pocohantas:
You are in love with her poise. In that your coconut head, you are already imagining your boss moaning under you.

The minute she agrees to date you, the Nigerian man in you will come out. You will start looking for how to “tame” her and knack “submission” into her head. You will start controlling her expenses, giving her headache and complaining of how she isn’t respecting you because she has money or is richer. She would start walking on eggshells, trying to satisfy your ever-needy-ego. 70% of the glow that attracted you would be gone in 60seconds.

Better go focus on your sub-for-me girlfriend. undecided

There are many Yorubas that are willing to recount their experiences working in an Igbo dominated organisations as well. It is what happens when you have majority and minority in the same space.

You are trying to give mad people an identity. Soon, you begin to embody that bigotry as well.

The people of Nigeria own that land. The money came from us as well.

ekestic1976:
I'm surprised at you. Who owns the land? Who built ALL the physical structures? Should payment of salaries alone confer ownership? Who owns the NAME, Government? You people have hidden behind Government to do much evil in Nigeria!
PoliticsRe: Hijab As Red Meat Of Bigotry - By Farooq A. Kperogi by Sterope(f):
Are you minding them? Mission schools were one of the tools of colonisation. Their funding came from people who exploited our lands and enslaved others but as good Christians decided to save our pagan souls.

Very thoughtful! grin

The earliest schools (and hospitals) in the area were established not by the government but by American Southern Baptist Christian missionaries who first appeared in my hometown in 1948. Until the early 1980s, Christian Religious Knowledge (or, as it was called then, Bible Knowledge) was compulsory in Baptist Grammar School, my alma mater, even though the federal government had urged the take-over of missionary schools by the 1970s

Cultism has to be the most pathetic and useless group anyone can join. You are a victim of a society and school that doesn't care about its future; you decide to turn on yourselves because of ego, girls, and petty cash that doesn't give real value. How silly and pathetic can your life be though?

Islamic state schools allow others not to wear hijabs for example Isabatudeen Secondary school in Ibadan. They are also not under any obligation to partake in religious ceremonies.

I'm.a student of history....you can't becloud my political inclination ....Never! And if you're a political illiterate, I'm here to spoon-feed you with adequate knowledge so that you will correct the erroneous notion you have about US...
I know it is not your fault, it is the fault of some of your illiterate Islamic clerics or Alfa who kept on feeding you with sermon of lies about non-Muslim countries ...and you also have the responsibility to check if the porridge of deceptive sermon they are feeding you is true or false instead of spending your entire life on social media.
I know the cause of Syria, Afghanistan, Libya civil war....US wasn't in the picture at the initial stage....US later came to help when all those who are saddle with the responsible refuse to act.
In Afghanistan, US Army is the saving grace of the government in power otherwise, the insurgent group could have turned the country into burial grounds...
In Syria, the president of Syria wants to wipe out all Sunni Muslims in the country if not for the intervention and presence of the US Army...I continue telling you how US military presence has been able to quench genocide attempts of these Muslim countries if not for the prompt intervention of the US...
The question is this, what is your Islamic organization doing presently for all the vulnerable countries, even vulnerable community in Nigeria where so many people have been living in IDP camp for the past 5 years...

I know how much some churches are donating to all these IDPs every month and these camps are dominated by Muslim people...

The last time I stopped going to that evil mosque was the day one of those evil cleric hit me so hard on my face with his rosery that it broke and I had a swollen face. We became a christian a while after then and have known peace, most Islamic people are too babaric, callous and mean. I just don't like that religion at all. They just like fight and making trouble always. I still have Muslims friends though.

You are the brainwashed one, dear. They don't moan about it but they were persecuted.

Education and Christianity OR No Education.

That was the choice that was given. They came, grabbed our lands and wealth, shared it with the churches to further strip us of our identities. They baptised them and gave them Christian names. they left, their cronies continued with the madness.

Did you think Ansarudeen school was created because some Muslims thought it would be cool to have a Muslim missionary school? You are allowed not to use hijab in Ansarudeen schools. wink

Did you think MSSN happened because it was also cool?

Those are the direct consequences of that religious persecution that happened long agocheesy. It prevented many their children from going to school even after the whites left. The good news is after this experience, many of these Muslim children who don't care for hijab, know better now just like their fathers before them.

Ephemmm:
What persecution? It seems that you have been brainwashed. You have ansarudeen public schools; why disturbing the peace in other public schools with religious orientation.

For your information, Christians and any other religions are not against Hijab or whatever you lots called it. If you guys want to use hijab let it be in Islamic school or any other places not in Christian schools. Is that too hard to understand? Christian schools have their uniform and i am sure hijab is not part of the uniform in any Christian schools and vice versa.

The Governor of the state should deal with other problems in the state rather than taking side on a matter that has been taken to the Court.

All Yoruba issues will therefore come to an end and our Leaders shall remain the same old cronies that ruined Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Hijab Crisis: Kwara CAN Releases 1974 Agreement With Govt(photo) by Sterope(f): 12:17pm On Mar 19, 2021
Are you telling their stories for them? Are you supporting the persecution now?

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH.

If it was that straightforward, we won't have Ansarudeen schools and the rest of them.

Ephemmm:
It should be a fight for religion supremacy in public setting then because attended the missionary schools by many muslim adults who have grown up to be a leader today has not made them to be less islamic.

If the above is the case, the real Yoruba culture that imbibed the use of scarves should be invoked in the spirit of equity as the use of berets and Hijab is strange in Yoruba's culture.
