myles16:Make sure you fill all the required details, including your education history and job experience Provide at least 3 previous works you have done in the past in the portfolio section. |
The virus can stay on any surface for 3 days. I was telling someone the other day that it may be unsafe to buy fruits, wash with water, and eat. Fruits can get contaminated in the market. Time will come when you will have to look for ways to sterilize fruits before eating. After washing meats and other foodstuffs from the market, ensure you wash your hands with soap for at least 21 seconds |
Bukasint:No matter how they want discuss the narrative, he failed. It doesn't matter who he is. His statements we're illogical. That's enough! |
The world already knows about MERS, and there is a template for controlling it. Zika was already under control. Managing a new outbreak requires effective observations and studies and making rules that are coherent with the findings of your observations and studies. It requires creativity and innovation. The highest level of incompetence is using Ebola model to manage an air-born infection that can be transmitted before the career starts showing symptoms — this is what this quota system politician did! He misled the world! He left the reports of many studies and continued dishing out his illogical guidelines. Instead of leading, he's following popular opinions, and when opinions change, he changes course too — definitely not the quality of a leader. Now, we have the result — over 200,000 deaths! |
9jaRealist:My clients come to me because I do a great job and they like my services — not because of any quota system politics. I personally don't engage in personal attacks, so don't expect me to attack your person! At this point, I will simply ignore you! |
9jaRealist:Apparently, I don't work for anybody. I run my own business. If you're paid to defend him, you're really doing a terrible job by leaving facts and going racial! Between 2016 to 2020, the world has been in relative peace, so there's nothing to judge him with. The Corona outbreak that became a pandemic under him hugely due to his poor decisions exposed his incompetence badly. |
9jaRealist:To poor-minded Africans, everything is about racism. Even with over 200,000 avoidable deaths, you still think racism — God help your case! No matter how you look at it, the WHO failed, and they're being led by someone. If WHO had advised compulsorily enforced quarantine (not their newly invented sexy words that're never in epidemiology lexicon, "self-quarantine and self-isolate) for anybody with travel history to China and other places with the disease, the world wouldn't be where it is today! Who will forgo a million dollar contract he's been pursuing for months to self-quarantine when he's not yet showing any symptoms? Even with symptoms, the person will take medications to control them and go get his contact. That quota system product failed himself, his country, Africa, and the world! |
9jaRealist:I wish I have time to take you through the evidence lane, but I don't — a lot of work on my table already. I would've taken you through his Tweeter messages with dates and compare them with reports from Chinese, Japanese, and German studies — not even talking of Taiwan findings. I stopped watching TV because of the misinformation. As at first week of February, I knew the western world was in for a big trouble because they were incomprehensibly following the illogical guidelines from WHO. Never again should a quota system politician head an organization as important as the WHO. |
TOPCRUISE:He did by misinforming the world, especially the west. Even when it's proven that the virus can be spread by people who don't have symptoms, the guy was still advising checking temperatures and symptoms. He encouraged free movement. As countries realized their mistakes and started lockdown when it's obviously too late, he became a lockdown enthusiast without considering whether it's an economically viable option. He wasn't leading; he was following popular opinion — he's just a politicians! |
That product of quota system politics failed himself, his country, Africa, and the whole world. Never again should a quota system product head an organization as important as the WHO. |
tutuonye:See the ones I'm talking about — the primitive mindset. To these people, computer + internet connection = fraud. Unfortunately, over 90% of Nigerians think this way in a 21 century economy that is becoming increasingly digitalized. It's a pity. |
I have come to the conclusion that Nigeria is not a place for the innovative and talented minds. The primitive mindset is so depressing. A country where the innocent is afraid while the guilty live large is not a good place to raise children. Anywhere but Nigeria! |
DigitalBrands01:The worst part is that our law enforcement officers have succeeded in criminalizing online business that our people don't believe that one can legitimately make money online. Even after showing them my Upwork profile, they still think it's Yahoo Yahoo — even the educated ones don't believe that one can stay here and offer services to clients in different parts of the world. Our government needs to do a lot to sensitize our youths to the legitimate opportunities in digital skills and online services. Most Nigerian youths are currently afraid of computer and internet connection — no thanks to the sensational approach of EFCC and SARS. |
