Says who? Are you assuming for them and treat them as such or did the Seriki come to tell you that? Sometimes when you start to have certain discussions and thoughts, you leave room for such madness. CobraAnambra: It is not the question of 'being superior' but 'equal/ parallel' to an existing authority. The audacity thereof is self-derived. You limit your understanding of the issue with lots of assumptions.

No I am not fucking kidding you. The highest authority amongst THEMSELVES. Primarily, the Seriki exist as the leader and representative of their little community. They can choose to turn into whatever they want. Unless you give them that audacity, they don't dare say it is superior to that community's I forgot to mention, I don't care for any monarchy. CobraAnambra: Having parallel monarch(s)/ highest organ of aut hority in the same community?. By which law would the parallel monarch would have existed? Are you fucking kidding me?

Why can't they enthrone a monarch amongst themselves? CobraAnambra: I strongly doubt you understand the point. You would think it's about choosing a leader/representative amongst themselves But the reality is that they are enthroning a monarch amongst themselves. This has to stop.

I disagree with you on your assumption. If at all there is a reason, it is more about their culture than these unorthodox reasons. The strong ties make them less likely to cooperate with those they consider outside forces. Lol. They are still coexisting Awoleesu: Yes, I agree with you. But it is encouraged to coexist. These nations don't give statutory recognition talk more preeminence to such "enclave authorities" as we have here.
Truth is the Oriental natives (especially Chinese and Indians) have many things in common with our Hausa/Fulani neighbors: They deliberately alienate themselves from mainstream community (for unorthodox reasons tho). The same can be said of the Mexicans and Caribbeans/Latin community.
I guess that is why the state law enforcement agents always make their presence available in these enclaves... |

I don't understand you. In developed countries, not all immigrants and citizens live alike in similar areas, you are more likely to find people with strong social and cultural ties living together separate from the rest of the 'community. There are Chinatowns for a reason. There are places where you will find more Mexicans; Pakistanis, Jamaicans. Awoleesu: Exactly! Having enclaves within a supposed free community is the launching pad for criminality! This is the bane of developing nations...
Immigrants and citizens alike live in areas mapped as 'Residential' in developed countries for a reason... |

There is nothing arrant nonsense about choosing a leader amongst themselves. The arrant nonsense is believing they are superior to the leaders of the land and the government recognising them. Neither should be relevant in the bigger scheme of things. This madness should not go unpunished, Seyi Makinde and co should suffer for it. The Seriki did not force the government to place them above the Baale of Sasha. At most, it should be a joint effort. Seyi Makinde has proven himself ineptitude in protecting the lives and properties of the Oyo people. This wouldn't have happened under Ajimobi. CobraAnambra: I have always maintained that all these strange titles( Seriki fulani, Sarkin hausa, Ezendigbo, Oba Yoruba ) in another man's region is arrant nonsense. Everyone must submit to the local/native authorities as constituted by the community. The regional system was the best practiced so far, there was no culture clash or insubordination. Western Nigeria, Midwestern Nigeria, Eastern Nigeria & Northern Nigeria. As the names imply, you go into the region with utmost respect for both local and regional authorities. Unfortunately, the tag "One Nigeria" has bastardized our respective heritage and culture value under a unitary constitution in a false federalism.

I can't comprehend any version of my life that I would take up arms against my brother's fiancee/wife and family because she is inferior. I shouldn't find it surprising if they never spoke to me again. lovethchioma: Guy do you even understand the implication of what you are saying?
This is to say your mum is a stranger in the family. And to your dad, his own parents and siblings comes first before you, your siblings and your mum.
If your dad had this mentality of yours, it would then mean his family is his parents and siblings because your mum could wake up one day and leave. Just because in your subconscious "women are not Loyal".
Shey it's because your dad valued your mom over his extended family, that's why you even have a family to call family.
Don't create a dysfunctional family for your children please. I don't know why people get married with this mentality. No wonder marriages keep crashing like this.
My family over my wife. Then who is your wife to you? Phone battery?
I hope your wife has this mentality too... and value her own family over you, since you are not not family too...
Once you are married. Your wife and children becomes your immediate family. The rest are your extended family. Know this and Know peace. |

I don't understand the whole thing. Minus this royal issue, I don't care for Meghan or her acting. My issue is that the British royalty represents a lot of things modern society should abandon. They also represent classism, the royal fans asses make this funfair about how a bloodline is more superior. Personally, I want to see the superior bloodline 'tainted'. People who don't fit are bullied, this is where Meghan comes in. Plus the race factor and the fact that men including self-hating black men have called her names. Not sure if they made the right decision by speaking to Oprah but they made a decision that is reasonably the best for their family. salem1996: Many people think she seduce Harry out of royalty, but thank God you understand the whole thing. They allianated themsleves because they feel she isn't royalty therefore a disgrace to them. He love her so much that paying attention to them is not worth it SIMPLE. Africans and their quest for power will choose anything that makes them feel BOSS over others than being truthful to what they love. Harry is really a man, is not easy to be truthful seeing the kind of privileges he has yet contented enough to be sincere |

