Bubu is building the Niger Bridge for these useless ingrates, fixing several SE roads that their gods and sons who looted the country dry didn't do for them. Atleast you know some folks are pathetically in love with corruption and trash...

This is NOT an invention. It is process based on pyrolysis which is far older than the half ignorant OP posting this mature technology as an invention. There is a small company in S.A. commercializing these pyrolysis furnaces. There are thousands of designs on YouTube and many coys in China also selling these stuff.

The Tucano already has a very modern target acquisition and surveillance system which allows the aircraft deploy laser guided munitions. It doesn't need to carry a pod since it already has a built in FLIR system. The Tucanos would be our primary ground attack aircraft.

A targeting pod like the Aselpod or Lightening functions in the same fashion as the FLIR in the Tucano.

My question was, the capabilities would be too overlapping, and i really don't see the need for a quick purchase of a targeting pod for the JF-17.

My point is that the FLIR BRITE Star II multi-sensor targeting imager that can also do ISR is ......ONE step below the capabilities of a full targeting pod. The corresponding targeting pod AN/AAQ-28(V) LITENING for precision strike has not been approved for Super Tucano. Indeed the whole point of the Super Tucano is to find a way round heavy, expensive targeting pods for taking out bad guys. You are correct we don't need the LITENING or any other expensive pods even though it must be realized that accurate weapons delivery is still one step below precision strike.
Will they do the same thing?
Some munitions will take out the ground around a slowly moving Boko Haram vehicle and destroy the vehicle. Precision strike will take out the vehicle turret and neutralize everyone inside.

How many targeting pods have been qualified for Super Tucano?. Maybe ZERO. If we are acquiring targeting pods, the weight limitations aside, i am sure we will run afoul of the US and its risk management framework for supplying the aircraft to us. We will deploy ground attack capability that puts their assets under risk.
By conception, these aircraft will always be COIN with "4th generation capability equivalents" not a "4th generation aircraft" in every sense.

All modern fighters come equipped with Data links to share information between them Link 16 being the standard Data link in US exported fighters and TKS-2/R-098 for Sukhoi fighters , even our Gripen came with SAABs own Data Link although we use Link ZA instead.

What I'm talking about is a Defence wide tacticle Data link(Not just Data links used on air platforms), one were information can be shared by all platforms be it air to air, air to ground and ground to ground......Something like Link 22 or Link 16( not reduced to air platforms only).

Some of these datalinjs give supplier countries spectator seats on all military operations you are doing in your country. It won't even take much. An officer in some boring office in the NSA will mi e troves of info on humdreds of ongoing military operations. Bots will do the hard job for him.

Yaradua's political structure is caucus politics. We are talking populist vote harvesting. Who was Yaradua even. Buhari's best friend at a time. You guys don't know much. It's like comparing Donald Trump to the structure of the Republican Party in the US. Donald Trump is now more powerful than the Republican Party. In the SE of Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu is more powerful than PDP and APGA combined. Stop fawning about "structure", the word is meaningless. APC structure almost got disgraced in Osun State just because of sentiment about the elder Adeleke's (ex governor) suspected murder.

To say Buhari was being followed because people thought he had something upstairs reeks of sentiment and it is also very stupid. Buhari is vert intelligent, strategic and principled but populism does not even look at those qualities. Populism looks at the message. The message in the North is AMANA. Corruption free governance targeted at public morality and emancipation of the poor.

It is not educated to use southern eyes to look at the North...or rather you can but the failure at the polls will shock you unnecessarily

All geo political regions in Nigeria are politically savvy except the SE.

Also Buhari, is poised to win majority votes in the SS over Atiku. The myth of PDP invicinbility in SS will be broken once and for all.

If the age requirement to run for the office of the president is 40 years and I step forward and you think am not up to 40 and you go to court. The onus is on me to produce my birth certificate.
Likewise, if the academic qualification stipulates ssce, the evidence is the certificate and if there is any contention to this, the solution is to produce the certificate and not long grammar. QED.

There is NO academic qualification for office of the President. It is the deterioration of Nigeria's educational system that is worrying you. They don't teach critical thinking in schools in Nigeria. The Presidency of Nigeria is not a job you apply for with a school certicate qualification. Get your mind off the low levels of thinking.

The constitution document even equates 10nyears of service in govt as equal to school cert ..but i guess your small mind did not see that. Ordinary Nigeria Military Training School education is above school cert. Even in the PDP, the very well educated and exposed are not flying with this certificate thing. It is stupid. If you are scared of the man winning elections you need to do more than bringing off point issues like school cert. And YES, you need a lot of work to do. The man is coasting to victory with a landslide and there is nothing anybody can do about it. Save GOD who can do all things.

This letter of projection to pass exam and a testimonial from secondary school PRINCIPAL was necessary and sufficient to meet Nigerian Army criteria.

It is even more than sufficient to meet constitutional requirements for President. You don't need a certificate to prove you have been "educated to a standard equivalent to WASC". In the old days, people were entering university with no cert but on the basis of passing entrance exams. "Awaiting Results".

Most well educated Nigerians with higher degrees find the whole noise about certificates very demeaning for them to comment about. It is a brainless issue. If you did not struggle to get WASC, WASC will be nothing to you. It is the dullards amongst us who see this thing as an issue.

It is clear from his army career, speech, carriage, experience and exposure that Buhari is far educated beyond WASC. If you dont think so, your IQ should be called into question.

The Nigerian Air Force Regiment are a Special Operations Unit whose core mandate is to provide base security, specialized counter terror and covert operations.

They are not an air defence unit. Only the Nigerian army has ground based air defence systems.

The unit was formed in 2014 after Boko-Haram attackef a Nigerian Air Force base in maiduguri damaging 2 MI-24V helicopters and 4 MIG-21 jets.

The Shilkas and 23mm's are deployed as area defence/area denial roles. They are not an air defence weapon.

The problem is that this man has a history of selling things only to himself and his friends for cheap. The sold assets are never managed well and eventually don't make profit with the result that they don't pay taxes to govt. I think the FG should start with its real estate holdings of close to N5Trillion.

There are rumours the NAF want to purchase upgraded Shilka's from Ukraine.

So there is an air defence corps that used to be part of NAF. If you are going to arm them with Shilkas then let them be part of the Nigerian Army. No modern air force should be operating AA guns even upgraded ones like the ZSU-23-4M-A.
