The airplane known as Diamond 40, is a one person seater training aircraft which is used for training of personnel at the NAF base.

A quick Google search of the diamond 40 aircraft would reveal it is NOT a one seater aircraft.

.... There's a confidence that comes with knowing that you are going on vacation to spend your hard earned money in a country......and If they choose to deny you visa you can take your money elsewhere.

Good day all.
I applied for an SA short stay visa on Monday and was asked to pick up on Wednesday. (Shorter processing time than I expected)

I intend to do a layover in one of the Eastern countries (Kenya/Rwanda) and I'm still trying to decide which airline is better.
Although I'm hovering more towards rwandair.....do they have personalized in-flight entertainment? And I read somewhere of a PTA requirement before you are allowed to check-in. Is that still in place?

I got Kenya visa on arrival and that's on my previous passport which i also presented today and the VO confirmed it. I think I'm just not lucky cos the visa thing seems like a gamble...anybody wins

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but NLC has vowed NASU would continue the strike until their demands are made.

Quite frustrating but I do hope NASU still suspends the strike.

@Neljiggy if your reason for choosing Qatar is for the 'experience' then I'd strongly suggest you stick to Qatar as RAM doesn't come close to the Qatar experience.

You would have 3 stopovers instead of 2.
Depending on the time in between landing JFK and departing Atlanta, you might have to carry your luggage yourself from international terminal to domestic terminal.
Return trip out of JFK is at 6am. So you would have to arrive JFK the day before and either hang around the empty airport (shops don't run 24hrs) or get a hotel in town.
POE would be the least of your headaches..... that's if you have genuine reasons for being in the US


Due to Runway maintenance issues, my return trip from the US was rescheduled from Qatar to RAM. The only upside to RAM was shorter time in the air but airplane was dirty, air stewards were rude and unfriendly, food was awful, entertainment system had one or two movies only then you land in Lagos at about 2 or 3am and you'd have to wait till daybreak to leave the airport due security.

2. Fill your DS160 form. Fill her form. Pay both Visa fees. Create a profile for you and one for her. anyone who remembers how to link profiles should pls help out

3. Does the form ask for salary from your paid employment or does it just ask of income? I don't remember. But use your discretion

I received an email yesterday confirming my ielts Test center. My speaking happens to be on Sunday.
For the rest, Its Sheba Event center at mobolaji Anthony but I don't know where that is.

Unfortunately the sign post to the Sheba isn't quite visible, you have to keep an eye out to see it.
So keep right and slow down at the only traffic light on Mobolaji Bank Anthony, just after FCMB you would see the road into Sheba... beside bedmate furniture building.

But do use your GPS.

I watched both videos and saw enough to conclude that no flying was involved in both. Did you really believe that a trainee pilot will be allowed to fly an aircraft assisted? The videos you posted were videos taken in training not real flying. Nothing wrong in admitting the truth

First video, he was talking to the Ilorin airport tower requesting for a start with his flight details..
Second video, he was taxing for departure for a flight (last part of the clip has him lined up on the runway for takeoff)

Those are both considered segments of a flight.
Yes, 'trainee' pilots are allowed to fly a plane unassisted after they have passed thier solo flight assessment.. however, he has a Private pilot license (technically no longer a student/trainee pilot) which means he can fly privately but not for renumeration. He needs to have a Commercial pilot license to work with airlines.
Not sure what you mean by 'in training but not real flying'. If you have a fatal accident in training, you would be dead. No 'in training death' and 'real flying death'
