FamilyRe: Prenuptial Agreements by spoilt(f): 10:56pm On May 28, 2007
Itse:
The idea behind prenup in Nigeria is for the protection of women, in the event of the marriage crashing, over the years women in Nig have been on the receiving end of marriage break ups. Though it shows lack in believe of lifetime span, it helps to see that women don't get throw out with nothing, It makes her aware of legal protection she can cover herself with.

Personally, i wont do a prenup, but i wont dismiss it altogether, it jus might help a woman get a soft landing, if things get really rough!
i kinda agree. having a pre-nup doesnt mean madam wont get something when the marriage ends. she should be well covered since it's likely the woman gets to keep the kids anyway. it just prevents her from walking away with a huge chunk of his wealth.

but then again if majority of the wealth was earned during the marriage i think she should get a huge chunk. especially if it was a long term marriage.

im only angered when the bimbos like heather who only stay in a marriage 3 to 4 years expect half. angry

Women want a joint account because they already know that they are not going to stay in that marriage, hence they can have something to claim after divorce. or better still poison the man.

CareerRe: Should I Leave My Good Job In The Uk For A Job In 9ja. by spoilt(f): 6:10am On May 26, 2007
frosbel:
I advice you to be careful. I am in a similar situation and I am a british citizen ( dual nationality ) earning a basic of £35,000 yearly but with a wife and 2 boys. That about £3000.00 monthly before tax which is quite a lot.

For a single man I will say get a job first, a firm offer and accept nothing less than 450,000 Naira monthly. But for someone like me , a minimum of 800,00 Naira or else nothing because do not forget that you will want to live comfortably back home in a secure environment without any hassle.

I know dozens of Nigerians, a consultant, professionals, entry level graduates, who are yearning to return home but at the right price.

God is able, just think carefully, before you go from frying pan to fire.
people live very well in naija with less than that . just so you know.
by the way even with your bumper salary in the u.k or u.s the bills keep pouring in. no escape! grin