They overdo it just like those terrible male bosses. When you think you are not supposed to be surbodinate to your boss at work because you possess a penis, you will have issues with her authority. Sixfeetbelle: I think the issue is that women need to put more stamp on their authority than a man would naturally. And in so doing, may overdo it.
When I was serving, I was assigned as a class teacher to an SS3 class of mixed students. If not that the children were already well-behaved as a result of their former Teacher (male), I would have gone home crying everyday. In fact, by the time I was done serving, some of them were beginning to "rebel".
As a subject teacher, I taught Junior classes. However the JSS3 class I was teaching were beyond rowdy and pleading with them did nothing.
For like the first two months, the headteacher always visited me when I was teaching to complain about my students rowdiness. By the third month after a few queries, I changed it for them in a forceful way, such that by the time I was almost leaving, most of them knew not to cross me. Surprisingly, while they didn't initially respect me, they absolutely feared another female teacher. In fact, there was a day they were being rowdy and I ignored them only for her to pass the corridor next to their classroom and order was restored instantly.
If you asked me initially, I would have told you that female teacher was harder to work with, but by the time I was about to leave, I understood why most female bosses are the way they are.
People generally find it easier to undermine your authority if you're a female, majorly due to our orientation about women, so instead of giving in to the disrespect, most women would rather toughen up and deal with the insurbodination the way they know how to. Unfortunately, their way may come off as aggressive to some people. |

That driving one takes the cake. Every single time I have heard that thrash talk except for that one time, the drivers have been proven wrong, it doesn't change their conclusion though. The bad driver is still driving like a woman. pocohantas: Like it is so hard being a female boss. It is either because you own a vagina, you are not married, you are childless or maybe your husband is abusing you some way. They must sha profile you. It is the same thing you see in driving, the number of times I have had men drive nonsense this week alone, if na me drive that thing- they will quickly say “na woman”.
I like my organization because you can’t profile a woman o. You dare not say it out, else na you go leave for the woman. |

Started with Adam, so shall it continue pocohantas: I understand, I already said it. It has to be a woman....
A man cheats, because of a woman. A man is violent; because of a woman. A man rapes; because of a woman. A man steals; because of a woman. A man commits ritual killing; because of a woman.
A gender so superior and logical yet they have been blaming all their actions on women right from the Garden of Eden. |
Career › Re: Male Boss Vs Female Boss: Who Is Easier To Work With? by Sterope(f): 7:34pm On Mar 10, 2021 |
They don't see gender when it is a man abusing his authority yet we have more men in service which means more percentage of men abusing their position. They will be the same people to shout that no one stops a woman from holding position of power. With these ones, a woman can't win. pocohantas: Men are actually subjective, way more subjective than women. If you see WhatsApp chats of my colleagues complaining of my boss, sometimes they just dismiss his attitude or even try to blame it on his wife (she is probably not giving him peace).
I bet if a woman does a tenth of what my boss does, or say the things he says- omo, them for done create like 10 threads for her matter and blame it on her vagina.
That is why I don’t take shit from my interns, before I used to walk on eggshells, lest they will say “female boss”. They almost wan put hand for my eye. They will be in the official group where I am and be exchanging words, no fear o, something they can NEVER try with my boss. It was even a guy that told me to clip their wings fast before I become the subordinate. I immediately changed tactics and under 1 week they reported to my boss that I hate them. I was just laughing |

You can go through my history before making foolish assumptions. As with the rest of your rubbish, I didn't bother. Sarita01: look at you foaming at the mouth just at the mention of racism but I'm pretty sure you're amongst the tribalist in this forum and also maybe you're a colourist in real life too, looking down on your fellow country man cos of the colour of their skin, saying things like see how he/she is black or he/she is too light skinned,a black man always thinks tribalism and colourism is the lesser evil compared to racism and I'll tell you that is complete bullshit and total hypocrisy, and I'll also tell you right now that you're a bigger hypocrite.
The very moment a black man rises above his emotions and victim mentality, then half of his problems are solved. It is never a fair world,it is the survival of the fittest in our world, logical reasoning and actions determines if you come out victorious, you can call me a royal slave,if you want(cos i see that's your only response when someone tries to shift your emotional stance on this matter) but the black man can never amount to anything if he keeps blaming the society for his inadequacies. we are a strong and resilient race but at the mention of the colour of our skin we become cry babies which is quite unfortunate and pathetic. |

Hideki: ...Of course not. I knew her first marriage with Trevor. Why did she divorce Engelson? Trevor never cheated, abused or bullied her. Do couples have misunderstandings sometimes? Yes they do but they try and work things out. Trevor couldn't handle it when Meghan sent back his ring via post. She was never reflective about her union. UTI is very stupid and is making a very stupid point. You are just contradicting yourself. Harry's family is not sensible. She did not alienate Harry from his family. They alienated them. Her non-royal status, possibly her job and race were used against her. pixey: Exactly! A sensible family takes you as their wife not as an object of prejudice. But some immature ladies who want to get married have already started having hatred for their future partner family even when they haven't met yet.It happens all the time. If I see such, consider that relationship over. Any lady that uses some romantic love as a weapon to emotionally blackmail their man in separating from his family instead of the otherwise is going to be a very very bad wife.Another point is if she is alienating herself from his family,That is a very bad sign. This is what Uti is trying to point out. |

How do you know Meghan is manipulative? Was she your ex or what? Hideki: You are still young, pray you don't marry a manipulative wife. They separate you and destroy you. Mark my words, someday Harry and Meghan are gonna divorce and you will hear another excuse. Finally, happiness is something we can never truly have. Sacrifices and compromise are what keeps a marriage going. People who leave their marriage or isolate their partner from his family only because they are chasing happiness are crafty.