starbuck:I won't lie to you. Nigeria is a toxic place to be in. Aside from the bad government, the citizens are horrible — bad belle is just too much. Do anything for some people, trouble. Mind your business, still trouble. @OP, please stay safe. |
mansakhalifa:Those items we can mass-produce here with our local content. It's now for the government to encourage mass-production of those items |
tayoccu:Yes, it is. There's extreme hunger in the land. The government should lift this lockdown. Obviously, they're not achieving the intended social distancing. Hungry robbers go in groups, and people gather together to keep watch — where's the social distance? Lockdown is not an option for Nigeria. I wonder who told them they could ever achieve that in a society where over 60% depend on daily income to feed. Closing primary and secondary schools is enough because children are involved. The best option for Nigeria is to enforce compulsory facemasks and hand gloves! That's what is happening in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and these countries have achieved better control than the rest, despite recording their first cases from the very beginning. |
obembet:This is not a time for book. The crime rate and it's effects are worst than coronavirus. It's like the breakdown of law and order has not reached your end; by the time it reaches your side, no one will tell you. Lockdown is the worst option for Nigeria. Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore are not on lockdown, and they have the best control so far, despite recording their first cases in early January. |

Nuel4:Enforcing the use of facemasks and hand gloves can help a lot. Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong are doing the same, and they have better control than the rest. |

With this type of mindset, the country is doomed. A lot Indians work online, earning their country a significant amount of foreign currency. Our government should enlighten our youths and encourage them. Internet is the new oil! it can keep a lot of youths gainfully engaged. |
Carfreak966:Dent like what please? Is it that most Nigerians have criminal mindset or what? So, they assume that everyone is like them — cutting corners. I could remember that people here advised using a foreign name and ip address to open an Upwork or Fiverr profile. I'm glad I went against that advice and used my real name and address, and I never lacked orders — in fact, I get more others than I can fulfill. Currently looking for helping hands. The fact that the person I was considering was surprised that I have a Nigerian Upwork account buttresses my point about cutting corners. |
Carfreak966:I have no reason to fear EFCC. I'm earning my money legitimately. Freelancing and forex trading has nothing to do with fraud! Any undue harassment from any law enforcement officer will be met with lawsuits. Any damages must be paid for in full, including any delay in delivering my clients' orders. This your mindset is what still baffles me. Why would you or anyone else assume that working online means engaging in fraud? I still don't understand that kind of reasoning in a 21st century where there are many legitimate ways to make money online, which is why I created this thread. Is it that you don't think it's possible to make money legitimately online or what? Please, I need to understand why you guys think that way. |
milliman:Sorry o. God help your case! |
milliman:You tell me. You said computer + internet connection = Yahoo Yahoo. Then, I say you can make good living online working legitimately from home with computer and internet connection, just like Linda Ikeji did and many of us are currently doing. Did you check Nigerians on the platforms I listed up there? There are also others doing minimportation, dropshipping, and forex trading! |
milliman:Is Linda Ikeji is a Yahoo girl? Sorry bro, you need to get used to the realities of the 21st century. Google Upwork, Peopleperhour, Freelancer.com, or even Fiverr and see a lot of Nigerians making a killing for themselves. Wake up and give your life a new lease — opportunities abound! |
Why do Nigerian youths think that computer + internet connection = Yahoo Yahoo? I earn a decent living from home with freelancing and forex trading — planning to add a trading blog and YouTube channel in the near future. But I always hear people in my street murmuring that he's into Yahoo. Some even shout Yahoo when they pass my house. I find it upsetting and amusing at the same time. Do they really think that fraud is the only way to make money online? Is it that they all have criminal mindset or they're all ignorant, mentally dull, and can't think of great ways to make a living online from the comfort of their homes? This is the 21st century where people from anywhere in the world can pay you for your skills. Nigerian youths need to change their mindset. A good percentage of Indian youths work online, same as the Chinese. The Covid-19 issue has shown the world the need to work remotely. |
