of d next one. See if there's a pattern or if it's regular. All the best dear.

A single viable active fortius sorry fetus in cephalic presentation,longitudinal lie.Fetal cardiac activity and body/limb movement is actively noted.FHR=140Bpm.Plancenta is anterior,towards upper uterine segment,normal in thickness and echotexture of grade 0 maturation.
Liquor volume is adequate. Os is closed.No gross visceral anomaly.No uterine myoma.
MATURITY
BPD=46.7mm,corresponding tob20weeks 5days
FL=31.6mm,corresponding to 20weeks3days
EDD19/01/17
AC=190mm
EFW=0.56kg

my worry is the Abdominal circumference being large for the gestational age I have a feeling the fetal weight is small.

Hi mama, you know this scan measurement of a thing is dependent on d expertise of d sonographer. Also d large AC may be due to how baby positioned himself during d scan.
Also if I remember well, my SIL had gestational diabetes and her baby had large AC then during scan. Her doctor said it was related. Pls discuss with your doctor.

mothers pls advise me,hubby and I decided that my 2 year old shld start sleeping in the room wt his brother but the boy has been waking up every night to come to our room and gently crawls to the bed,we will just see him on our bed in the morning so av been alert,I will send him back to their room but he will cry to d extent that neighbours will ask d next day wt I did to him. hubby warned him one night before going to bed bt he still came to the room at night and slept on the chair,by morning his body was full of mosquito bites,if we lock d door he will cry at d entrance till am forced to open cos his cry will be soooo loud at that time of the night.pls wt can we do?we CNT even kpekus in peace for fear of him walking in or banging d door abi which kind be dis?

Lol! Stop driving him so hard if not he will even get more clingy. He's just 2 so can't be as independent as you want. Some days indulge and some days lie down with him in his room till he sleeps off b4 you retire to your room. Also keep light for them in d room so that he doesn't get frightened.
For me once I wean, my kids move to their room so I don't wait till they are bigger cos it's harder then. Even at that my 2nd son,almost 4yrs old still comes to my room once in awhile in d early hours of the morning.
Don't worry with time he will get a hang of it. As for kpekus, reschedule it for late nights instead of early hours of d morng.
That's d price of parenthood

Sorry to bug everyone this late. Just coming from the hospital as I've been purging since Monday. I was given some drugs (my doctor isn't around so another dr attended to me) and I just want t b sure it's safe to take in 2nd trimester

Amoxyl 500mg
Imodium

I'm thinking of waiting till tomorrow to start so I can get in touch wt my Dr later 2moro.

D drugs are okay to use in 2nd trimester. Sorry about d purging. Drink plenty of water for better excretion of d bugs. When I purged seriously in my pregnancy, only 2 doses of flagyl saved d day so u may not even complete the whole regimen. Doooh.
