Celebrities › Re: Busola Dakolo Demands N10 Million & An Apology From Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo by Sterope(f): 6:41pm On Sep 09, 2019 |
In Nigeria, most lawyers don't bill per hour. They are responsible for stating the cost they would be asking before the court and depends on a lot of factors. It looks iffy to you but not to her lawyers. Frankly, we don't care. Many people are of the opinion that a male rapist who is also a pastor should not face the consequences of his actions. isthatso: I have sued before, I didnt determine the exact legal costs before hand because lawyers bill per hour and you dont know how far a case will go, so you dont really know what your costs are. Each time they attend court lawyer will bill you, each time they are working on your case, Lawyer will bill you. What you do is ask for "costs" which will be determined by the judge at the conclusion of the case. What if the case goes on for 5 years and legal costs run into 50m and she has only asked for 10m?
secondly, I dont think it is rocket science to be aware that if you ask for an amount it looks iffy. Especially when you know the public is split on the issue. It's either bad legal representation or hidden motive clounding rational thinking. Because it doesnt take a rocket scientist in a sensitive case like this to simply say change the N10m to "legal costs", let the judge ask what are the legal costs because he must ask before he give judgement!! |

Is that not what she did? To layman, it looks iffy but that is how it is done. There is nothing iffy about asking for cost of an action. isthatso: ahh ok legal costs, the headline was misleading. Like I said I have always thought she was raped and was shocked a woman would say what she said.
Either way she has not done herself or her lawyers have not done her any favours. She could just have demanded a public apology and legal costs. To state the amount when the case has not even started makes the whole thing look iffy. Let the judge determine legal costs. |

What silly lady told you that? She is not demanding 10m from him. She is demanding for him to pay the cost of action she is bringing against him that includes the lawyers fees, etc. Cc Fynestboi, MissyB3 The title and content of this article are misleading and false. isthatso: 10m is the price of your dignity? A lady told me this girl wasnt raped, I didnt believe her and I was shocked that woman would say such a thing about a fellow woman, especially because I was convinced she was raped. But she kept tellling me "trust me I am a woman, I know when a woman was raped"
That an apology and 10m is your price makes me now question the whole story. I am not a woman but I'd like to think that if indeed she was raped no price would compensate her. |

What have you the impression that she wasn't taking care of herself? Working out can only do so much. You don't know what happened to her. meobizy: She should get on a yoga routine because it may break again. I don’t understand why people sit around and assume their bodies take care of themselves. Working out is your utmost priority because you have only one life and one body to enjoy it with. |

What is the problem then? What exactly is your question? If he is not adamant about pregnancy, fix a date for the wedding, let him invite her and live happily ever after. Court wedding doesn't take forever. They can be married in a week, she can secure a visa if everything goes according to plan in less than two months. If I were you, I will.listen to people's advice. You are not this man's mind, you can't know him. Display of affection is not enough to show true love. If he loves her, he should do the needful. Prepping a woman to be the Naija wife or a maid is very real. blackangel0403: he wants a family he will take over there because of culture and also he loves my sis, for all the people saying he wants a Nigerian wife, I kept quiet because I know the real truth. Guy means his words 100% and he is not insisting on getting pregnant, he suggested it to her because he wants to assure her he is here for stay, I am only buying into the idea because I don’t want her to miss this opportunity, she might never see such opportunity again in her life because of our Nigerian men mentality. Like one pointed out earlier, no sane man wants to take responsibility of another mans children. For dose saying am the one desperate here, maybe because I know better in the case than u and I can smell the future if she looses this guy. |

UK has been part of the EU for years. Basically, trade, healthcare, research, transport, border control, immigration....almost every damn thing is intertwined. Which means they might have to start from the scratch. Most importantly is the trade deal and the Irish border. The EU and the UK need to reach an agreement that will not affect movement of goods and services moving into the UK. It also doesn't help that there is Ireland and Northern Ireland. There is a whole lot of bitter history between the Irish and the English. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, Ireland isn't but it is part of EU. There isn't much divide on both Irish sides and they wouldn't allow a situation whereby any deal reached by EU or Britain affects the relationship, ease of movement from Ireland to Northern Ireland. There are also other consequences that affects individuals like new passport rules, health insurance etc Zane2point4: What do the Uk have to loose if the pull out from the eu. Pls educate. |

The people didn't vote to leave EU with a bad deal or uncertainty. The parliament is there to guarantee that we leave with a deal that won't leave the UK weaker. Besides the English were the ones that voted for leave not the rest of the UK. superior1: Make e go siddon. The people voted brexit and the decision of the people must be upheld |

You think a loyal girl that has sense will wait for you to get sense ceeceeco: I love my strategy. I will shower these girls with sweet words and keep having sex with them, so whenever i'm done with any girl, I'll just change my lifestyle from being nice, & she will get fed up with my attitude & dump herself thinking she dumped me. I don't dump girls, rather they dump themselves. It's very simple, if I want her to leave me, I just stop being nice. This strategy doesn't apply to the loyal ones though, which perhaps I haven't found any, but if I find one, I'll definitely keep her. So my point is that, i don't take girls serious, because, I'm yet to find one who is loyal. Sometimes I just use them to pass time...Simple! |

Exactly, many people are shortsighted. It is unfortunate these are youths, you would think they will know better. It is different if a protest goes awry but coming inline to justify this madness...it beats me. ornicus: This right here.
This is exactly the story of kidnapping.
I remember years ago I was in the staff bus and one foolish woman started pointing at white dudes on the road and joking about how much their ransom would be. Several other fools in the bus were laughing along with her. They were too shortsighted to see that kidnapping, if unchecked would trickle down. Today you have stark incompetent illiterates engaging in mass indiscriminate kidnapping of any unlucky soul that they can catch.
